Something seemed to connect in Tremaine's mind.

A few thoughts flitted across his mind, but he could not grasp them.

On the other side, Kylin continued, "As for who is pretending to be Yesseca and why she called me, I'll let you investigate it yourself."

After that, Kylin turned and left.

If Tremaine still cared about Yesseca, he would investigate it.

If not, then this matter would be considered as concluded.

Kylin didn't care who was pretending to be Yesseca.

After all, the purpose of pretending to be Yesseca was nothing more than to drive a wedge between Tremaine and Yesseca. If Tremaine himself didn't care about it, why should Kylin?

Preslie had already handed in her resignation after she left Nashaland. Sheldon kept this a secret. Hence, Merlin thought that Preslie had just been on leave.

Sheldon replied, "It will take some time."

Merlin did not think much about it.

When she left, she muttered, "I kind of miss Preslie after she's gone."

Merlin's words seemed to trigger something in Sheldon's heart.

The truth was that he missed Preslie as well.

The longer she wasn't around, the more he missed her.

Sheldon missed the times when Preslie was still around.

Every day after he left the president's office, there was hot food awaiting him. Preslie would chat with him too.

But now, such a scene would never happen again.

Sheldon had called Preslie several times hoping that she would come back, but she had rejected him.

She stated that unless Yesseca and Tremaine reconciled, she would never return to Nashaland. Sheldon felt very helpless.

He had wanted to go to Agaphen City to visit Preslie, but he had to think of a reason to do so.

When Sheldon was about to leave, he suddenly received a phone call. Tremaine asked him to drive him to Agaphen City.

Sheldon paused for a moment.

Why did he want to go to Agaphen City?

Later, Sheldon did as instructed and drove Tremaine there.

Along the way, Tremaine looked out of the window. His gaze was as dark as the sea, as though no one could guess what he was thinking about.

After driving for a while, Sheldon asked, "Your Excellency, are you going to look for Miss Cowell?"

"Yes." Tremaine replied, "Let's go to her house."

Sheldon's heart skipped a beat.

He wanted to go to Yesseca's house?

Could it be...

Sheldon didn't know what was on Tremaine's mind. He could not come to a conclusion. Thus, he just had to suppress his thoughts.

In the blink of an eye, they arrived at Yesseca's home.

However, Tremaine did not move for a long time.

Sheldon waited for a while and turned around to say, "Your Excellency."

Tremaine then answered, "Go up and tell her that I want to meet her."

Sheldon was silent.

Tremaine was about to see Yesseca and this was a good thing in Sheldon's eyes.

However, Tremaine was already downstairs. Would it not be better if he went there personally?

Sheldon opened the car door. "Yes, sir."

Sheldon went upstairs to the familiar and somewhat shabby door.

He knocked on the door.

After a while, the door opened.

Yesseca appeared in front of Sheldon.

Like Tremaine, Yesseca was much thinner, especially when she was wearing a large set of pajamas.

When she saw Sheldon, Yesseca was taken aback.

After a long while, she finally asked, "What are you doing here?"

Sheldon reported, "Miss Cowell, Your Excellency wants to see you. He is downstairs now."

Yesseca's head buzzed.

Tremaine wanted to meet her? He was already

downstairs?

"No!" Yesseca blurted out.

After saying that, Yesseca was about to close the door. Luckily, Sheldon was quick-witted enough to block it.

Sheldon persuaded, "Miss Cowell, no

matter what happened between you and Your Excellency, please come and bury the hatchet. Please meet with him."

In fact, he didn't know Tremaine's purpose. However, if he wanted Yesseca to meet him, Sheldon had to tell him in a good way.

The laughter was ironic and sad.

Tremaine had driven her out of Nashaland and forbade her from entering again. How could she let that go?

Yesseca exclaimed slowly through

gritted teeth, "Tell Tremaine that

don't care why he is looking forme. I

refuse to see him! I will nevermeet him, even if he's dead!"

Sheldon was shocked by the determination in Yesseca's words and eyes.

In such a short period of time, Yesseca actually pushed Sheldon out of her door and shut it.

"Bang!"

With a loud noise, the door closed.

Sheldon came to his senses and knocked on the door again. However, she did not open it.

Sheldon had no choice but to go downstairs.

However, as soon as he went down a few steps, he found a person standing below.

Tremaine.

He stood there straight. From a distance, he looked like a statue.

"Your Excellency," Sheldon exclaimed. He did not expect Tremaine to get out of the car.

The car headed towards Nashaland.

Sheldon secretly looked out of the rearview mirror and saw Tremaine still looking out of the window.

However, the look in his eyes was different from when he came. At this moment, there was a hint of depression in his eyes.

Sheldon's heart was beating fast.

Did Tremaine intend to come to Agaphen City to reconcile with Yesseca? This would be the first time that they met after they broke up.

Sheldon wished that Tremaine could immediately reunite with Yesseca.
