Chapter 200 It was Gone
Chapter 200 It was Gone
Adelaide had a sound sleep this night. After midnight, Aadam also fell asleep.
It was summer. Therefore, when Adelaide woke up, the sun was high in the sky. She opened her bleary
eyes and recalled what happened in the bar yesterday.
She remembered that someone brought her into the bathroom before she fell asleep.
Was that Antonio? Adelaide thought. She raised her head and looked around. She had thought that
she was in her bedroom, but she found that she was in a strange room.
It was also a bedroom, but it was a little larger than her bedroom. Without pink decoration, there was
only a white queen-size bed and a computer desk. The left of the bed was a door while the right of the
bed was a balcony.
It was obviously different from her bedroom.
Where was this place? She soon came up with this question. She even panicked and wondered if she
had been taken away by a bad guy.
Her worries melted away the next second because she saw Aadam.
"Good morning." Aadam smiled at her, "This is my house. You were drunk yesterday, so I took you
here. This is my bedroom."
Hearing his explanation, Adelaide was greatly relieved.
"Well, thank you." After saying these words, Adelaide was silent for a while and then asked, "I...Did I
say anything last night?"
Aadam shook his hand hurriedly, "You were quiet and basically said nothing."
"That's good." Adelaide leapt out of bed, "Well, where's the bathroom?"
Aadam finally knew what to do and led a way out hurriedly, "Follow me."
After leading Adelaide to the bathroom, Aadam took some effort to find a spare toothbrush and a towel.
After all, few people visited his villa at ordinary times and he didn't attach much importance to preparing
these items.
Angel happened to come to the bathroom at this moment. After looking at Adelaide meaningfully, she
began to brush her teeth without saying a word.
Feeling slightly embarrassed, Aadam rubbed hands and didn't know what to do.
Adelaide was also stunned. She had forgotten that Angel was with Aadam.
Seeing that Adelaide had finished washing, Aadam said, "What about having breakfast here?"
Adelaide was sorry to disturb them. Besides, woman's sixth sense told her that it wasn't appropriate for
her to stay here.
She could perceive Angel's hostility.
"I'm afraid that I can't." Adelaide politely refused, "I didn't go home last night. Maybe Antonio is waiting
at home and feeling worried about me."
Aadam's face darkened. He felt uncomfortable when he heard Antonio's name. This belongs © NôvelDra/ma.Org.
He didn't try to keep Adelaide any longer, "I'll send you home."
Adelaide instinctively wanted to refuse, but she couldn't keep refusing Aadam. After all, Aadam had
helped her last night.
"Thank you." It was obvious that that Adelaide had agreed to let Aadam send her home.
Aadam's eyes gleamed, "Wait a moment. I have to wash my face first." As he spoke, he took a towel,
wet it and then wiped his face casually. Then he took the lead and left the bathroom.
When he opened the door, Angel, who had been in the bathroom, suddenly asked, "Aadam, aren't you
going to have breakfast?"
"Don't wait for me, Angel. I'll go to the company directly after I send Adelaide home." As he spoke, he
and Adelaide left the house.
There was only Angel left in such a large villa. She stood in the bathroom with an aggrieved
expression.
After coming out of Aadam's villa, Adelaide was surprised to find that she was very familiar with this
area.
She wondered if there was a place that had similar surroundings to that of her home in J City.
When she was puzzled, they had come up to Aadam's car. Seeing that she was puzzled, Aadam asked
while knowing the answer, "What's wrong, Addie?"
He called Adelaide by her pet name. In fact, his heart palpitated the moment he uttered the word
"Addie". He had never been like this in the past years.
He was afraid that Adelaide would dislike his addressing her like this, but Adelaide didn't question what
he said at all as if she didn't notice it.
"I just find the surroundings here very similar to that of my house." Adelaide told him her thought
directly. She looked back at Aadam and found that his face was a little red.
She frowned, "Aadam, are you feeling uncomfortable?"
Aadam shook his head at once, "Where do you live?"
Mario had offered to send this villa to him, and he accepted it just because he knew that it was not far
from Adelaide's home.
He asked so because he was afraid that Adelaide would know that he had ulterior motives.
Adelaide didn't hesitate and told him her address.
Aadam looked at Adelaide in surprise, "What a coincidence. My house is not far away from yours. It'll
just take me a few minutes to get there by car."
"Really?" Adelaide smiled. Yes, she suddenly felt that it was a fate for them to know each other.
"Get in." Aadam opened the rear door of the car and gentlemanly made a gesture to let her get on the
car.
Just like Aadam said, Adelaide saw her luxurious villa several minutes after Aadam started the car.
She supported her chin with one hand, "It seems that we're neighbors."
"Right, fancy that." Aadam agreed.
"Well, why not stop the car here?" Adelaide said.
Aadam nodded and stopped the car in a steady way.
Adelaide opened the door and got off the car. When she was about to close the door, Aadam suddenly
asked, "Neighbor, let's socialize more in the future."
Adelaide was stunned for a moment and then nodded.
Aadam smiled at Adelaide again. Then, he started the car, made a turn and left. Instead of standing
there, Adelaide walked to her home.
Back in home, Adelaide sat on the sofa. There was breakfast on the table, and half of them had been
eaten. Having not seen Antonio in the hall, Adelaide knew that he should have gone to work.
Strange to say, when Antonio stayed at home to wait for her, she would be scared and preyed in her
heart that Antonio would not wait for her the next time she didn't come home at night, but she felt a little
lost when Antonio didn't stay at home to wait for her.
