Chapter 1221 The Rules In The abyss

The Rule Soul Avatar flew at his maximum speed to distance himself from the enemy. Once he had left

his pursuers behind, he hid in the void to avoid being detected.

"Where did he go?"

The frog creatures stopped and sniffed the air for traces of the Rule Soul Avatar's aura.

"He must be around here. Guard the area and make sure he doesn't escape!"

"Yes."

The frog creatures were persistent and didn't stop their search for their target. This forced the Rule

Soul Avatar to stay in the void for the next few days.

During this time, his anger and frustration intensified to the point where he felt as though he couldn't

contain his killing intent. All he wanted to do was kill the frog creatures.

"Damn it! That human should be around, but why can't we find him?" The Frog King became

increasingly impatient.

"Fetch the Blood Witcher!"

The Rule Soul Avatar didn't know what a Blood Witcher was, but his instincts led him to believe that he

was in grave danger.

Pressed for time, he knew he had to kill the frog creatures as soon as possible.

circled to the Frog King and waited for a chance to take action.

To his relief, all the frog creatures didn't notice him.

Finally, he found an opportunity.

Several streaks of powerful crimson lightning suddenly descended from the sky in unison and

bombarded the Frog King.

"Hum! Finally, you reveal yourself!"

The Frog King sensed the law attacks, but he was not afraid of them. Instead, excitement coursed

through him.

He believed that the Rule Soul Avatar, the delicious human, could no longer escape!

outstretched claws.

"You idiot! I will crush you!"

A hideous grin lit up the Frog King's face as he squeezed. Almost instantly, the sound of shattering

bones filled the silence.

At this moment, the black bead in the Rule Soul Avatar's heart spun crazily, and a majestic blade shot

out.

The sharp blade headed straight for the Frog King's stomach, which had been stretched to its limit.

Extremely pliable, the stomach of the Frog King offered no resistance as the blade sliced right through

it.

Gray smoke billowed from the wound.

"What?" The Frog King was shocked. He hadn't expected the Rule Soul Avatar to break through his

defense.

Before he could do anything, a bolt of red lightning struck his gaping, oozing wound.

Bang!

A fine red mist sprayed everywhere, and the stench of blood filled the air.

After the Frog King exploded, the rest of the frog creatures rushed at the Rule Soul Avatar as if they

were going to tear him to pieces.

The Rule Soul Avatar lashed out with his god's power of law.

Bang!

Wave after wave of god's power of law cascaded toward the frog creatures. However! They were not

hurt at all. They had just been thrown back a few feet.

The Rule Soul Avatar's eyes widened with astonishment.

He had mobilized his strongest law to attack them, but he had failed to kill the frog creatures. This

result was utterly different from what he had imagined.

"Be careful, sir. If you activate the law force several times consecutively, it will deplete your god's

power. Without any supplement to replenish your god's power, your attacks will only become weaker."

A woman's voice echoed in the Rule Soul Avatar's mind.

Hearing this, the Rule Soul Avatar suddenly realized that his god's power had not recovered after his

last attack, and his ability had weakened.

"You want to escape? You can't run from us!" The frog creatures prepared to besiege him again.

However, a purple figure suddenly appeared.

A sword condensed in her hand, and she rushed to attack the frog creatures.

In the blink of an eye, her powerful sword intent cut the frog creatures into pieces.

The Rule Soul Avatar watched as the purple figure flew forward and stretched her hand toward the

blood mist. Curiously enough, some green smoke entered her body through her palm.

"It's you!"

The Rule Soul Avatar could feel that the woman dressed in purple was the one who had cried for help

before.

"Thanks for your help, sir." The woman approached the Rule Soul Avatar and clasped her hands as

she expressed her gratitude.

The Rule Soul Avatar didn't want to exchange pleasantries, so he asked directly, "Why can't I restore

my strength? You were weak a few moments ago. How did you suddenly regain your power?"

This woman had been at the low-level of the Star God Realm when she had called for help.

But, at this moment, he could no longer detect her level. It was enough to show that she had reached

the low-level of the Celestial God Realm, at least.

Such a change confused the Rule Soul Avatar.

The woman tilted her head as she stared at the Rule Soul Avatar. His question puzzled her.

A moment later, she smiled and said, "You have recently entered the abyss, haven't you? You don't

know that you have consumed a significant amount of god's power and that you can't gain the god's

power as usual."

"If I can't obtain the god's power like I did before, how can I replenish it?" the Rule Soul Avatar

questioned.

"It's very simple. You have to kill another creature and absorb their god's power."

It was not until this moment that the Rule Soul Avatar realized that the woman's realm level was, in

fact, very high. Her god's power had been consumed before, which gave him the impression that she

was only at the low-level of the Star God Realm.

Although the Rule Soul Avatar had killed the Frog King, the woman had taken the opportunity to absorb

his power to replenish her god's power and return to her peak state.

The Rule Soul Avatar nodded as understanding coursed through him and turned to leave.

"Hey, you saved my life. You don't have to be so indifferent." The woman in purple was bewildered by

his attitude.

"Farewell." The Rule Soul Avatar paused when he heard her comment. After a brief moment of

contemplation, he uttered one word.

As his voice was still devoid of emotion, the woman stared at him helplessly.

"Hey, you can't go. Now that your god's power is exhausted, you will die if you go alone," the woman in

purple shouted at the Rule Soul Avatar.

He stopped and said, "Then what do you think I should do?"

"Ha-ha." The woman in purple smiled and said, "I owe you for saving my life. How about this? I will

protect you till the time that you regain your power."

"I didn't mean to save you. Do you still want to protect me?" the Rule Soul Avatar stated.

"Humph! I know you didn't mean to help me. But if you hadn't passed by, I would have died. Whether

you meant to or not, you did save me. Now, stop talking nonsense. Follow me. I will kill some

shameless frog creatures as soon as possible to replenish your god's power of law," the woman in

purple ordered with arms akimbo.

"Okay." Not accustomed to being ordered by a woman, the Rule Soul Avatar was at a loss for what to

The woman dressed in purple was perplexed by his attitude. The young man behaved as though she

was begging him to protect him. It was both ridiculous and annoying.

"Alas," she exclaimed with a shake of her head. "Never mind. You did save my life. By the way, my

name is Jenifer Liu. What is your name?"

The Rule Soul Avatar straightened when he heard the question. Unsure of what to say, he

contemplated for a while before answering, "Darren Chu."

"Your last name is Chu?"

The smile on Jenifer Liu's face disappeared when she heard his name.
