Chapter 1989
Chapter 1989
Despite all these years, I still fell into a daze when I saw Hendrix dressed this way.
It was very sweet to see them interacting so harmoniously.
Wynn first spotted me and called out, "Mommy!"
Then he ran towards me. Aurelia threw away her fairy stick and followed behind her brother, skipping up and down.
Both of them clung onto each of my legs, holding me in place.
"Mommy! Mommy!"
I smiled and gently rubbed their heads. I felt very satisfied to see them together. "Good children."
Hearing my voice, Aaron turned around and walked over. "You're back."
"Yes," I nodded and looked in the direction of the kitchen with a puzzled expression.
Aaron waved his hand, walked over to the sofa and sat down while saying, "Hendrix's cooking is getting rusty. He can't even cut vegetables properly. It'd be better to just get someone off the street. If he's like this, how can he take care of you and the kids?"
His disapproving tone made me feel both irritated and amused.
I told Aaron on WhatsApp that Hendrix had lost his memory, and I also said that he was a stay-at-home husband of mine.Copyright by Nôv/elDrama.Org.
What Aaron didn't know was that Hendrix had already seen through my lie with his sharp intelligence.
It was likely that Hendrix had already devised a means of getting revenge.
But there was still something that I didn't understand. Hendrix had still been threatening me this morning e saying that he wouldn't be stained with grease in the kitchen. But now, he had turned into a good domestic husband and did as he should. Did he really change?
But soon, I understood what was going on.
After playing with the children in the living room for a while, a large figure suddenly appeared beside us.
I turned around and saw Hendrix standing in the middle of the room with a tray.
Before I could react, he bent over
I and placed the tray on the tea table, revealing some exquisite Japanese rice balls on a plate. They were shaped like pandas, rabbits, and cherries and looked very appetizing.
As soon as Aurelia saw them, she jumped off me immediately and picked up a rabbit shaped rice ball.
The rice balls were pretty small, just enough for Aurelia to finish in two bites. When she ate the rabbit- shaped ball, she took another one and handed it to Wynn. "Brother, it's delicious. Take one."
Wynn accepted it and took a bite. They both looked at each other and smiled happily.
I smiled seeing how happy they were
together. Out of the corner of my eye, I found that Hendrix, who kept a blank face, was smiling slightly.
When I turned over, the twinkle in his
eyes seemed even more obvious.
I suddenly understood why the richest man in the city was being so humble. He wanted to curry favor with Aurelia, that little glutton. Hendrix spotted the curiosity in my eyes soon after. His smile then suddenly disappeared. He glanced at me as though to say, "Don't meddle in the affairs between me and my daughter."
I sighed and felt amused. I silently turned my face away and asked deliberately, "Aurelia, are the rice balls that your daddy made delicious?"
"Nope." Aurelia wasn't given Hendrix any leeway. She puffed out her cheeks and said, "It's not as good as the ones in my uncle's house, but my brother said I should eat more to make daddy happy."
Hendrix was speechless.
He thought, "Wynn, you really are my eldest son."
