My Pretty Sweetheart (Arianna)

Chapter 2028

Chapter 2028

Before, Hendrix had his limits and no one could break them, not even me. He had never entertained any of my requests just like how he was to Aurelia.

Sure enough, the bond between father and daughter was a very special one.

With that in mind, I felt a little disappointed.NôvelDrama.Org owns this.

Aaron said that Josiah had been taking care of Anne the entire time and was recovering well. She even got accepted into Mesville's most well-known university because of her outstanding knowledge in Mathematics. Josiah had been through it all with her.

Although this was a great achievement, she was still very young and was very unhappy, especially since she grew up without the love and care of her family.

I couldn't take part in Aurelia's life for six whole years and looking at how things were right now, I couldn't tell when I would be able to take care of her myself. This made me feel guilty about Monique as well.

I truly hoped that Hendrix was right about Josiah having become a better person.

No one could withstand the kind of dormant vengeance he had swelling inside him for several years now.

An hour later, we finally arrived at the Golden Roof Restaurant.

Freya seemed to know that we were coming and waited for us at the door. As soon as Aurelia got off the car, she stepped forward with a smile and reached out to hug her, "Finally, I get to meet you. Let me give you a hug!"

Aurelia had made several video calls to Freya before, so she wasn't a stranger to her.

After chatting for a while, she turned around and led us in.

As we passed the hall, a waiter was walking a guest out at the same time. Freya was so busy focusing on Aurelia that she almost bumped into them. Luckily, Hendrix was quick enough to step forward and stopped the waiter who hadn't noticed this.

The waiter was scared out of his wits when he saw Hendrix. He apologized repeatedly, "I'm so sorry, Mr. Roberts and Ms. Freya. I didn't see you there. Are you both alright?"

Freya had just realized what had happened. She scolded the waiter, "Is this how the manager trains you? Do you know how serious it could have been if you offended the guests?"

This restaurant belonged to them

and there were guests waiting as well, so Freya calmed down and

said, "It's alright, go take the guests to their seats and pick some good wine for them as a token of our apology."

S

"Alright, I'll do that right away!" The waiter didn't dare look into Hendrix's eyes. He kept his head down the entire time as he turned to leave with the guests.

Hendrix stood there with a blank face. He didn't look happy or angry. He simply patted his shoulder which the waiter had knocked into earlier.

I thought Freya was done with this, but then she frowned and called for the manager.

"Transfer that staff member from earlier to the back of the house and don't allow him to serve in the front of the house anymore."

The manager obviously wouldn't go against her instructions. He quickly bowed and said, "Yes Ms. Freya, I'll arrange it right away." "Good." Freya nodded. Hendrix didn't say anything, so she considered this settled.

Only then did I realize that Hendrix

was actually very angry, he had kept quiet and waited for Freya to work out a solution. After all, the Golden Roof Restaurant did belong to the Moore family.

This punishment was an exceptionally generous one. If this happened sometime before, that waiter's fate would have been much worse.

This was the tragedy of people in

lowly positions. No matter how hard they tried or how well they completed their tasks, just one mistake and they'd be eliminated. It was just bad luck that he bumped into Hendrix, who was a stubborn perfectionist.
