CHAPTER 21
On the day of departure.
An army of Ever Moon Pack soldiers was gathered by the borderline at dawn.
Damien and Chloe would ride with the Ever Moon troops going back to Riverside. Other pack’s Alpha, such as Jared, would go back to their own pack and assemble the army before joining them in Riverside.
Chloe stood by their car and gazed viciously at Aurora, who was walking between lines to check on her soldiers.
Aurora’s long braid swung behind her back as she walked. Her figure seemed petite compared to all those sturdy
werewolf soldiers. But all those Alpha-male bowed to her respectively when she came close.
Chloe clenched her fists with fury.
She couldn’t believe Aurora was winning all those guys’ attention! What a bunch of losers!
Then an evil grin tugged at Chloe’s lips.
They were now heading back to Riverside Pack now. That was her territory. All her family and friends were there!
She would make sure to give that b**h Aurora a piece of her mind. Soon enough, Aurora would run back to Ever Moon Pack, tail between her legs, like a complete loser.
Aurora finished with the check-ups and walked to the side.
Jared was there waiting for her.
“So I guess will see you in Silver Blade Pack later,” Jared smiled.
“Yes I believe so,” Aurora said.
Jared’s light blue eyes looked beyond Aurora’s shoulder and to Damien, who was staring intensely at them in the
distance.
“Hopefully when I come back to you months later, you are still single.” Jared winked playfully at her, “I don’t want to lose you to your other admires while I am away.”
“Don’t be ridiculous. I am going to Silver Blade Pack for training, not dating.” Aurora laughed.
“And I am counting on that.”
Jared leant forward and pulled Aurora into his arms for a hug. Aurora was startled for a moment. But his gesture was polite so she didn’t push him away.
“See you later, my Gamma princess.” Jared whispered, while locking eyes with Damien.
Seeing that Damien’s face had darkened,
“I will miss you.”
Smiled even more brightly and landed a kiss on Aurora’s cheek.
After saying goodbye with Jared, Aurora turned around and walked towards Damien and Chloe.
“Alpha Damien,” she said in an all-professional voice. “Would you like to drive your own car? Or would you like to ride with our troops?”
Damien’s body became strained when he saw Jared kissing Aurora and then she didn’t push him away.
Now hearing Aurora talking to him so aloofly, Damien seemed even more irritated.
“I want you to ride in my car,” he said sternly, his sharp gaze on her.
Aurora raised an eyebrow, “Why is that?”
“I need to talk to you about the training. We have 4 to 5 hours ahead of us. It is the perfect timing.”
“Damien!” Chloe grunted. I don’t want to be in the same car with her.”
But Damien totally ignored her. He was still waiting for Aurora’s answer.
“Please don’t exploit my Gamma like that,” Lance said loudly while walking towards them with Rivena.
He wrapped his arms around Aurora’s shoulder and grinned at Damien, “We have plenty of time after we arrived at Riverside. For now, I just want to Aurora to rest. So of course she rides in my car.”
Damien narrowed his eyes, “I think Aurora can make her own decision. And can you not put your hands on her shoulder without asking her?”
Lance revealed a bright smile at him, “Oh I think Aurora doesn’t mind.”
These two large men glared at each other. Tension was building up.
Aurora sighed, “Alpha Damien, I can ride in your car if you like. There is no need to fight about that.”
Damien’s face finally softened.
Lance shrugged and casually planted a kiss on Aurora’s forehead before walking away. Rivena followed behind his back. She deliberately yelled at Chloe before leaving:
“Oh and Chloe, we have an ambulance ready for you in case you get car sick or anything during the trip. Please don’t sue us for being cruel again!”
Rivena’s voice was loud enough for everyone to hear.
People all turned to gaze at Chloe, snickering.
Chloe’s face turned flaming red instantly.
Damien didn’t notice Chloe’s embarrassment at all.
Hews
He was glaring at Lance’s back.
Then he directed his gaze back to Aurora and snapped, “How many men do you have to kiss in one day?”
First Jared and then Lance…How many more were still out there?!
“Lance is my brother. And Jared…”
“What about Jared?” Damien asked forcefully.

