Chapter 2153

Before I waited for Aurelia's reply, I then asked, "Do the both of you have the same surname?"

As I asked this, both Daniel and Neal looked at each other but didn't utter a single word.

"Since this is such a coincidence, let's all get along then. I will be in the kitchen making breakfast, so no fighting, alright?"

Figuring that the kids would need some time to get along, I then headed back to the kitchen.

While we ate, Aurelia kept on holding onto her toy lollipop model. She refused to let go.

I joked with her and said, "That's not real. No one is going to snatch it away from you. You can get Daniel to make more for you when you get home. Come on, eat your breakfast properly."

"No," Aurelia refused as she scooped up another spoon of oatmeal into her mouth. "Neal made this, and he only made one. So, I'm not giving it to anyone. I want to bring it to school!"

I became flustered the moment I heard this. I then turned to look at Neal who was sitting in the corner.

After taking so much time, effort and even building so many other models, Daniel still couldn't beat a simple lollipop?

Aaron, who usually just observed things, interrupted, "Those other models in the living room that you don't want, could I take some and play with them?"

"No! I'm not done playing with them..." Aurelia raised her spoon threateningly. When she saw Aaron's cocky smile, she realized that he was teasing her. With a blunt face, she grumbled, "You're so mean. I don't want to talk to you anymore!"

Aaron pretended to be sad and used the table cloth to wipe his 'tears' away. "Sigh, she's growing up so fast. I'm sure plenty of people will adore her as well. I don't think she would want her uncle anymore. The man who took care of her for so many years. I'm so upset. I don't think I should stay here any more. I'll move out tomorrow." He sniffled.

The children were all stunned. Why was he crying all of a sudden during their meal time?

As for me, I wanted to see how long he could keep this act up. He was such a drama king.

Seeing as Aurelia wasn't responding to him, Aaron then exerted even more energy to blow his nose. He exaggerated his movements as he sobbed and pretended to cry.

Aurelia felt sorry for him and couldn't hold it back any longer. She then pondered about this. Still holding onto her lollipop in her hand, she then gently held Aaron's arm. "I'm sorry, uncle, don't cry. I still love you a lot. Be good. Good boys don't cry so much. You need to be brave, okay?"

As she said this, she then tried to imitate the way we would usually console her. Her small hand caressed Aaron's head.

Aaron seized this opportunity to

lower his head. Aurelia held his head

with her small body and caressed

his earlobe with her hands. "Okay, baby I'll give you a hug. Don't cry now."

Aurelia consoled him so earnestly, not knowing that this rascal, Aaron was smiling happily at us.

Hendrix, who had been quiet the entire time, could no longer stand it. He cleared his throat, hinting that it was time to stop this act. "Ahem..."

Her own father was protesting. Aurelia had never tried consoling him like this before!

Yet here was Aaron, shamelessly allowing Aurelia to console him with no intention of stopping.

Just then, a loud roar resonated from the first floor. "Aaron Reid, are you purposely putting on a show again?! Who are you doing that for?!" "I've already told you I'm not having another baby, and that's a big no at that! If you want to have a daughter, have one in your dreams!"

Her voice startled all of us. Aaron sat up straight in his seat and with some anxiety, he responded, "I'm done being petty now."

Emma glared at him as she leaned on the staircase handle. She then turned around and walked slowly back up the stairs. She had disappeared from view a moment later.

"Has Emma been in a bad mood recently?" I asked.

"She's just exhausted. It's no big deal. Hurry up and eat. She'll be fine after a little while." Aaron tried to keep calm as he ushered Aurelia back to her seat.

It was rare for Aurelia to see her aunt getting angry. She hadn't even realized that her uncle had been pretending this whole time.

As soon as Emma left, Aaron

became restless. He wiped his
