Chapter 12 Take William to Visit Eva
When Nathan opened the door of the ward with breakfast, he found that Caleb, William, and Eva were having a meal very happily. Words failed Nathan. He looked at Caleb with a confused look.
Caleb didn’t wait for Nathan’s breakfast but ate the meal made by the cook of the hospital.
“Good morning, Mr. Livingstone.” To be polite, Eva greeted Nathan and was very grateful that he saved her from embarrassment.
“Good morning,” Nathan replied coldly, waiting for Caleb’s and William’s greetings.
However, neither of them paid any attention to Nathan.
The ward fell silent.
Nathan had no choice but to break the silence himself. “Miss Sommers, do you want to be a member of our company? You can play any role you like. And I will ask an expert agent to work with you.”
It was not typical of Nathan to be cold, so he changed his mind. If Nathan could ask Eva to work for him, Caleb and William would be nicer to Nathan in the future! Then Nathan could get William back!
“Thank you, Mr. Livingstone, but my company is not bad to me, and my current contract has not expired, so…” Eva said hesitantly.
“You don’t have to make a decision now. You can join Luxstar whenever you want,” Nathan interrupted her.
“Thank you very much, Mr. Livingstone!” Eva said sincerely.
Renee was bad to Eva. Because of Sheila, Eva didn’t get any good roles in HYJAK Entertainment, or Eva should be very popular now. But for the time being, Eva didn’t want to switch jobs. On the one hand, she did not want to pay a large amount of penalty. On the other hand, now that Sheila went into entertainment, Eva wanted to defeat Sheila on her own.
Eva was also very grateful for Nathan’s offer, although she could guess his intention.
In the afternoon, after Caleb’s assistant finished the discharge papers for William, Eva could go.
“Then see you.” Standing in front of the hospital, Eva smiled at William and Caleb in the car.
“Goodbye, Miss Sommers.” Caleb nodded lightly.
The car door closed while Eva didn’t get into the car. Seeing this, William looked at Caleb with confusion in his eyes.
Caleb explained, “Eva should go back to her home, and you need to go back to yours.”
However, as soon as Caleb finished his words, William gave a piercing cry.
“Liam, calm down. Can you listen to me? Otherwise, you won’t be allowed to see Eva anymore!” Caleb’s face darkened as he said sternly.
But William turned a deaf ear to his words and kept crying.
“Three, two…” With a solemn face, Caleb said, “One!”
William probably realized that Caleb had made up his mind, so William stopped crying at once.
Caleb frowned and looked at William. “Eva has her own life, so she can’t spend all her time with you. You must learn to control yourself. Enough is enough. Otherwise, Eva will hate you. Understand?”
William nodded, leaned quietly in Caleb’s arms, and stared out of the window in a daze.
Caleb was relieved that his words worked out!Content provided by NôvelDrama.Org.
However, as soon as arriving home, William locked himself in the room and refused to come out. He didn’t eat anything and didn’t open the door to anyone.
“William, open the door. You can tell Dad what you want, and Dad will bring it for you.” Caleb didn’t know what to do and thought it was even more difficult for him to coax William than to handle work in the company.
Nonetheless, Caleb was the only one that William trusted in this house.
Caleb said a lot outside the door, but without success. Caleb pulled his tie irritably and signaled for Nathan to get the spare key.
“William, open the door, and I’ll take you to visit Eva,” Caleb said in a low voice.
“Caleb, here is the key, but what if Liam is irritated if we forced the door open?” Nathan asked in a low voice with the key in hand.
When Caleb reached out to take the key, the door opened.
Nathan was surprised. “Caleb! The door is open! Liam walks out on his own! What did you say?”
William raised his neck and looked up at Caleb with determination in his eyes.
“Let’s go.” Caleb bent down and hugged William.
“Caleb, where are you going? What happened? ” Nathan was puzzled.
But no one explained it to him.
Caleb wore a long dark face along the way, which made the driver’s hair stand.
On the contrary, William was looking out the window happily. He was always as poker-faced as Caleb. But now, he was wearing a smile.
“Not this once!” Caleb compromised in the end.
William was only the size of Caleb’s palm when he was brought home. And now William was four years old. Caleb changed a lot and was an experienced father now. Caleb was domineering and overbearing in the company while he took good care of William at home.
The Livingstones all doted on William, especially William’s grandparents. Caleb almost did whatever it took to look after William.
Sometimes Caleb would be angry, but he always compromised in the end.
William paid no attention to Caleb’s words. He knew well how to deal with Caleb.
