Chapter 1211 Crisis (Part Two)

Chapter 1211 Crisis (Part Two)

"Do you surrender, or should I continue to make you suffer?" Darren asked coldly.

"I surrender. Sir, please let me go," one of the captives pleaded. His voice trembled, and his expression

reflected the agony coursing through him. The other, however, endured silently.

"Untie him," Darren instructed as he pointed at the man who had begged for mercy.

"Yes." Wilson immediately withdrew the Soul Assimilating Bugs.

"I, Marcus Qi, swear by my soul that I will believe in..."

As for the other man, Darren wanted him to suffer a while longer.

"Did you see that, Burke? Stubbornness and continued resistance will not end your misery. Stop

fighting us." A sinister smile tugged at the corners of Wilson's lips as he sauntered up to Burke, opened

the purple box in his hand, and displayed its contents.

Burke, however, snorted and glanced at Wilson disdainfully. "So what? Do you think they can hurt me?"

Burke's response was so unexpected that the smirk disappeared from Wilson's face. "You are such a

hard-ass! Let's see how tough you are when pain saturates every inch of your being." The enraged

Wilson unleashed a Soul Assimilating Bug immediately.

Crack.

Lightning flashed, and the Soul Assimilating Bug turned into a pile of ashes!

"What!" Wilson exclaimed in astonishment. "You have a soul defense!" Now he understood why Burke

seemed unfazed when he saw the purple box.

"Well, your action has sentenced you to death."

There was a flash of excitement in Burke's eyes. A split second later, a dark gray aura rushed out of his

body and turned into a human figure in mid-air.

"Burke, did someone attack your soul just now?" The man, who had formed from the smoke, asked

Burke.

"Brother, save me. I was wrong to anger you. A Defiant Master has trapped me. He wants to kill me,"

Burke pleaded with the figure, like a whiny child.

"What! A Defiant Master? I will ask our ancestor to save you at once." The gray man, who could only

communicate with Burke, couldn't see Darren and the others. Consequently, when he heard "Defiant

Master," he assumed that their adversary was a powerful one. He wondered if their ancestor could

protect Burke from the wrath of a Defiant Master.

"There's no need to bother the ancestor. As this Defiant Master is only at the middle-level of the

Domain God Realm, you can release your avatar to deal with him."

"What?" The gray man's eyes widened with surprise.

"Jefferson, stop him from talking to the gray man," Darren, who had observed this exchange for a

while, ordered.

"Yes, sir!"

Jefferson lifted his battle axe and rushed toward the gray man.

Bang!

The moment he neared, a majestic force swept him away.

"He's powerful!" Disbelief reflected in Jefferson's and Darren's expression.

"Humph! You ants! Since my brother's soul defense protects me, you cannot hurt me. Time for you to

die!" Burke roared.

If everything went as expected, his brother's avatar would arrive in fifteen minutes. Help was not far off

as his brother's avatar could travel through space, and hence, would reach quickly. Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g

"Sir, what should we do?"

"Let's leave! Hurry up!" Darren did not hesitate to give the order. As Burke's elder brother seemed to be

very strong, he knew that they would die if they did not flee.

"Okay. I'll order my men to gather. We have to leave as soon as possible." In a flash, Jefferson sent a

message to everyone.

"Leaving already? What's the rush?"

At that moment, a young man who resembled Burke suddenly appeared.

"Davis!" When Burke saw the young man, he was delighted. "Davis, your avatar must have advanced

significantly. You arrived much faster than I expected."

"That's for sure. Now you know that it's not wise to rely on yourself solely. Sometimes you need help. I

can't believe that a few ants were able to corner you. Hurry up and come over. Let's go home together."

"Okay, okay. Thank you, Davis. I'm sorry. I won't disobey you anymore." Since Burke's brother's soul

defense had saved him from the jaws of death, he thought highly of him.

"Burke wasn't lying. You're indeed a Defiant Master. My name is Davis Xiling. Nice to meet you."

