My Pretty Sweetheart (Arianna)

Chapter 2049

Chapter 2049

The less you wanted to be involved with a person, the more clearly you would distinguish your boundaries with them. Take Andrea for example. Whether it was an act of indulgence or as a form of forgiveness, Hendrix had only meant to repay her for Casper's life.

As for Hendrix and I, we were husband and wife, our fates were shared. We were destined to repeat the same mistakes over and over again and would firmly stand by each other. We would do this for each other without a moment's hesitation and would bear the cost regardless.

When it comes to true love, we both understood that any sacrifice and compromise was worth it for the right person.

Hendrix stared at me from a short distance away. It looked like he had a bottomless pit from within his eyes.

At a time like this, women were usually toughlipped. We would speak rather harshly and critically of them, but we would never actually go against them. We hoped they would understand what we meant after.

I didn't hold any blame on him and hoped that he wouldn't punish himself for Nathan's mistakes. We've been watching each other's backs for many years. We should focus on the future and not get caught up over things in the past.

After some time, the gloom on Hendrix's face slowly melted away, he soon had a smile on his face. He then reached his fingers out at me and made a cheeky gesture, "Yes, my wife."

As I looked at him, I smiled in relief.

With just a single glance, we could drop all grievances we had in our hearts. There was nothing in my life that was less than perfect after I got a husband.

I then remembered that there was another person with us. I turned around and saw Aaron with his arms crossed. He was staring at Hendrix and I with sadness in his eyes. He seemed suspicious about life.

Realizing that I was staring at him, Aaron stuck out his chin and said grumpily, "You two can continue. Don't worry about me. I'll see how far you two can take it. Perhaps I might even learn a thing or two. You think I don't have a wife?"

I could hear how angry he was inside... "When my wife arrives, I'll be sure to do all kinds of public displays of affection with her!"

I bowed my head and smiled. Instead of feeling embarrassed, I teased Aaron, "I hope that the children don't end up seeing a man who's afraid of his wife instead."

"Tsk, what are you talking about?

Who would be scared of their own wife?" Aaron replied grumpily and, then shifted the focus over to Hendrix, "Besides, I'm not some pecked husband. Someone else here is already doing a great job at that!"

It looks like Aaron would always be going head to head with Hendrix.Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

I thought that Hendrix would accept this challenge and respond to him with a few sentences. Unexpectedly, he found another way out of this. He suddenly got up and held me in his arms. The room began to spin as I wrapped my hands around his neck.

Hendrix was staring at me rather seriously. "It's rare for Aaron to take an interest in us. We should satisfy our guest's request and do our best."

"What?" I was stunned and didn't know what he meant by that.

Suddenly Hendrix bent over and gave me a quick peck on the forehead.

I felt a tingly electrical current flow through my body. I also heard Aaron calling out to us, breathlessly from afar, "Don't go too far!"

Hendrix then looked at him

disapprovingly. "There's something

and I can only help you up to this point."

Hethen carried me upstairs without looking back.

When he turned around, I could see the petrified look on Aaron's face.

By the time I realized what Hendrix had meant, We were already halfway to the bedroom. My face then blushed red.
