Chapter 117
The man's long and slender finger stretched out to tuck her hair behind her ear.
Looking at the face in front of him, the image of what Jessica used to look like appeared in his mind. It didn't matter which face it was, he was obsessed. "No. Don't."
In Jessica's dream, she was transported back to that country at war. Countless bullets were firing at her and going through her body.
Jessica cried out in panic. She wanted to run, but there was nowhere to hide.
Trevor saw that her forehead was sweating. His brows furrowed, and his eyes were full of concern.
"Is she having another nightmare?"
He lifted the blanket and leaned over.
In her slumber, Jessica felt that she was suddenly engulfed in a wide embrace. It was a very warm embrace. Just like that, the sense of danger she was feeling disappeared. She looked up to see that a rainbow had emerged from the previously gloomy sky.
"Freddy? Is that you?" Jessica murmured.
In her dream, she raised her head and saw a man in front of her, but his face was not clear.
Back in reality, Trevor heard the words she had just uttered.
"Freddy? Is it Alfred again?"
Trevor subconsciously held his breath as he wondered, "Does she like him that much?"
He heaved a deep sigh and tightened his grip around her body.
After so many years had passed, had she fallen for another man? But, he could not live without her, so what should he do?
Should he be selfish?
Would things end the same way as the last time?
Trevor shut his eyes and held the woman in his arms. For the first time in many years, he fell asleep
peacefully.
When Jessica woke up and saw the man lying beside her, her eyes narrowed.
"Why is he on the bed?"
Jessica wanted to move and get up, but he was holding her so tightly.
If she used force, it might open up her wound. She could not budge at all.
Jessica pursed her lips and thought, "Forget it. I'll just wait until he wakes up. Anyway, he looks so peaceful.
I don't want to wake him."
She studied the man's sleeping face. There was some subtle color on his expressionless face.
He had gone through so much in the last three years. Jessica could even see a strand of white hair peeking out from the side of his face
Jessica frowned at the sight of that. He was only 30 something years old. How could he have white hair?
"Trevor, how have you been in the last three years?"ConTEent bel0ngs to Nôv(e)lD/rama(.)Org .
As she stared at his exquisite face, her dark eyes began to emit a gleam.
"It's been so long. Are you doing well?" Jessica mumbled in a very
low voice for fear that he vernet
wakeup, or even worse er.
Even though she didn't want him to hear, she couldn't help but ask. She was probably concerned about his health. Jessica let out a long sigh. Things between them were so messy. It was unclear who owed who how much anymore. However, at this moment, she suddenly felt relieved.
"Trevor, I've paid you back what I
owe you. As for your debts, consider them settled. Once I reclaim
everything that rightfully belongs to the Queen family, I will leave this
place. I hope you will be happy."
As Jessica whispered to herself, she gently lifted a finger to touch his tall nose bridge.
Trevor's eyes suddenly shot open.
The two pairs of eyes locked, and the room once again fell into silence.
Jessica was stunned silly that she forgot to take away her finger.
"Why did he wake up?" she thought.
Trevor looked at her finger which was on his nose, and a huge smile spread across his face.
"What are you doing?"
"Nothing."
The woman regained her senses and frantically retracted her hand, feeling a little guilty.
"Why was it such a coincidence that he saw it? When did he wake up?"
Trevor reached out to grab her hand, then put her finger back on top of his nose bridge. All the while, his eyes never left her.
"Touch it. It's real. I've never gotten any fillers. It's all natural."
"Oh."
