Omega Princess

Chapter 20

The next day we spent strategizing over when they would attack. How to defend our shared border without too much bloodshed. I couldn't take the thought of more deaths or hurting this pack that did nothing but take us in.Content from NôvelDr(a)ma.Org.

I looked up from my place on the sofa and said, "There is an easy answer. Just..."

"NO, we will not give you up," Vincent growled.

"Agreed," said Eric.

"There has to be another way," I said.

"It is best we control the when and where. I will call and reject his request. We will double our border patrol and at the first sign of the Dark Moon they will link the rest of us. Filli, you will stay here with my family. My parents are still respected warriors. Katie will be with Eric and the Browns. That way, if they get through, they will need to divide to get to either of you, allowing you to get away."

"I don't like any of it. We know they will be stopped at the border. They are not as strong, so why would they even try?" I questioned. "Alex may be weak, but he is not dumb. We are missing something."

They looked up at me. I had no clue what we were missing. I just knew we were missing something. Vincent walked over to me. "That is enough for today. We have our plan and I will call tomorrow. You may all go." He motioned towards the warriors in the room. After they all left, I looked up at Vincent. "I know something is wrong."

"Everything is wrong. I just found you and already someone wants to take you." I smiled up at him as he took the seat next to me on the couch in his study.

"Will you do me a favor?" He asked. "I need my rest and I am at my calmest with you near me. Will you stay with me tonight? All we need to do is sleep. I will take the floor if you want."

"I will stay and no need to sleep on the floor." His eyes grew dark from my willingness to share his bed. "Don't go too far you said sleep. It would be good for our nerves."

I linked Katie to let her know I was staying to work. Vincent linked the Browns to inform them. They were turning into additional sets of parents to Katie. Or maybe good grandparents. I could trust them because I believed they loved Katie as much as I did. Vincent linked an Omega to bring dinner and wine for the evening. The Omega Ashlee dropped off the food. I had met Ashlee on an outing with Diane. As she turned to leave, I said, "Ashlee, right?" she nodded. "How is your brother? I know he was sick when we stopped by last week."

Her eyes lit up in surprise as I addressed her. "You remember me?"

"Of course! I would like to get to know everyone," I said.

"But Luna, I am just an Omega." Ashlee said and looked at her hands.

"Well, Ashlee, Can I tell you a secret?" She nodded again. "I have been a Beta, Omega, human, wolf, and witch. I also think you called me Luna earlier. It is just a title, not who you are. You can be anything. If you work hard."

"Thank you, Luna." She bowed and skipped off before I could correct her.

When I turned back around, Vincent was smiling at me. "What?" I said.

"You think you would not make a good Luna? I think what you just did would make you the perfect Luna for this pack. I hope one day you will believe it too. Filli, I love you."

I didn't say it back. I couldn't yet. Something in me wanted to; maybe it was Sasha or maybe deep inside I was falling in love. Instead of responding to Vincent, I kissed him. At first, slow but soon passion took over. His hands ran over my body and soon I was lying naked on his large four-poster bed. His comforter was soft and warm. It smelled of him.

No sooner had he stripped off his clothes and he was between my legs. Kissing my inner thigh. Moving his hands around my a*s and squeezing. This made me wiggle a bit. He put a hand on my stomach to steady me. His hands were warm but rough on my skin. He held me there as his mouth took me.

After I had recovered from the ecstasy that had me seeing stars, I returned the favor. I carved the salted cherry taste of him. He was more than ready. I first took him slowly in my hands before my mouth covered his stiff member. I shifted so I could look up at him as he filled my mouth.

We continued till late in the night. "Tomorrow will come sooner than we want, and we both need rest," Vincent said. I rolled over, got out of bed to clean up and grabbed one of his shirts to wear to bed.

Before I knew it, I was drifting off to sleep wrapped in Vincent's arms. His nearness calmed me.

Like he said, morning came too soon. He was getting out of bed when I woke. "Good morning darling." He said, kissing the top of my head.

"Good morning," I replied. I got up and headed to the shower. When I got back, a new pair of leggings and my shirt was waiting for me. I looked at Vincent.

"What? I had some stuff brought over. I thought maybe after this war you could stay here. Katie can move into the room down the hall. I already have it set up for her."

"That is a wonderful offer. First let's get through today." I responded "Vincent." I responded before I closed the door to get changed. He turned. "Thank you for the offer. I will accept."

Today was the day. Vincent had made the call and we were waiting for the warriors to link. Suddenly, everyone in the room went stiff and Vincent took off shifting mid stride.

I kept my link in place for Katie and Diane would update me on the front. It had begun and Dark Moon had shown in numbers, but nothing compared to the skill of Violet Moon. Diane grasped my hand. I looked at her. She shook her head. "It is fine. We just lost our first warrior."

I could hear the howls in the distance. When there was suddenly a sharp pain and I heard Dane in my head. "I have Katie. If you come to me now, I will not hurt her."

"How are you in my head?" I pushed back.

"I have help." Dane said.

I tried to link Katie but couldn't reach her. She must have been knocked out. How did they get to her? II tried to link Eric but with no response. I pray they left him unharmed. I left the pack house and took off running towards Dark Moon territory. "You have to tell him." Sasha said. "Link him and let him know. It is the least you can do since he sacrificed his pack for us, and we are surrendering."

I did what she said. "Vincent?"

"I am here. Are you hurt? They are retreating." He sounded so happy.

"Vincent, I am sorry, but they have Katie. I must go get her. Do not come after me. They will hurt her. Also, please check on Eric. I cannot contact either of them," I said. I was about to cross into Dark Moon territory as my white wolf and was greeted by Alex and Dane in human form. "Filli, please come back. There must be another way." But there was Dane holding an unconscious Katie.

I was to be their captive. "I'm sorry. Check on the Browns and Vincent don't come for me." I said to Vincent. I closed the link and stepped across the border as his howl pierced me to my core.
