My dear lawyer

Chapter 408 Game of Words

Chapter 408 Game of Words

Having left the manor, Angie was not that happy as Vivian and Selina thought she might be. When in

her car, she started to feel angry. She was not dumb. She could definitely feel that William’s attitude

towards her had changed. He had been giving her the turnaround, being more and more indifferent to

her.

Although William helped her out this time, it didn’t mean anything. At least it was Vivian who was living

with him in the manor and they had a son together.

Thinking of these two big troubles, Angie felt raged, regretting not having hit her to death with her car

just now. Suddenly she thought of someone. That was him! She almost forgot him. She sneered, “What

a two-timer bitch! Did she really think she could fool those men?” She was sure to see her suffer one

day.

“Hello?” John answered the phone frowning. He was not in the mood and he wasn’t expecting Angie’s

call.

“I want to see you, John. I have something important for you.” Angie snickered.

“Sorry. I don’t have time for you now.” John refused directly.

Angie felt embarrassed and then she sneered, “You are looking for Vivian and Roe, aren’t you? She

moved away without telling you. Don’t you want to know where she is now?”

As expected, John was anxious about Vivian and Roe. He said, “Where are you?”

“I’ll see you in Shangyue Cafe in half an hour,” Angie said and then hung up the phone.

Angie grinned and thought of what happened today. It was inconsiderate of her that she was nearly

busted by Selina. But she wouldn’t let it happen again. With her wisdom, she would make sure that

Vivian was ruined and left Jin’an City with nothing. She would kick Vivian out of the upper class, leaving

no room for her in Jin’an.

At the thought of this, Angie felt happy as if she was already witnessing Vivian’s bitter life with her

dumb son. She was looking forward to it.

A few minutes ago, John was anxiously inquiring doctors about Vivian. Now, he calmed down, holding

his phone and started to ponder, “What a jerk, William!” An idea came to his mind.

Half an hour later, they met in Shangyue Coffee. In a quiet corner, they sat face to face. John looked

gentle yet indifferent without a smile.

“What have you been through? You have changed a lot in such a short time.” Angie was happy to see

that, because the deeper he loved Vivian, the better.

“Where are Vivian and Roe?” John asked, leaning on his back and staring at Angie indifferently. Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.

“Don’t worry, John. I’m curious about how much you know about Vivian. It’s been almost one day since

she left. And she didn’t contact you or even leave you a message. Aren’t you angry with that?” Angie

asked, raising her eyebrows. To be frank, she was quite impressed by John’s love for Vivian. If William

could treat her the same way, she wouldn’t let go of him.

John had a sip of the coffee, letting out his anger and smiled at Angie, “Listen, Angie! I don’t have time

for your craps. I know Vivian better than anyone else. She is just busy with something so she doesn’t

call me. Why should I be angry? ”

Angie was not pleased as the talk didn’t go well as she had expected.

John continued, “It’s William whom you should be worried about, not me. Why do you still not get it?

Whatever you do to hurt Vivian and Roe, it won’t do you any good, except pushing William away from

you. There will be someone else if not for Vivian. You should be working on William rather than dealing

with her.”

Angie was shocked and bewildered.

John sneered at her reaction and looked out of the window. Seeing the heavy traffic on the street, he

felt lost, which he didn’t notice either.

He turned to Angie, “You two have not been together for 4 years, which is long enough for anything to

happen. I’m a man. I know what men think. You were just his first love, which he may miss. If you lose

that very least advantage, what will you end up with? Even if Vivian leaves him, can you guarantee that

William will choose you?” John asked powerfully.

Angie clenched her fists in anger. Biting her lips, her mind started wandering. She could lie to others

that William only loved her and they were true love for each other, but she couldn’t fool herself because

she was crystal clear that there had been a wide gap between her and William. John was right.

John was drinking coffee casually. He seemed to be fine with the time passed. He felt melancholy for a

second. After all, he really didn’t want to win Vivian with the tactics that he had been using in business.

But he had to do something to stop Vivian from leaving him. He would do anything to have Vivian back

to him.

Angie knew what was best for her. It was not long before Angie suddenly raised her head, saying firmly,

“Let’s cooperate!”

John blinked, his finger stopped touching the cup, and then said directly, “I want to make sure that

Vivian and Roe are perfectly safe. Besides, I don’t want to work with an idiot.”

Angie was awkward with a long face and said indignantly, “Ok, John! I promise I won’t do anything to

Vivian and Roe during our cooperation. You can talk to me anytime if there’s any problem.”

“Are you playing Game of words with me? What’s ‘during cooperation’?” John said scornfully. Her tricks

could only work for the dumb William but not for John.

Seeing his smiling face, Angie felt scared out of nowhere. John was really something as the successor

of the He Family.
