In the quiet of Aldridge Estate, all eyes were on Colby seated on the sofa.

William, carrying a medical kit, ran down from the second floor, his proficiency stirring empathy.

"Here! Where is he?"

Rushing to the crowd, William soon noticed Adler lying on the stretcher.

"Good Lord!"

After a quick examination of Adler's condition, William concluded urgently, "Heavens, if he had been brought back any later, the wound might have healed on its own!"
