Seeing that time was running out, Shane called the front desk and asked someone to come and check on Mayra. The hotel front desk sent up a box of gastrointestinal medicine.
“Hello, Miss. A gentleman instructed us to give you this box of gastrointestinal medicine along with some food. A hotel attendant will come up later. Do you need me to pour you a glass of water?”
“Yes, thank you.”

Hailey gripped the spoon tightly as she ate from the bowl, her short hair hanging over her shoulders. She lowered her head and said, “I’m not qualified.”
“The Fisher family has agreed not to cancel the engagement. My task is done.” As she finished her last words, her chin was forcefully gripped by the man. He was forcing her to look at him.
