Chapter 152: Lover’s Quarrel
Giselle's POV
After Alpha Theron took Astrid away, Killian's mood changed. He dragged me by the arm and pushed me inside the car without saying anything.
He never spoke a word as he drove the car. He remained silent even after I demanded answers. His expression remained cold as he kept his gaze on the road, not paying me any of his attention. Killian has never acted like this, cold and silent. The treatment that he gave me terrified me. For a moment, I thought he was going to take me somewhere to kill me.
Instead, he drove us back to the Silvermoon Pack, surprising me.
My heart raced when Killian suddenly pulled me out of the car. "Killian, what are you doing?!" I yelled at him as I struggled against his hold.
I felt humiliated when I saw the Omegas that served us in the Packhouse were looking at us.
Their eyes were glued to Killian's hand, and they were tightly wrapped around my arm.
I glared at the Omegas who were watching us. They instantly turned their heads away like they saw nothing when they noticed my angry gaze.
"Let me go! Killian, you're hurting me!" I cried out, my voice trembling with fear.
However, my pleas fell on deaf ears as Killian continued forward, his hand tightening around my arm as I fought against him.
I yelped when we finally reached my bedroom, and Killian suddenly pushed me to my bed.
"Luna!" my maids, who were cleaning my room, rushed towards me when they saw what happened.
Concern and worry were etched on their faces as they carefully lifted me up and helped me face Killian. I placed a hand on my huge belly to protect my baby.
"Get out!" Killian yelled at them, making them scurry outside in fear after they were done helping me.
I glared at Killian as he towered over me, his eyes burning with an intensity that I had never witnessed. This is the first time he ever looked at me with so much hate.Belonging to NôvelDrama.Org.
"Giselle, you've gone crazy," Killian spoke with his brows furrowed together.
"I was trying to protect you!" I shouted back. I don't know how much I've already told him this, but he doesn't believe me. "I was panicking. I was so afraid. I only did the first thing that came to my mind." I dropped to my knees and crawled towards him. "Killian, It was an accident. I-I didn't mean to do it. I'm sorry, please forgive me."
I reached and held his hand as I
begged on my knees and looked up
at him. Killian looked at me with a hard expression on his face. He watched with his brows pressed together as tears streamed down my eyes.
However, he pushed me away and turned his back on me. My expression darkened as I was flung to the floor, my hair hiding my face.
My tears had always worked on Killian. I thought I could soften his heart this time, but he was really angry with the fact that I harmed Astrid.
Killian shook his head slowly, his lips pressed into a thin line. "There's no use trying to hide the truth, Giselle You use a dagger that was already laced with wolfsbane. Why would you bring such a weapon unless this was all part of your twisted plan."
I gasped. My head snapped at him as my eyes widened. I shook my head and swallowed hard as I thought of an excuse.
It's true, that was my plan, but I didn't expect that Killian would see through it. I shouldn't have brought such an obvious weapon.
I was so desperate that I failed to think about that.
"Killian," I whispered his name. "I did what I had to do to protect you," I pleaded with trembling lips.
"I'm disappointed, Giselle," Killian
said, his tone laced with a sorrowful
resignation. "I thought you were different. I thought I could trust you. Where was the kind and gentle woman that I've known who would never harm anybody?"
"Killian, you could trust me. My whole life, I never lied to you!" I begged as I stepped towards him on my knees. "I'm not like them. I will never fool you."
Killian glanced down at me with coldness in his gaze. He doesn't believe me. He thinks I'm the villain because he now believes in Astrid more than he believes in me.
"Once I give birth, you will realize who is telling the truth," I added desperately.
I cannot lose Killian's trust in me. I'm not even the Pack's Luna yet.
"If performing a DNA test on our son will prove that I'm innocent, then I'm willing to do that," Tears welled in my eyes as I spoke, but it didn't soften Killian's attitude towards me. "From now on, you are grounded. You are not allowed to get out of this room until you give birth," Killian commanded coldly.
I felt the air leave my lungs as if Killian's words had hit me like a physical blow. He is going to confine me in here?! What would the people think? What will I do here? "Killian, please! Please don't do it!" I hugged his legs as I cried.
"And if I found out that child is not mine, then you must be executed as a punishment for deceiving me," Killian added.
I froze at his words. "Y-you're going to kill me?" I breathed out.
"If you want to save your life, then you have to be honest right now. If you tell me the truth before you give birth, I might spare your life."
