Yasmine looked at the worried Lucy and felt a bit helpless. She took a breath and explained, "Lucy, since I agreed to the divorce, that means I've moved on from Xavier. As she was lost in thought that she finally got back her long-lost campus life, a loud voice broke her concentration. "Yasmine? What are you doing here?" Yasmine turned around and instantly spotted Helen's sharked, disdainful face. Yasmine, frowned slightly and had no intention of engaging with her.
But Helen wasn't ready to let her walk away. She marched right up to Yasmine and blocked her path. "What are you playing at? I'm asking you, why are you here? You think Aurelith University is just a place you can waltz into?
Helen was used to looking down on Yasmine. She acted that way while Yasmine was. married to Xavier, and even now, nothing changed. Yasmine wasn't in the mood to deal with her, though. "Move aside," she said calmly, adjusting her bag. Her voice held a hint of coldness. Helen's face twisted in anger. She couldn't believe Yasmine would ignore her like that. After all, Yasmine used to hang on her every word. She sneered, "Ignore me, huh, Yasmine? Just because you divorced Xavier doesn't mean you can act tough. Aurelith University is a prestigious school; a woman like you- divorced and without a degree-has no business being here. Get lost. You're dragging down the university's reputation." 1/2

Helen's words were sharp and hurtful, yet Yasmine had heard much worse from her and Selena. Yasmine lowered her long lashes, thinking, 'Looks like Helen didn't learn anything from last time. She still sees me as the push-over I used to be. Yasmine lifted her gaze, her voice icy. "Helen, Aurelith University values integrity and kindness. Having a student like you is a true embarrassment for the school."
"What did you just say?" Helen's face froze for a moment before her anger erupted. "You think you can lecture me with your poor education? The school may value that, but it doesn't matter to you!"
Feeling annoyed by Helen's persistent taunts, Yasmine pulled her work ID from her pocket and waved it in front of her. "Look closely. I work here."
Helen didn't bother to read the details on the ID but was stunned that Yasmine actually worked there. After a second thought, a smirk crossed her face as another idea popped into her head.
She sneered, "Oh right! Women like you, without a degree or a decent diploma, must be a cleaner. You must be struggling after divorce Xavier, right? Honestly, this job suits

Yasmine initially brushed off Helen's insults. But it was almost eight o'clock, and she didn't want to be late for her first day at work.
Her patience wore thin, and her voice turned cold. "Helen, I've divorced Xavier. You don't need to come at me for some sense of superiority. Stop buzzing around and provoking me. Maybe you should focus on how to impress your new sister-in-law instead."
