My Pretty Sweetheart (Arianna)

Chapter 386

Chapter 386

The rain was getting heavier. After feeling the wind on my face for a while, I no longer felt agitated.

Once peace made its way back into my mind, I started to feel sleepy. I leaned my body against the

window and closed my eyes, ready to doze off for a while.

However, just as I was about to fall asleep, the bedroom door swung open.

Hendrix looked cold as he entered, making the whole room feel like its temperature had dropped a few

degrees.

He looked down at me, so I sat up straight, and the drowsiness that had been brewing in me was gone.

He hurried over, his voice low and deep as he asked, "Arianna, what are you doing?"

He then led me from the balcony back to the bedroom, his eyes looking terribly dark. "Am I that

disgusting to you? Do you have to torture yourself like this? Are you trying to die before your time?" Content (C) Nôv/elDra/ma.Org.

I didn't have the energy to quarrel with him. I felt like my body was void of all strength as I drifted in and

out of nausea. I looked up at him with my gaze lowered without saying anything.

My mouth and lips felt dry. I took a look around the bedroom and realized that there was no water, so I

gave up all thoughts about having a drink.

He sighed in anger seeing me like this. He then quickly helped me onto bed, closed the window, and

turned the heater in the bedroom up to the highest setting.

My clothes, which were only thin pajamas, were already wet from the rain. He found another pair,

dressed me in them, and wrapped a blanket around me.

Minnie also came into the room. When she saw how I looked, she lowered her voice and asked, "Sir, is

she alright?"

Hendrix's expression did not look too good. He said, "Go get her a cup of warm water, and then reheat

the dinner."

Minnie nodded and went downstairs.

After I laid down in bed, Hendrix lifted the blanket up.

I was stunned. I reached out quickly to hold his hands, "Hendrix, you..."

"I'm trying to apply the medicine for you!" He said, his eyes cold.

"It's alright, I'm fine," I stated, feeling some pain from my throat.

He gave me a serious look and said, "You'd better apply it yourself or let me do it. What would it be?"

I got angry and asked, "Hendrix, are you done?" I was already feeling tired, yet here he was annoying

me.

He pursed his lips and nodded. "So, I'll do it then?"

I could barely deal with the pain, and now I had to handle being annoyed as well. This greatly angered

me.

He stood up abruptly and I gave him a shove. "Hendrix, can't you stop bothering me? I'm very annoyed

now. I told you not to disturb me. Did you not hear me?"

After that, I laid back down on the bed and pulled the blanket over to cover myself.

I hadn't been like this in a long time.

I knew that it wasn't right, but I couldn't control my emotions any longer.

I thought that Hendrix would leave, so I didn't expect that he would prop me up. He was gentle when he

said, "I was wrong last night. I shouldn't have done that."

Holding me in his arms, he whispered quietly, "Quit being mad at me. When you get better, and if you

still need to vent your anger, you can hit me as hard as you want. Let's eat first, okay?"

Minnie had gotten the food ready. "Dinner is served."

Hendrix nodded and said, "You may leave."

After Minnie left, Hendrix held me in his arms. He carried me up and walked to the table.

He sat me down on his lap. As I wasn't wearing any shoes, he asked me to place my feet right on top

of his.

He looked like he was coaxing a child. "The food Minnie prepared today looks good. Here, try some."

He fed the food directly into my mouth without so much as a warning as he said, "Be good. Take a

bite!" I guess he wasn't naturally gifted at coaxing others.
