The next morning, Jenna quietly opened Adler's bedroom door and tiptoed towards her own room. She had barely taken a few steps when she heard Sophie's voice behind her: "Jenna, why are you walking around without shoes this early?"
Startled, Jenna turned to see Sophie standing there in her pajamas.
Still holding her high heels, Jenna quickly hid them behind her back and said, "I didn't want to wake you all up."
Noticing Jenna's flushed face, Sophie raised an eyebrow. "Did you drink too much again last night?"
"It wasn't me! It was Adler! He drank too much! I was just helping him to his room, and he wouldn't let go of my hand! I ended up falling asleep too."
Jenna waved her hands dismissively. "I just didn't want you to get the wrong idea."
"Oh..." Sophie gave her a knowing look.
Jenna's anxiety spiked. "I'm serious!"
"I get it, Jenna. You don't need to explain."
Seeing Sophie's expression, Jenna was sure Sophie had misunderstood. At that moment, Sophie eyed the men's shirt Jenna was wearing.
Realizing she was still in Adler's shirt, Jenna quickly said, "I'm serious! He even threw up on me last night, and I had no choice but to wear his shirt!" Adler, scratching his tousled hair and squinting, opened his bedroom door. He saw Jenna and Sophie and asked, "What are you two arguing about so early?" Adler looked from one to the other, clueless.
Jenna jumped in, "Adler! Tell her! You were the one who drank too much last night! You wouldn't let me go and even threw up on me!"
"Huh?" Adler was still waking up, his brain not quite in gear.
Seeing Jenna's desperate signals, Adler slapped his forehead and said, "Oh yeah, I drank too much last night. Jenna brought me back, and I wouldn't let her leave and threw up on her!"
Adler parroted the story.
Sophie sighed. "I know all this, no need to repeat."

Jenna gave an awkward smile. "I've been up all night taking care of Adler. I'm still sleepy. I'm going back to bed."

"An invitation? For a wedding?"

Excited, she pulled Adler closer. "Did you see this? A wedding invitation! I'm the first one to get it!"
Adler, who had been drinking all night, felt his head ache as Jenna shook him. "I know, I know, I found out last night!"
"What? You knew last night? Then why didn't you tell me?"
Before Jenna could get mad, Adler explained, "After Colby told me about the wedding, I dragged him out for dunks! Who knew that guy who usually doesn't drink, could hold his liquor so well! Meanwhile ended up suffering! Just thinking about it makes me mad!"