Aurora was irritated by his tone, “It was only a goodbye kiss…a propriety! But probably a northern savage like you
won’t understand!”
Damien almost threw a punch at his car.
Northern salvage?!
Had she forgotten where she came from originally?
Or did she think these southern playboys like Lance and Jared were better than him?
Aurora didn’t ponder on this topic any longer and said, “It is getting late. We should really get going now.”
Damien still looked in fume. He got in the driver’s seat and slammed the door shut with a loud bang.
Chloe rushed to the front seat. She wanted to sit by Damien’s side.Original content from NôvelDrama.Org.
But the moment she opened the front door, she heard Damien’s cold voice traveling from the inside:
“I need to talk to Gamma Aurora. Chloe, you go seat in the back.”
Chloe gritted her teeth and obeyed his order in grievance.
When they finally hit the road, Chloe started to get even more frustrated.
The two sitting in the front were having a heated discussion about training plans and war tactic, which made absolutely no sense to Chloe.

She couldn’t join the conversation even if she wanted to!
She felt completely invisible here in the back seat!

F***k, why didn’t she learn something about training and patrol back in school? Damien signed up those classes for
her. She just found them a waste of her time.
If she had known that those knowledge would help her get Damien’s attention, she would certainly have studied
harder!
Aurora and Damien’s heated discussion lasted for 2 hours. Chloe was so bored that she almost fell asleep.
Half-asleep, she heard Aurora saying to Damien in the front:
…But I strongly advice against you driving the car yourself in the future-”
Chloe snapped her eyes open, fully awake all of a sudden.
“What do you know!” She sat up and chimed in urgently, “Damien drives the car himself because he doesn’t want to bother his chauffer! He is a grounded man!…Not everyone is a spoiled brat like you Aurora!”
Damien frowned disapprovingly, “Chloe…
“Miss Chloe,” Aurora replied with a freezing tone. “I only gave Alpha Damien such an advice for military purpose. In a marching army, an Alpha should always stay alert. Driving by himself would only distract him and is a waste of his talent. Of course what he does in his free time is none of my business…So can you not interrupt me if you don’t know a thing about what we have been talking?”
Chloe’s face turned red, “I didn’t…”
“And how can you criticize ME for being spoiled?”
Aurora raised her eyes and looked at Chloe in the rearview mirror.
“Have you forgotten how you used to force me to drive you around? You like having me, the Luna, as your personal chauffer. And you would snatch the car wheel from me when you were drunk. Do you still remember the time when you hit a pedestrian after drinking a full bottle of vodka?”
“LIARI” Chloe shrieked furiously, “I didn’t-”
“You did. I was in the same car with you when it happened! You wouldn’t let me take the wheel because you enjoyed the thrill of drunk driving! Ring a bell now?”
What?” Damien tightened his grip on the wheel, “Chloe, how come I didn’t know about this?!”

Chloe blurted in panic, “D-Don’t listen to Aurora! It was her! She hit a pedestrian, not me! You can check the
police report-”
“You bribed the police afterwards and framed it on me. I got called as ‘drunk-hit Luna’ for a full month afterwards. You probably didn’t remember because that was not the first thing that you framed me for.”
“NO! Damien! Don’t listen to her bullshit-
“Whatever.” Aurora flattened her chair and closed her eyes. “I am taking a nap now.”
She zoomed out from Damien’s fury and Chloe’s desperate cries and yells.
Their trope kept heading to the north.
3 hours later, they crossed the borderline.
The weather was getting cold, the cloud becoming dense and the scenery outside the window was turning bleak.
Aurora woke up from her nap in a familiar chilly breeze.
She was back.
Back at Silver Blade Pack.
