My Pretty Sweetheart (Arianna)

Chapter 378

Chapter 378

The corner of Calvin's lips bled. He then said disdainfully, "Hendrix is just a businessman, what power

does he have? At most, I'll just end up in jail for a few days."

"Damn you!" Mr. Lewis was so anxious that he was getting jumpy. "F*ck, don't you know that Charles

had made her his goddaughter and that Charles was with Arnold today?"

"What?" Calvin was shocked. "Charles's goddaughter?"

Calvin hesitated over the news for a few seconds. He then looked at me with such viciousness and

said, "Let's just kill her then!" "Oh! Are you kidding me? Don't you think that there are CCTVs in the

hotel? And you didn't even have the f*cking sense to avoid being seen. You brought a living, breathing

woman here. How do you expect to bring a body out? Do you think that everyone is stupid?"

Mr. Lewis was getting angrier and agitated. He breathed in rapidly and said, "Charles is extremely

protective of the people he loves and Hendrix can be ruthless when he wants to. Even if you have

Arnold by your side, he can't protect you or find you a way out. Also, since you're f*cking dumb, I'm

going to get into this mess as well."

Calvin looked at me and narrowed his eyes. "Arianna, I had neither provoked nor agitated you in any

way. Why did you have to make things ugly? I think I deserve to know the reason at the very least."

I leaned against the wall. I never tried to cover up the wounds that he inflicted on me, exposing them so

that it made me look relentless. "Well, one of it was because I wanted to help Kelsey but that's not the

main reason. The main reason was because all of you planned my abduction and by chance, I found

out that both of you were working for Pedro behind the scenes. What's unfortunate for you two is that I

am willing to take the slightest chance and risk it all in order to avenge the Moore family."

"You're f**king cruel!" Upon hearing my words, Calvin lost his cool and the arrogance he had.

In the beginning, I had no idea why or how Calvin could be released out of prison easily.

He wouldn't be able to pull such a manoeuvre just with the power that his family and Alford Audit held.

It was only natural that he had a man such as Arnold to be his ticket to freedom whenever things went

out of hand. Kelsey also wasn't dumb enough not to ask for help after being abused and mistreated in

such ways.

I should really thank Kelsey for letting me know that Calvin and Arnold had a deep relationship. If it

wasn't for her information, I wouldn't be able to guess that Valerie and Arnold had known each other.

Now that I recalled the time when Hendrix brought me to Pearis Manor to meet Arnold to clear

Monique's name, it was Valerie that had told Arnold to do so.

Arnold immediately did as he was told.

Calvin stared at me with a murderous look. He looked at Mr. Lewis and said, "Just kill her. That way, we Copyright Nôv/el/Dra/ma.Org.

won't be found out so easily. We can just let Mr. Moore deal with the CCTV footage and he can

manage Charles later."

Mr. Lewis was still calm despite all that was happening. Just then, a knock sounded from the door.

Taking chances at this distraction, he dashed towards Calvin, with the intention of knocking him over.

Calvin was a little big-sized but he managed to step away at the right time, avoiding Mr. Lewis. Mr.

Lewis then knocked himself against the wall. His forehead began to bleed, and he fainted.

I was surprised and couldn't help but to think that Mr. Lewis was indeed cunning.

Taking a moment to regain his senses, Calvin berated, "Michael Lewis, you're playing dirty."

Just then, a group of police officers and bodyguards rushed in, surrounding the room.

Calvin was immediately arrested by the police. Hendrix, Charles, and Aaron came into the room at the

same time.

Hendrix draped his coat over my body. His eyes looked gloomy and terrified.

The last person who entered the room was Aaron. He glared at Calvin. Then, he became aggravated

and kicked Calvin in the abdomen. "You're really crossing the line getting used to thinking that you can

do whatever you want in Ucrebury."

Calvin would have glided across the floor by Arnold's kick if not for the policemen holding him back.
