Chapter 37 Promise Me
Chapter 37 Promise Me
But Jason and Angel did not take these comments serious.
On the top floor, Angel put on her hat and pressed the brim.
Jason and Zak looked at each other and saw each other's doubts from their eyes.
Angel was extremely skilled at doing this.
When she arrived at Jason's office, Angel opened the meal box and said, “Oh, I'm starving to death.
Please hurry up. My meatballs are going to be soft and not taste good.”
Jason smiled.
Zak went out and closed the door. He badly needed to find a place to calm himself.
Since when had Miss Angel become a guest of honor?
Mr. Jason was gentle to Miss Angel.
Angel laid out the meal and put chopsticks into his hands. “Jason, come and taste my cooking.”
Two portions of rice, one of fried meatballs, one of beef brisket with potato and tomato, and a
vegetatable soup. Angel took two paper cups and poured the soup into them.
Jason had a meeting in the moring and and he was hungry.
Just as he was about to pick up the meatballs, Angel handed him the cup of soup. “Start with the soup
and tell your stomach you're ready to eat.”
She tilted her head and smiled at him.
Jason was chocked, because Belled used to say that.
Angel picked up her cup and took a sip of soup, then picked up the meatballs.
Jason drank a mouthful of soup, it was good.
As she ate, Angel told Jason what had happened at school in the morning.
Jason was listening quietly with a smile on the lips. Angel like this was lovely.
Angel did not mention Anna came to her.
“Jason, am I good?” She complacently said to Jason.
Jason gently nodded with a smile.
Angel was content.
“I think in the future those male students will be crazy after you, and you may not have time to deliver
food to me.” Jason said with a smile.
Angel froze. “Why?”
“Didn't you let them come to you if they have questions? Of course, they can go to you with a straight
face.” Jason looked at her. Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.
Angel waved her hand. “Oh, it's okay. Hugo will deal with it! This period of time, the snacks those boys
sent were eaten by Hugo, so he would take care of it.”
Then she explained Professor Jordan's requirements, “Hugo said that if they meet the requirements, he
will ask me out for them. Don't worry, I'm sure that no one can meet the requirements until the end of
the semester. They were all cheated by the old man!”
Jason looked at Angel gently, listening to the interesting thing between her and Hugo.
“By the way, Jason, is the food delicious?” Angel asked.
Jason took the last mouthful of rice and noded, “Hmm, very delicious.”
Angel laughed her eyes out. “That's great.”
Jason said, “How much is it?”
Angel cocked her head and looked at Jason.
The vision of Jason was very gentle.
“I've decided not to charge. Just promise me one thing.” Angel looked at him.
Jason was surprised, “Didn’t you say you have no money?”
Angel shook her head. “It doesn't matter. I will think of other ways to earn money.”
“Well, what do you want me to promise?” Jason looked at her with interest.
Angel thought for a while, “Promise me, don't like Anna, can you?” Her face was serious and her voice
went cold.
Jason was stunned, “Change condition.”
Angel’s heart was painful. She almost cried and looked at Jason.
Jason said, “I won’t like Anna. You don’t have to do that.”
Angel was touched.
Tears fell down, and she took tissue to wipe them, and smiled, “No need not change, that is it.”
Jason touched Angel's head and said softly, “Angel, I have never liked Anna.”
Angel nodded heavily and lowered her eyes. “Ok! I see.”
Okay, that was enough.
Zak knocked at the door to come in.
“Mr. Jason, the meeting will be held in twenty minutes.”
Jason nodded.
“Shall I send you home?” Jason asked Angel.
Angel picked up the meal box. “I'll just take a cab.”
Jason said, “Or, you wait here I, I will go with you after the meeting.”
Angel's eyes lit up. “Ok! Then I will wait for you, I promise not to make any noise!”
Angel said it almost instinctively.
Jason smiled. Zak lowered his head to cover his smile.
Angel murmured, “I have always waited for my brother in his office.”
Jason cleared his throat and nodded. “Well, there is a rest room inside. If you get tired, you can go
there and rest. The meeting will take about three hours.”
