My Pretty Sweetheart (Arianna)

Chapter 360

Chapter 360

Looking at the group of people at the meeting table with different expressions, I was a little anxious.

Irvin's words were a little too straightforward.

Fantasia Company had the potential to achieve all the requirements and would definitely not end up the

way Irvin envisioned. After a long time, Sherman finally opened his mouth to speak. He looked at Irvin

and asked, "Are you sure that you will invest in the development of Al, Mr. Granger?"

Irvin nodded and said, "Yes."

The rest of the people seated at the meeting table were all investors. They didn't know much about

technology hence they didn't have much to talk about. They all looked at Sherman and waited for his

answer.

After a long pause, Sherman stood up from his seat and walked towards Irvin. He stretched out his

hand to Irvin and said, "Mr. Granger, hope that we would be able to work well."

My mind went blank for a moment before finally realizing what was happening. Did we really succeed?

Then, we proceeded to sign the contract. Both lawyers from both parties checked the contents of the

contract. Sherman said to Irvin and me, "Both of you came from Jarold City, it must've been a long trip.

Tonight we'll have a celebratory dinner at the Fortunate Restaurant, why don't the two of you come

along?" Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

It's a usual thing to have a celebratory meal after a successful business deal. This was the culture of

the business circle. If Sherman had not extended the invite first, Irvin would have done so.

There were still a few more hours before dinner. Irvin and I went back to our respective places. He went

to the hotel while I headed for the villa.

It had been a very long time since I had returned to Flora Hill. Fortunately, there was a caretaker to

assure that everything was in place. There have been many changes to the place since I've last been

there.

When I arrived at the villa, the caretaker that Hendrix hired had cooked several dishes for me. I only

had a few bites of them as I did not have much of an appetite. Then, I headed to the bedroom for a

nap.

I was feeling drowsy and tired. I woke up at the crack of dawn that day and was sleep deprived as I did

not have much sleep the previous night.

I fell into a deep sleep and vaguely felt that there was someone by my side. I thought it was just my

imagination as I had fallen into a deep sleep, but after a while, the feeling was still there. It felt a little

like sleep paralysis that I once had when I was younger.

I was so sleepy that I couldn't pry my eyes open, yet I still could faintly feel that there was a person

sitting by the bed. I felt anxious and scared at the same time but I knew that there was nothing I could

do about it.

I struggled to wake up from my nap. Beads of sweat had covered my forehead and I found that the

bedroom was empty.

It must have been because it had been a long time since I slept so deeply and that my body was

weaker than usual.

It was getting dark as I groggily headed down. The caretaker saw me and said to me, "Madam Arianna,

your phone rang a few times. I'm afraid that there might be an emergency, it's best if you take a look."

I left my bag downstairs when I came home earlier. I went looking for my phone when I heard what she

had said.

It was Irvin who called. He messaged the restaurant's address seeing that I did not return his call.

At Fortunate Restaurant

I went up to the second floor.

Everyone was already at the restaurant when I arrived. Several of the executives saw me rushing in

and said, "Director Reid, you must have been busy with work. You have to drink three shots for being

late."

I smiled and sat beside Irvin. I then drank three shots.

Everybody was just chatting casually during the meal. I sat next to Irvin and he occasionally helped fill

my bowl with different dishes.

I was already used to this gesture of his. Sherman looked and could not help but to smile, "Director

Reid, look like you and Mr. Granger have a great connection with each other. If you weren't married, I

would've thought that Mr. Granger was your husband."

Both Irvin and I froze for a moment. I lifted my head and said with a smile, "Well, we both have been

working together for a long time. Don't misunderstand our relationship. My husband, Mr. Roberts is

someone who gets jealous easily."

I said it as a joke. Upon hearing it, everybody at the table burst out laughing.
