Chapter 2388
Chapter 2388
As soon as they left, Jordan released me, slumped on the sofa, and breathed a sigh of relief.
I went upstairs after giving him a speaking glance.
"I saved your life again. Aren't you going to thank me?" Jordan's eyes were frivolous. He knew what I was doing even with his eyes closed.
Everyone else but me would thank him.
"I would really like to thank you. Without my knowledge, you buried such powerful bombs in my house. Jordan, if you had detonated them earlier, I do not need to be furious over such trivial matters!" I said scornfully while quelling my resentment.
He said he loved me, but he obviously had the intention of killing my family. I couldn't fathom this type of love.
"But I didn't," Jordan argued stubbornly. "The law has a lighter sentence for attempted crimes. I haven't done anything. Yet, you can't wait to sentence me to death."
It was simply unreasonable. "If you really did it, I wouldn't have the chance to speak at all. Jordan, you should make it clear. You wanted to kill me and my family. Do I need to remind you of the number of people that you have already murdered? It would only be fair if I killed you."
"Do it then." Jordan suddenly became discouraged and exclaimed, "I am quite happy to die in your hands."
"Lunatic." I snorted and didn't want to quarrel with him anymore. Two shots of gunfire rang out as I was about to go upstairs. I thought that Stanley's men came back. I quickly turned around and saw Hendrix's figure.Copyright Nôv/el/Dra/ma.Org.
Jordan also noticed him. They both exchanged eye contact. Hendrix looked away first and whispered to me, "Come, Arianna." He held the gun in his hand, but he didn't appear to be ferocious. He spoke very slowly, as he was worried about petrifying me.
I nodded and scurried over.
Hendrix hugged me tightly in his embrace.
It felt like a century had passed. His smell and the warmth from his hug felt so familiar. My wish was finally fulfilled.
I suddenly recalled something after
Jordan's fierce gaze pierced through me. I hurriedly let go of Hendrix and reminded him, "Hurry up and go, Jordan buried a bomb in this room!"
As I spoke, I grabbed Hendrix's hand and ran out, without even looking at Jordan.
Unexpectedly, Hendrix pulled me back, gently blinked at me his eyes, and then signaled for me to stay calm. After that, he looked at Jordan with his exquisite eyes.
Jordan stood up. He did not conceal his emotions, and every movement of his was full of hostility towards Hendrix.
"The police are already on their way. You still have five minutes to escape." Hendrix broke the silence.
It seemed like he had arranged everything. I heaved a sigh of relief.
"Escape?" Jordan's eyes darkened, and he looked indifferent. He stretched out his hands and replied, "It's meaningless to escape. Why don't we die here together? I'd be great."
Having seen how he got mad recently, I was instantly worried. I quickly tugged on Hendrix's clothes and said "Let's go. Even Stanley and his men were frightened. It's not`` shameful for us to leave now, I can't deal with any more mishaps after going through so much."
Hendrix shook his head and asked me to relax. "They just don't understand Jordan. He wouldn't do that."
