“Hehehe..” Lisa chuckled awkwardly, thinking that she should never have lied, because liars always got exposed.

Terry then turned to Serenity and greeted her, “Hello. I’m sorry this idiot dragged you into trouble today. May I ask if your business here is done? If it is, why don’t we all eat dinner together?”

“It’s fine,” Serenity politely refused, not wishing to be the third wheel, “I’m a little busy and have something else to do, so go ahead and just take Lisa to dinner.”

“Then let me drive you home,” Terry offered.

“It’s fine, I can just take the train at the station in front of the cinema. I don’t want to get stuck in traffic.”

After speaking, she then quickly said goodbye to Lisa and left.

Once she was gone, Terry folded his arms and stared at Lisa with a half–smile before saying, “It looks like you’ve got some explaining to do regarding what happened today.”

“Well,” Lisa began fumblingly, “I’ve been working really hard today, so I thought I’d just go out and have some fun with Serenity after work, that’s all.”

“Really?” he asked, his tone suggesting he clearly did not believe a word of hers.

“By the way,” she continued, wanting to change the subject, “what are you doing here?”

It was only after asking this question that she realized something even more puzzling. She recalled seeing him with Lucas Gomez back then. What was he doing with that guy?

“What do you think?” he responded with some annoyance.

If it had not been for this woman, he would never have gone to Lucas Gomez and asked him if he could get some posters and autographs from Finn Gordon, although those posters exposing Finn’s naked upper body were still unacceptable, of course.

By coincidence, Lucas had some work related reason to come to the same place Finn Gordon was going to appear for a roadshow, so Terry had tagged along as well. He never thought that he would actually bump into this little liar here.

And right now, that same little far was holding what obviously looked like rolls of posters in her hands, which only set his teeth on edge even more.

It looked like she could get what she wanted without his help at all! In fact, some of those posters might even be of Finn Gordon posing half–naked, showing off his muscular build!

Lisa blinked innocently and asked, “You didn’t come here to get Finn Gordon’s posters and autographs for me, did you?”

She had actually hit the nail on the head with one guess!

Yet for some reason, when faced with her big doe eyes, he just could not be honest and admit the truth. It was as if the words were stuck in his throat and he could find no way of blurting them out.

In her eyes, he was just a man who was bent on taking revenge. She would never believe that he would do anything so selflessly for her.

“Of course not,” he uttered, his voice turning colder than before..

‘As expected!‘ Lisa thought. She did not know why, but she started to feel slightly disappointed when she heard that. What was going on with her? What was there to be disappointed about? What was she

expecting? Terry never liked it when she got crazy about her favorite idols, so why would she ever expert him to help her with her idol–chasing pursuits?

Lisa bit her lips. Suddenly, her stomach started to grumble at the worst time ever.

Terry glanced at her and asked, “Hungry?”

“Yeah….” she replied awkwardly. She had truly exerted herself back there when she was screaming during the roadshow, and now, she realized that she was nearing exhaustion.
