My Pretty Sweetheart (Arianna)

Chapter 1996

Chapter 1996

"If it is Jordan, what's his goal?" Aaron asked.

It seemed that Jordan had disguised himself well and had yet to reveal himself. If I hadn't lost my memory after waking up, no one would have connected all of this with him for the rest of his life.

I shook my head with a very serious look on my face. I had no clue at all, saying, "Compared to the other members of the Marshall family, Jordan had very little evidence of even existing."

As a thought popped up in my mind, realization dawned upon me, "It's not entirely impossible. It depends on why the person doesn't want to be rich. The best way to force him to accept everything."

Never impose on others what you wouldn't want yourself. That was proper etiquette for taking care of guests. Since Jordan was the first to break the rules, we can return the favor in the same way.

Aaron was silent for a moment, then he smiled a mysterious smile and asked sheepishly, "If I'm not mistaken, you're not just targeting Jordan, are you?"

As he said this, he glanced upstairs, acting as though he was watching an entertaining show.

I hung my head down and smiled, but I didn't reply.

Just then, Evan came in from outside. After greeting us, he was about to head upstairs to see Hendrix. I called out and stopped him, "Evan, you look like you're in a hurry to find Hendrix. Is it anything urgent?"

Evan stopped at the stairs and answered respectfully, "It's business regarding the company. Mr. Roberts hadn't been to the company these past few days. Some important documents need to be reviewed by him."Content is © by NôvelDrama.Org.

While speaking, he showed the briefcase he had in his hand.

I nodded my head, not fully understanding what he was trying to say, but I stood up and walked over to him, "Wonderful. I have something to discuss with Hendrix as well. Let's go together."

Evan was puzzled, but he didn't say anything and trailed behind me.

After a short while, Aaron caught up to us.

Walking around the corner, we happened to see how things were in the study.

Wynn was seated in front of the desk and was very focused on his microcomputer. Aurelia was sitting on Hendrix's lap, allowing him to hold her. The father and daughter fixed their eyes on Wynn's computer screen. All of them were very still, but the whole thing looked very heartwarming. Children were very active after all. After a while, Aurelia noticed me and Evan standing by the door. She then called out to me, "Mommy!" As she said this, she sprung out of Hendrix's embrace and came over to hug my leg, "Mommy, Wynn is ignoring me!"

I smiled and rubbed her head to comfort her. I said, "Aurelia, you must behave. Wynn loves you, so you should love him too. When he gets down to business, don't disturb him, alright?"

Aurelia pouted. She wasn't pleased, but she still nodded obediently, "I get it, but Wynn is taking such a long time before he can play with me..."

I didn't answer her. I simply took her

back into the study. The moment I looked up, saw Hendrix's thick el eyebrows knotted into a tight frown, but that swiftly faded away. When I took a closer look at him, he seemed as calm as before.

I felt like he hated me for competing for the children's attention, but he denied it to save his pride.

Wynn then abruptly stood up and handed his microcomputer to Hendrix, saying, "Thank you, daddy. I'm done."

"Alright." Hendrix took it and casually placed it back on the table.

I checked the time and found that there were still five more minutes before his thirty minutes were up. I asked, "Wynn, isn't there a bit more time? Why don't you continue?"