Angel nodded and pulled out her laptop. “I have homework to do.”
Jason walked out with Zak.
It was obvious that Angel was attached to her brother, and she thought of him as her brother, perhaps
unconsciously.
She was a lovely girl. No wonder Belle liked her so much.
“Mr. Jason.” Zak called him.
“Yes?”
“Rumor has it that Kyle and Young Master Duncan are very close and Kyle is very protective of his
brother, so I think the Young Master Duncan is Miss Angel, not the real Young Master Duncan.” Zak
whispered in a voice that only two people could hear.
Jason froze.
A faint smile showed from her lips.
It was possible.
Interesting.
Zak found his smile and was shocked.
He did not expect Miss Angel could make his Boss laugh.
Miss Angel's identity was not simple.
Zak showed a wry smile.
When Jason finished the meeting, it was late afternoon.
When he reached the office door, he remembered that there was a girl in the office.
Angel hadn't sent him message all afternoon. Had she gone?
He pushed open the office door.
The light of the setting sun fell on the sofa.
Angel curled up on the sofa and slept soundly.
On the coffee table, there was a laptop and several pages of penciled manuscripts.
Jason picked up the manuscript. It was a sketch of several men's suits, shirts and accessories, which
should not have been completed.
Angel designed clothes?
Was it just for fun?
This gril had great talent. Learning seemed to be easy to her.
Jason put down the manuscript and looked at the sleeping Angel.
She curled up in a small ball and slept like a child. It was said that people who sleep in this position did
not have a secure childhood, caused by insecurity.
With a brother like Kyle, did she still feel insecure?
Angel moved the body and fell to the carpet.
“Ouch!” Angel got up, spellily.
Jason could not help but laugh and hurried to help her, “Does it hurt?”
Angel's long hair fell down as waterfall. She rubbed her eyes with one hand and pulled it over her head
with the other. “Can we go home now?
Jason touched her head, “Yes, I will send you back.”
Angel gathered her things.
“You studied fashion design?” Jason asked, holding her manuscript.
Angel took the manuscript from his hand and put it in her bag. “No, but I like it. I draw it when I am at
leisure.”
She looked up to see Jason looked at her and said with a smile, “How about I design a few sets of
clothes to you, and you can put on to advertise for me. Maybe I'm the fashion designer of tomorrow!”
She began to laugh.
Jason noded and agreed without hesitation, “Ok, then I'm waiting for your design.”
Jason had infinite patience when facing Angel.
As they were about to walk out, Zak came in, “Mr. Jason, something is wrong.”
Jason asked in a cold voice, “What's the matter?”
Zak took a look at Angel, “Mr. Jacob had a car accident.”
“Where? Is he all right?” Jason accelerated his pace.
“He should be all right. He called me himself. I think he had had drunk.” Zak said.
Both men quickened their pace.
Angel silently followed them.
In the elevator, Jason said. “Angel, come with me to deal with it first.”
Angel nodded curtly.
On the outskirts of the city there was a vast expanse of empty wasteland, owned by an unknown
develope, that had never been constructed, but the asphalt road had been paved. Because few people
would come here, so it became a place to race cars.
It was so far from the city that no one would complain about a roaring engine.
They sped along. Zak drove fast but steady.
Angel gave up her thought after she glanced at Jason’s cold face.
Soon the arrived at the scene of the accident.
A Lamborghini made a close encounter with a power pole, with devastating consequences.
It didn't look like a bunch of people racing, or else there wouldn't be just one old car here.
Angel could not help but look around the car, which was a global limited edition, and now it turned into
scrap iron!
There was no one at the wheel.
At this time the sky had been dark, and there were no street lights, only Jason’s car lights were on.
“Jacob!” Jason shouted.
“Mr. Jacob!” Zak shouted, while making a phone call.
Angel jumped up when the phone rang.
She didn't hesitate to kick when she felt a hand grab her ankle.
Plump! Something heavy fell into the ditch by the side of the road.
“Jacob!
“Mr. Jacob!”
