My Pretty Sweetheart (Arianna)

Chapter 394

Chapter 394

I pursed my lips and changed the subject. "Are you here to discuss business?"

He looked away from the empty glass on the table and did not answer the question. Instead, he asked,

"Who did this?"

I frowned. "Are you going to beat her up, or give her a taste of what she did to me?"

He raised his eyebrows and asked, "Would you like that?"

I...

"Alright, you guys go ahead. I'll leave first. There's still something I need to do at the office!" It was

useless talking about this. He wouldn't beat Andrea up.

He grabbed my wrist. "What did she want to talk to you about?"

I felt a little vexed and impatient. "Hendrix, let's talk at home. Settle your business first!"

Breaking free from his grasp, I left the cafe.

It wasn't long before Hendrix followed me out. He put his coat on me and said, "You didn't drive here. I'll

send you back. Get changed first before heading back to the office."

I frowned and shook my head. "No, it's okay. It's all dried up. I'll leave after I've settled something at the

office."

"What do you have to do now?" He asked, slightly raising his voice. He frowned and said, "Get yourself

home, take a shower and change out of your clothes. You won't feel uncomfortable like this!"

"I'm fine!"

"Arianna!" He frowned. "We can actually get along fine, like husband and wife, but not like this!"

I frowned. Just as Minnie said, he had been working hard recently and had been handling things very

well. I could see his care and affection for me.

After a pause, I nodded and said, "Fine, take me back then."

He looked relieved and tugged at me to get into the car. As the car started, I couldn't help saying,

"Don't you want to greet Doctor Saunders and the others?"

"It's fine!" He replied and drove straight towards the direction of the villa.

When we got back to the villa, I immediately took a shower. As I came out of the bathroom, Hendrix

was making a phone call on the balcony.

The room wasn't that big, so I could hear the voice on the other end of the line. It was Andrea's.

Hendrix didn't seem too happy. He whispered, "This is between you and me. You don't need trouble

Arianna."

Andrea sounded angry. "Hendrix, what do you mean by that? Did she complain about something?"

"No!" Hendrix snapped. Hearing the shuffling behind him, he looked back at me and came in from the

balcony.

Andrea's voice on the other end of the line sounded loud and unhappy. "Then why do you think I did NôvelDrama.Org holds this content.

it?"

Hendrix did not want to talk about this with her, so he paused for a moment and said, "This is the last

straw. There won't be a next time. If it's because of your mother, you can come to me. I've done my

part and you can expect more in the future."

"Hendrix!" Andrea was furious. "My mother just wanted to protect me. Why did you do this to her?"

Hendrix frowned and looked at me, signaling me to dry my hair. I looked at him sideways and didn't

want to leave.

He smiled and looked at the phone. "I just want justice for my child. What's wrong with that?"

These words could really render others speechless.

Andrea had nothing to say to that, so she hung up the phone.

Hendrix threw his phone aside. He pulled me over to sit down before drying my hair for me.

His phone rang several times, but he didn't pick up. I couldn't stay calm anymore and said, "Go and

deal with your business!"
