Chapter 1963
Chapter 1963
Cyril was on cloud nine. "Wynn, I have lots of other yummy food. There's hamburgers, fried chicken, cake....." He listed almost every unhealthy but delicious snack that existed. Wynn however, turned a deaf ear to him.
He looked at the candy in his hand with a contented smile. It was obvious that he wasn't interested in anything else. Cyril furrowed his brows, feeling emotionally exhausted.
I quickly said, "Let's not keep Freya waiting. Wynn is a very picky eater. He doesn't fancy quite a number of food items."
Cyril nodded, he understood. He then led us to the private room.
Once Freya saw us, she ran towards us excitedly. "You're finally here, darling boy. Let me hug you!"
Wynn took a step back. After glancing at me, he walked over to Freya, allowing her to hug him.
Freya grinned from ear to ear. "The Marshall family has always kept me at a distance for all these years. His father too. Now I finally get to hug him.
As she spoke, she carefully looked at Wynn, love pouring out of her eyes. She looked more like Wynn's mother than I did.
Cyril, who had been watching them, could feel jealousy rising inside him. He turned towards the other side of the room. He hoped that by not seeing it, it wasn't true.
It was very likely that Wynn still didn't know how to judge a book by its cover.
Cyril had been a trainee from a very young age. He was very attractive, but for some reason, Wynn was much closer to Freya.
Freya played with Wynn for a while, and then said to Cyril sarcastically, "Is the big star not busy today?"
Cyril ignored Freya's comment and said, "Work never ends. I don't get to see Wynn very often. Of course, I have to make time for this."
He had a cheeky look on his face as he said, "I'm not leaving. What are you going to do about it?" It was as if he was trying to provoke her. Freya rolled her eyes, turned away and continued playing with Wynn.
The doors to the private room had been closed ever since the waiter was done serving the dishes.
Freya got straight to the point.
"Hendrix has recently fallen out with his sister."
"Really?" Although Hendrix had been very angry that day at the hospital, he hadn't done anything to Jennifer. They were related by blood after all. Who knows how things will develop in the future. Content (C) Nôv/elDra/ma.Org.
"It's very likely to be true. Hendrix has dismissed Jennifer from her position in the Roberts Group. With such a big change in the company's upper management, there should be a big shift coming soon," Freya explained with a serious expression on her face.
Cyril interrupted, "Maybe Hendrix has already recovered his memory. The Marshall family has done so many terrible things. They deserve it!" I was stunned. "What do you mean?"
Freya gritted her teeth and glared at Cyril. "That's enough. Hurry up and leave. How am I supposed to run my business if your maniacal fans keep blocking the doors?"
Cyril wanted to stay, but he couldn't refuse. He had no choice but to leave.
As soon as he left, Freya took a seat beside me and asked, "Have you made any progress with Hendrix in these past few days?"
"No." I thought for a moment and added, "If I had to say, I really do want to kill him."
The corners of Freya's mouth twitched. Disappointment was written all over her face. "Do you really despise Hendrix that much?"
With my eyebrows raised, I
shrugged my shoulders. If it were her who had been taken advantage of time and time again, she might not be as calm as I was. At least | still had the mood to go out for dinner.
After thinking for a moment, I looked at Freya seriously, hoping that she would tell me the truth. "Has Hendrix ever truly loved anyone?" "What are you even saying? If he didn't love you, you wouldn't have given birth to his son." As Freya said this, she looked at Wynn's face. "He's so handsome I could cry."
I teased her, "I think Cyril's genes are pretty good as well. If the two of you have a child, they'd probably be as good looking as Wynn."