Everyone expected Davis Xiling to fight the people who had mistreated his brother. However, he

shocked them all by extending a warm greeting to Darren.

Darren was puzzled as well. He frowned and asked, "What do you mean?"

"Ha-ha-ha, don't be nervous," Davis Xiling said as he patted Darren on the shoulder. He put on a fake

smile and continued, "I'm just curious. How could there be such a weak Defiant Master in the world?

That's why I want to get to know you. Don't be afraid."

"Davis, what are you doing? Just kill them!" Burke flew over and roared. He had been excited to see his

brother. After all, Darren and his companions had threatened to torture him. He had been looking

forward to watching Davis reduce them to ashes. Fury coursed through him when he realized that his

brother was complaisant.

"I won't kill him. He is our distinguished guest. How can I kill him?" Davis Xiling glared at Burke.

"What?!" Burke's face darkened, and he continued, "Davis, they wanted to kill me. How can you be

merciful? You spared them so easily. You are doing this deliberately!"

"Shut up! Go home and get your family punishment for your actions." With a roar, a wave of god's

power hit Burke and threw him straight into a space passage, and he disappeared.

Darren was confused at the scene and wondered what Davis Xiling meant.

"Don't trust him, Darren. He must have some ulterior motive, which is why he is polite," Lindsay advised

Darren through her spiritual sense.

"I know." Battling and killing was a way of life in the Tussle Region. Darren didn't believe that Davis

Xiling just wanted to be friendly. He must have some agenda.

"Tell me. What do you want from me? We can discuss it," Darren said, frankly. He didn't feel as though

there was any need to beat around the bush.

"I like someone with a strong personality," A smile lit up Davis Xiling's face. "It's very simple.

Accompany me to our clan and be our ancestor's permanent slave."

With narrowed eyes, Darren replied coldly, "Do you think that would be possible? Even if I agree, can

your ancestor establish a master and slave bond with me? You're so naive."

Darren knew that as a Defiant Master, he was of the same class as the nine chief gods, as determined

by the Universe Laws. As such, he could not be bound by any Oath Rule.

"You shouldn't worry about that. Sometimes, you can control a slave by absolute strength. There is no

need to make an oath, right?"

"Ha-ha-ha! I will give you my answer right now. No way!" A spirited warrior, Darren would by no means

agree to become a slave, even if he were threatened with death.

"You have guts," Davis Xiling then smiled and turned to Wilson. "Come here," he ordered.

"Yes, yes." Wilson, who was still spell-bound by Davis Xiling's powerful aura, immediately ran over.

"Let me see your Soul Assimilating Bugs," Davis Xiling commanded.

With a quick nod, Wilson brought out the purple box. He moved in such a robotic manner, it appeared

as though his fear forced him to comply.

Davis used his god's power to collect the box. He opened it, looked at the Soul Assimilating Bugs

inside, and then shifted his eyes to Darren.

"Perhaps these will help change your mind."

"Do whatever you like!" Darren placed his hands behind his back and replied calmly, showing no fear.

Wilson, who stood beside, turned pale when he heard this. He felt extremely regretful for giving the

Soul Assimilating Bugs to Davis. "If you dare to use them against him, I will fight with you to death!"

As he was one of Darren's believers, Wilson's soul was loyal to Darren. So, even though he was a timid

man, Wilson would try his best to protect Darren.

"Let's attack Davis together!" Jefferson roared as a protective instinct surged within him as well.

"That's right. His realm is far higher than ours. We can attack him, but he wouldn't dare to fight back!"

This thought occurred to everyone because, in the Tussle Region, anyone who was two levels higher

than their match could not attack as the laws would suppress them.

Confident of the outcome, a warrior at the top-level of the Domain God Realm immediately flew over

and stretched his palm toward Davis.

Bang!

To his and everyone else's astonishment, the gangster was blasted into a bloody mist before he could

reach Davis.
