As soon as Bruno returned to Ocean Villa, he received a call from Freddy.

"Bruno, how is Mashauva doing? Has her coming-of-age ceremony ended?"

He sounded very anxious and out of breath.

Bruno looked at his watch and pursed his lips. "The ceremony was yesterday, and you're only calling now? What do you think?"

Even though Bruno could sense the disappointment in his voice, he didn't know how to comfort him, finally saying after pondering, "You had no choice."

The night before the ceremony, Freddy's mother was suddenly struck with acute appendicitis, and her family hurriedly brought her to a hospital for surgery. As the only child, Freddy naturally couldn't leave.

Bruno hung up the phone and walked up the stairs.

He went back to his room and changed his clothes. When he came back down, he bumped into his mother.

"You're back?" "Yes, I'm going out again though, I have something to do." "What is it?"

"Freddy's mother was hospitalized yesterday."

Minerva had always known Freddy was Bruno's best friend, so she was a little worried when she heard that Freddy's mother was hospitalized. "What happened? No wonder Freddy didn't come to the ceremony yesterday. Are you going to visit her now?"

"Yeah, I am."

"I'll go with you."

However, Bruno stopped her, "I'm planning to ask Mashauva if she wants to tag along."

"No, I had a good night's sleep last night. Why would I need to rest?"

"What's up?"

"Bruno?" her voice rang from the other side.

With that, Bruno drove out of Ocean Villa. Looking ahead, he asked, "Why didn't you rest when you got back?"

"I'm not sleepy. Don't worry about me. I really slept well last night."

"In that case, would you like to go somewhere with me?"

"Where to?"

"The hospital."

Mashauva's face turned slightly grim, hearing that.

"Hospital? Are you sick? Or are your legs itchy from the floodwater? I told you..."

"No, none of that," Bruno interrupted her. "Relax, it's not me. We're going to visit Freddy."

"We're visiting him in the hospital? Freddy? In the hospital?"
