My Pretty Sweetheart (Arianna)

Chapter 2065

Chapter 2065

With a hiss, Jennifer woke up and shook her head. She reached out and touched her forehead. Seeing the blood on her palm, she frowned and struggled to get up as she tried to chase after Evan and the others.

Hendrix went around the bed, grabbed her shoulders, and pushed her onto the bed.

Due to the impact from her previous fall, Jennifer closed her eyes and fell onto the bed, mumbling. No one knew what she was saying.

"Since you've always wanted to tear lovers apart, I will do as you wish. In this lifetime, you will never see Augustus again."

"I can assure you that I will arrange for someone to take good care of him, serve him three meals a day and let him die a natural death, but you will never find him in your lifetime."

There was no harsher punishment than to torture a person's heart instead of destroying their body.

For Jennifer to learn her mistake, the only way was to let her experience the pain of separating her from the one person she loved.

For Augustus, she had destroyed my relationship with Hendrix. She went against Nathan and paid no attention to Wynn's safety. She was crazy about love. I was sure that after all this, she wouldn't be able to sleep nor eat well for the rest of her life.

Jennifer heard Hendrix with what consciousness she had left. She pleaded weakly, "Don't... Hendrix, I was wrong... Please..."

Hendrix's eyes were dark and empty of any emotion. He stood by the bed indifferently then paused for a moment before turning around to walk towards me and Wynn.

"Let's go home."

He spoke casually as though this cruel and brutal scene had never happened.

I scanned the room with a heavy gaze and raised my hand to pat Wynn's shoulder to motion him to leave.Content is property of NôvelDrama.Org.

After Wynn left, I followed behind. Hendrix followed closely behind me whereas I wasn't even bothered to turn around to look at him a second time.

After we got into the car, I asked, "Why didn't you mention that Jennifer wanted to kidnap Wynn?"

Hendrix looked straight ahead, saying, "I wanted to nip that evil intent in the bud. I didn't want you to worry, so that it wasn't too late."

It was his habit to make decisions beforehand.

Luckily, Wynn was fine. In just our lifetime, how could everything turn out as we had hoped it to be? "I hope that we can discuss and solve all our problems together. Now that everything's settled, the Reid family wasn't the same as it was before. You should change that bad habit you have of shouldering everything by yourself."

Their genes determined that male chauvinism was truly embedded in the core of men. That also led them to turning a deaf ear to their partners. Foreign scholars had mentioned that unlucky families had their own misfortunes, but happy families all shared the same similarities.

each other for the rest of their lives. They were honest, tolerant, trusting, and helpful to each other. Each of these aspects was absolutely necessary. As for the weight of marriage, if it was placed on only one party, it would be out of balance.

Hendrix curled his lips when he heard this. He leaned forward and asked, "My dear wife, aren't you embarrassing me by complaining about me in front of our son?"

I turned to look at Wynn who was sitting in his child seat, unbothered by what was going on. All he did was stare at the microcomputer in his hand, not interested in meddling with our bickering.

In the blink of an eye, I felt a hand on my back. After a momentary pause, I knocked it off mercilessly. "Hendrix, get your act together!"

Flustered, Hendrix withdrew his hand. He shrugged and began to grumble, "The love shared between parents promotes harmony in a family. Arianna, if you behave so harshly, Wynn might suffer from gamophobia."

I glared at him angrily. How dare he act so high and mighty when he had just attempted to take advantage of me?!

Just then, Wynn's voice drifted over.

"I won't."

Hendrix and I turned to look at him at the same time, only to see him in the exact same posture he was in earlier. He was in his own little world. Was I hallucinating?

Then, Wynn switched his computer

off, turned around, and said in a childish tone, "In the future, I will marry a woman as beautiful as mommy, then I'll raise a daughter as lovely as Aurelia. This is my goal. I won't change it."
