My Pretty Sweetheart (Arianna)

Chapter 1980

Chapter 1980

Nathan slammed the newspaper on the table, "Are you rebelling?"

Hendrix glanced at me and then at Wynn. Rather than confront Nathan directly, he was completely focused on Jennifer.

As he approached her, he looked down at her coldly and asked, "Do you want to say it, or do you need my help?"

'TH tell them everything, please let me go. Hendrix, I'm sorry, I know what I've done to you." Jennifer trembled in fear, she grabbed the cushions on the sofa, trying to fend herself from him.

"I lied. The truth is, you and Serene were never engaged, but she would have provided me some benefits. Therefore, I set you up with her..."

"Evan has been with you for the longest time, Freya and you were both colleagues and close friends. Also, I was the one who had Arianna's obituary written in secret, she didn't betray you, and Aurelia is your daughter as well...."

"As for the hypnosis treatment, that was set up by our father. We sealed your past memories for your own good. Although I was at fault for this, I don't deserve to be punished with death. Please, let me go..."

With no dignity left, Jennifer crawled to her knees on the living room floor. As she cried pathetically, she clung onto Hendrix like a bereaved dog. Although I had covered Wynn's eyes, he could still hear Jennifer's desperation. Soon, a small voice whispered, "Auntie...."

I stroked his back gently and calmed him down.

Jennifer had always been pampered and was treated like a princess. Her food and clothing were of the highest quality, and she had always received attention everywhere she went.

Nevertheless, she had overlooked a truly terrifying side of Hendrix. She had no idea the kind of hatred Hendrix had grown up with.

She had brought this upon herself.

After hearing her say all of that, Hendrix squinted in Nathan's direction, his anger increasing.

His look was so sinister it was as if an evil spirit had possessed him.

"Would you care to explain?"

Nathan remained calm as he stared at his daughter's miserable situation. He even briefly looked disgusted at her as if to say, "What a shame." After a moment, he spoke languidly, "I thought you were the most qualified among your three siblings to inherit my position, but now it seems that I was simply expecting too much from you."

With that, he gave a signal to his bodyguard. The bodyguard brought up a pile of documents and laid them out on the table.

The most noticeable item on the stack was the photograph of Irvin and me, which was of a time when we were living together.

all these years, you were going to do the exact same thing, leave and betray your family for another Arianna. Look, is this woman really the one you loved or is she merely a substitute? When are you going to realize this?!"

Hendrix looked down at the documents on the table. He spoke without changing his expression, "Wasn't the only reason you saved my life was because you knew that the Marshall family can only dive in peace if I survive?"

Having said that, he paused for a moment. He picked up the photo on the table and looked at it. After that, he snorted and tossed it away, "This is none of your business. You'd better think about your own selves right now."

"You've remembered everything?" There was finally a reaction on Nathan's face.
