Chapter 31 His Visit Was Quite Sudden
In her last class, Eileen asked for leave and went to Serene Hospital.
Stopping at the hospital’s entrance, she bought a bunch of flowers. Although she wasn’t sure what Elm liked, she settled for Blake chrysanthemums as they were the only ones available at the flower shop.
Feeling a sense of heartbreak, she spent fifty dollars on the flowers and asked the shop owner to wrap them nicely.
Eileen asked the front desk where Elm’s ward was and took the elevator to the twelfth floor.
“Honey, what are you looking at?” Elsie asked as she wore sunglasses and revealing clothes. while she was holding Eric’s arm.
Eric looked away immediately.
Was that person Eileen?
Two people were enough as the hospital was full of people. If Will found out about the two of them being at the hospital, they might get in trouble.
Eileen was praying hard for Eric not to recognize her.
As Eileen walked out of the elevator, she coincidentally encountered a middle-aged man pushing a wheelchair with a nineteen-year-old boy sitting in it. The boy was remarkably handsome, resembling a character from a comic book. He had a peculiar blue tattoo on the back of his hand that extended under his long sleeves.
Eileen could not help but glance at him a few times, but she quickly looked away when he passed by.
Unexpectedly, the middle-aged man pushing the wheelchair stopped, turned around, and looked back. They had just come out of that ward, and Eileen went in. “Mr. Jasper, it’s Ms. Swan. It looks like she entered Elm’s ward. It seems that she didn’t recognize you.”
Jasper’s gloomy eyes were partially hidden by his hair, and an air of unhappiness emanated. from him as he responded coldly, “After Eileen leaves, transfer Elm to another hospital, watch carefully, and don’t let anyone bother him.”
“Yes, Mr. Jasper.” Belongs to © n0velDrama.Org.
Once inside the elevator, Jasper overheard a voice from the nearby ward. A bouquet of Blake chrysanthemums was thrown out, and Elm’s angry voice followed, “Eileen, I’m not damn dead yet! Why did you bring chrysanthemums? Are you cursing me?”
kept explaining and apologizing. “Elm, I came to see you sincerely. I went to the flower shop to buy flowers for you. This is the only bouquet left. It cost me fifty dollars, which is already very expensive.”
“Get out, Eileen! If you dare to appear in front of me, I’ll kill you!”
Picking up
the flowers from the ground, Eileen spoke calmly, “Elm… Why are you so angry? Aren’t we even now?”
Eileen noticed Elm’s injuries; his left hand and both feet were in plaster, indicating a severe condition, likely caused by Eric.
Eric had been ruthless.
While Eileen had her share of faults in the past, Eric had completely shattered her arrogant. and domineering personality in her previous life.
Now, she could not bear to see anyone suffer.
Seeing Elm in pain, Eileen felt an unexpected surge of compassion.
“Get out of here!”
Albert walked out with Charlie, who said impatiently, “Leave! He’s been healed and now you’re opening out his wounds again. You’re toxic!”
Upon noticing the people by the elevator, Albert’s expression turned strange, and he quickly warned Charlie.
Charlie noticed that Eileen hadn’t left yet, so he restrained himself a bit and said, “You should keep the flower for yourself and don’t come here again.”
Eileen’s face showed regret as she responded, “I really don’t know much about flowers. What’s wrong with chrysanthemums? They are still beautiful. I might as well take them back, dry them, and make tea.
“Elm. I’ll visit you again tomorrow.”
Charlie noticed that the person hadn’t left yet, so he restrained himself a little, “You should give this flower to yourself, and don’t come here in the future.”
Eileen’s face was full of regret, “I really don’t know anything about goods, what’s wrong with chrysanthemums? They’re flowers anyway, they look so pretty, and you can make tea with
them.”
“Elm, I’ll visit you again tomorrow.”

“What kind of flowers do you like? I’ll bring it to you tomorrow.”
From inside the ward, another glass was thrown out, accompanied by an irritable voice, “Eileen, you’re not done bothering me yet?”
Eileen was pulled away, and the cup nearly hit her. When she noticed Eric standing beside her, she was surprised, “Eric, why are you at the hospital?”
Eric looked her up and down, asking. “Are you okay? Did you get hurt?”
“I’m fine.” She had been immediately kicked out when she entered, so she could not do anything with Elm.
“Eric, are you sick?”
“It’s nothing, my gut’s just feeling a bit sick. I came to the hospital to get it checked. Eric frowned and questioned, “Did you come to see Elm on purpose?”
Eileen hesitated before speaking, “Eric… Elm was beaten like that, did you do it?”
Eric’s face darkened, “Eileen, do you really think I’m someone who would do such a thing?”
So, it’s not Eric?
Then who could it be?
If it were Eric, he would never hide it, and if it was not him, he would not admit to it either.
“No, it’s not…” Seeing Eric’s sullen expression, Eileen quickly tried to flatter him, “I thought you beat him up for me. So I thought you did that.”
“Are you saying that I should have beaten him up for you?”
Eileen waved her hands in fright, “No, that’s not what I meant…“
“Alright, I was just teasing you. Why are you so nervous? Shall I send you back to school or directly home?”
Eileen declined and said, “I asked for leave from school, and I have piano lessons later. I can walk over there; it’s not too far.”
Eric glanced at his watch, “Alright, just be careful then. After the piano lessons, remember to call the driver and don’t wander around.”
“Okay.” Eileen nodded.
It was riskier to follow him.

Eileen massaged her throbbing temples. She could not help but wonder why she kept running into Eric everywhere she went.
Is he haunting me?
I guess I’ll visit Elm tomorrow.
His visit today was quite sudden…

Jasper sat in the back seat, gazing at the blue tattoo on his hand. “Richard, do you think appearance scares people?” he asked with concern. He always wore long sleeves to hide the tattoo, fearing how others might react if they saw it.
“No, Miss Swan simply doesn’t know you well yet. Once she gets to know you better, she’ll understand you,” Richard assured Jasper.
“Mr. Jasper, you tend to be serious, which naturally makes ordinary people hesitant to approach him. But with someone like Miss Swan, it’s best to show a kind and friendly side, especially since she’s a girl,” he added.
Jasper held his tablet, and the lock screen was a picture of Eileen’s back, taken discreetly by him.
“However, Mr. Jasper, you should follow the doctor’s orders for a full recovery,” Richard reminded him.
“Yes, I will,” Jasper replied gratefully, acknowledging that it was thanks to Eileen that he could. return to the hospital for treatment.
His leg surgery was scheduled for tomorrow, and Jasper could not help but think about how much effort Eileen had put into helping Jasper regain his health. Eileen’s presence had a profound impact on his life, pulling him out of the darkness he had been living in for so long.
As Eileen left the hospital, she received a call from the driver, informing her that her father was angry after finding out she left school on her own. And, once again, it was Eric causing
the trouble.
