My Pretty Sweetheart (Arianna)

Chapter 2020

Chapter 2020

Hendrix briefly explained his plan. Theoretically, the plan was to go deep into enemy territory, and if everything went smoothly, he could also find out the mastermind's secret hideout.

After hearing this, Aaron reluctantly dispelled his concerns, but he still looked unhappy. He stared at us with an annoyed expression on his face, as though our presence was making him uncomfortable.

"Knock, knock..." Suddenly, a maid knocked on the door.

"Come in," Aaron said coldly.

It was the maid who was standing in the hallway earlier. She had made some hot coffee and entered the room. The room was filled with its pleasingMaterial © NôvelDrama.Org.

aroma.

She greeted us politely. Then the maid turned towards Aaron and asked, "Mr. Reid, I've made the coffee just as you requested, do I leave it here or send it to your room?"

"Forget it." Aaron waved his hand and stood up. He walked towards the door and said sarcastically, "I'm going to be stuffed to death here, why bother drinking?"

He disappeared after that, leaving the maid standing there, with the tray in her hands. She didn't know what to do.

I burst out laughing and quickly explained to her, "You can take the coffee downstairs. Let him have his sleep." "Yes, Madam."

The maid turned around and left with the coffee.

After the discussion, the next thing to prepare for was the meeting at Jordan's art gallery where the exhibition was happening tomorrow. I felt a little sleepy, so I stood up and was about to head back to my room.

As soon as I stood up, Hendrix grabbed my wrist and asked, "Where are you going?"

"To sleep." I blurted out, "We're meeting that devil of a man tomorrow, and Aaron is not the only one who needs rest. After all, this was supposed to be between us. Of course, we should be ready."

Hendrix frowned and asked in a very flirty voice, "What about me?"

"What about you?" I didn't understand what he meant at first. Then I became speechless, "You..."

How could he still think of that during such a critical time!

If it wasn't for Aurelia who was already asleep, I would've let Hendrix suffer and get revenge on what had happened in the bedroom earlier.

After clearing up my thoughts, I

snorted and flashed an ugly facezat him, "You've just reminded me, the bed is much too small, sorry but you'll have to sleep in the guest room tonight."

"Good night, sweet dreams!"

After that, I left the study without looking back. I was so direct that it didn't give Hendrix a chance to respond.

The next morning.

Aurelia was making some noise and she woke me up.

The little girl had opened her eyes and noticed that her brother wasn't there. So she cried and tried to wake me up. She forced me to get up from bed while I was still half asleep.

"Aurelia, be a good girl, okay? Go and play with your brother. Let me sleep a little longer..." I yawned as I said this then fell back onto the bed before even finishing my sentence.

Aurelia still wouldn't stop whining

and continued, "No, mommy. I want you to put on some clothes for me. Aunt Emma said that you'd teach me how to put on my clothes when you got back! Mommy..."

My brain was empty and everything looked blurry. I told myself that 1 was dreaming and pretended not to have heard her.

Well, Aurelia only had her father to blame for this. Hendrix kept teasing me last night and my mind was filled with all sorts of thoughts. I couldn't sleep at all and because of that, I didn't want to wake up.
