Chapter 1191 Scott's Situation

Chapter 1191 Scott's Situation

"Hold on. You've known another way to get past the guards this entire time?" Darren asked, looking at

Lindsay with doubt.

"No, I don't." Lindsay shook her head and continued, "I don't know other ways to get in. But I have the

token. You can just follow me."

While she answered him, she pulled Darren and they flew towards the guards dressed in black robes.

"No. Wait. You have to be joking!"

Darren's eyes grew larger as they approached the guards. He could clearly feel the guards' powerful

aura. It was so powerful that even a warrior at the Celestial God Realm would be risking their lives

being there.

"I'm not kidding. Let's go."

She flew to a guard in a black robe and handed over a rusty iron token.

The next moment, something incredible happened. When the guard saw the token in Lindsay's hand,

he bowed to her!

"Why are you still standing there? Idiot, let's go!" she shouted at Darren, gesturing aggressively for him

to follow her.

Darren shook off the shock and flew inside behind her.

"Where did you find that iron plate? Why are the guards so respectful to you?" Darren couldn't stop

looking at Lindsay like she was some alien or something.

"Iron plate? Are you stupid? That's something my father left to me. No one can stop me from entering

the Ancestral Land, except the ancestor of the Ancestral Land."

"Really? But you just used that iron plate. Does that mean your identity was exposed?"

"Oh, I forgot..." Lindsay stuck out her tongue.

"And it doesn't make any sense. You said that your father was expelled by the Ancestral Land. Doesn't

that mean that the token should have been revoked of its power?" Darren asked.

"You're so annoying sometimes. Do you think I have all the answers? Let's just go. I can't stand you

anymore." With that, Lindsay turned and ran away.

Speechless, Darren sped up and flew forward.

Ahead of them was a huge square made of green stone, where tens of thousands of disciples from the

Ancestral Land had gathered.

These disciples had practiced for at least ten years in the Ancestral Land. Some of them had practiced

for more than ten years. Since new warriors arrived every day, ten years was just a rough estimate of

time.

Darren found an empty spot on the square and landed. Straight away, he began to look for his

companions: Finley, Scott, Barnes...

But after searching for a long time, he did not find any of their auras.

"What? Where are they?" Darren felt panic rip through him. According to the rules, Finley and the

others should have attended the selection.

"Line up all of you! Get ready to welcome the emissaries from all the sects!" a loud and serious voice

called out over the whole square.

The new disciples immediately became quiet and lined up in neat rows in a short amount of time.

Obviously, these disciples had been trained in the past.

Not long after, several strong auras came down from the other side of the square. It was the emissaries

from the various sects and the regions.

"Wow! Their auras are insanely strong! If only I could be as strong as they are one day!" As they

landed, a lot of the disciples present were envious.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

One at a time, battle rings rose in the middle of the square.

Once finished, there were hundreds of battle rings, each of which was controlled by an emissary to pick

the disciples they needed.

"Now, I need everybody to relax your soul. I will send you the information for each sect and then you

can send back messages telling us the sect you want to choose."

Within seconds, a large amount of information was sent to the disciples' brains, including Darren's and

Lindsay's.

They all carefully checked the information. After all, the rest of their lives depended on this decision.

"I heard that a dragon is here, so I'm here to take him away," someone near Darren said in a low voice.

Darren immediately began to look for the source of the voice. A moment later, he saw a middle-aged

man in a white robe talking with a guard in a black robe behind some young disciples.

The word dragon had caught his attention since Scott was a part of the dragon race. He continued to

listen carefully to their conversation.

"The dragon is not here. You can go now," the guard in the black robe replied coldly.

"What? Ten years ago, I heard that a dragon had arrived at the Ancestral Land. Now you tell me he is

not here?" the middle-aged man in the white robe replied angrily.

"You need to leave right now. Otherwise, I won't spare you." The guard in the black robe lowered his

bamboo hat and his face was stone-cold.

The middle-aged man in the white robe inexplicably shivered and did not dare to speak further.

When, in fact, Darren was more nervous than he was. After hearing their conversation, Darren was

sure that something had happened to Scott. Perhaps he had already been... killed.

With the urge to do something, Darren tried to run over to the guard and ask him about Scott; however,

he planted his feet. If he were to do that, he would be arrested on the spot. Even if he was protected by

the grey bead, he would still expose his identity.

"The dragon race and the human race are allies. The dragon race isn't attached to the human race. I

hope you understand this. If your people have slaughtered the descendant of our dragon race, I'll

report this when I return home. This isn't over!" The middle-aged man in the white robe had gone silent

for a moment, but now he was furious. This content belongs to Nô/velDra/ma.Org .

The guard in the black robe rose his head, and the expression hidden under the bamboo hat had

changed.

"He's not dead, but he needs to be enslaved for 300 years. You can come back after 300 years." This

seemed to end their conversation. Darren watched the middle-aged man walk away and he felt more at

ease.

As long as Scott was alive, nothing else mattered.

During the short time when Darren had been distracted, tens of thousands of disciples on the square

had already chosen the sects they liked. As long as they passed the test, they would be able to enter

and get enough cultivation resources and protection.

However, the emissaries coming here would only select a thousand disciples from these tens of

thousands of disciples. It meant that each of the emissaries only picked two disciples. So many people

were unable to pass the examination and did not have the qualifications to obtain resources or

protection.

Those who didn't get picked were banished from the Ancestral Land and must make their own living by

themselves in the cruel outside world.

Darren scanned the area with his god's sense and found that most of them were at the middle-level of

the Primary God Realm. There was no way that those people would be chosen.

"If you move again, I have the right to kill you all!" At the edge of the square, there was an ordinary

guard standing in front of some people.

When Darren looked, his heart paused in his chest. He could see familiar faces.

Finley, Barnes, the mysterious old man, Aaron... Everyone was there except for the Rule Soul Avatar

and Scott, which was good news for Darren.

"What happened? Why is the guard holding them prisoner?" Darren already harbored a deep grudge

against the Ancestral Land, but his anger deepened when he saw his friends treated like this.

He wanted to attack the guard but he could do nothing but wait. An ordinary guard in the Ancestral

Land was strong enough to kill him. If he exposed himself too soon, it would be bad for everyone

involved.

"You guys must choose to pass the test in the Tussle Region, and then you can leave. If you fail to

pass, you have to continue to labor in the mine area to make up for your crimes," the guard ordered.

He then pointed at the battle ring of the Tussle Region, but no one moved an inch.
