Chapter 34: •Third step•

Quinn:

I stood outside the gate of Gonzalez's home in the darkness of the night, ready for my attack.

While we'd been in the woods, I'd been monitoring the progress of my attack on the priest and the

general. I'd succeed in turning them from allies to foes. But they weren't doing what I wanted.

The have been trying to bargain with each other but I was going to make it impossible. My plan had to

work. They had to pay for their sins.

I blurred into the compound of Gonzalez's home, staying in a hidden corner where the security guards

couldn't notice me. It was a pity they were about to pay for the crimes of their employer.

My eyes scanned the whole compound, counting the number of security guards I was going to take

down. They were all seven in number.

I smirked.

Let's see how good they are at their job. I thought to myself.

With that, I froze time and got to action. I whizzed past each guard, ripping out their hearts and

throwing them on the ground. Thereafter, I ripped their body parts out of the main composition, littering

the compound with them.

By the time I was done, the whole place looked like a war zone and a scene from a horror movie with

the ground painted in so much blood.

With my bloodied hands, I walked towards the front door and blurred into the house, cleaning my hands

on every white surface on the house. Thereafter, I returned outside and got a white sheet of paper from

my pants pocket.

Spreading the paper on the floor, I walked to the head of one of the guards and dipped elongated nails

into it, soaking it in blood. With my nails dripping with blood, I returned to the paper and wrote on it;

I refuse your terms of the bargain. Since you've refused to refund my money, watch out. Your family will

be next, General.

Taking the paper, I dropped it on the doorstep and unfroze everything.

I glanced around the compound in satisfaction before teleporting back to my home.

Immediately after I got home, I headed for the bathroom to take a shower and clean off the blood. Once

I was squeaky clean, I stepped out. A yawn slipped past my lips.

I went straight to the bed and fell on it but somehow, I felt empty and I knew why.

I'd gotten used to sharing my bed with the nun and her absence made it different. Copyright Nôv/el/Dra/ma.Org.

I had the urge to go check on her. Without thinking, I saw myself in her room at Graves mansion. She

was deep in sleep, still wearing my t-shirt that she'd worn.

Stepping close to her, I caressed her face and went down to peck her head. I always had the strange

urge to kiss her affectionately and I'd stopped fighting it but just did it when the urge hit me.

I stared at her once more before returning to my home. Knowing that she was okay, I got into bed and

fell into a peaceful sleep.

Chaos was cooking and soon, it would explode. I slept peacefully, knowing Gonzalez and his family will

be having a hard the next morning.

It brought immense satisfaction to me.
