Chapter 16

"Kiss me" I whispered under my breath and I saw him smirk then pressing his lips to mine.

My heart slammed into my chest at the touch of his lips on mine.

His arm went and set on my waist.

I wrapped my arms around his neck loosely and the kiss was soft and gentle.

Butterflies erupted my stomach.... not butterflies..... more like freaking Dragons.

He pulled me closer to him, and I was pressed up against his chest to the point where there was no

space between us.

The kiss then turned hungry and wanting.

He picked me up and I wrapped my legs around his waist and he held me up, then setting me on the

hood of his truck, and I unwrapped my legs from his waist.

His hand cupped my cheek, and his other went to the small of his back; keeping me pressed up against

him.

I slid my hands down to his chest and pressed my palms flat on his chest.

His tongue slid across my teeth, asking for entry.

Electricity shot threw me, the butterflies never left my stomach, my heart was racing and slammed into

my rib-cage.

It didn't seem like a want it became a need.

His tongue found mine and I couldn't catch my breath from the intensity of the kiss.

He pulled on my upper lip, and I caught my breath then pressing my lips back to his, and he responded

right away.

I felt him smirk against my lips.

Suddenly all the things Craig yelled and said to me vanished and I felt safe with Ryker... but I didn't

know why...

"Oh". "My". "Garden Hoses". Voices said and Ryker and I pulled apart from each other.

I know I was blushing; bad.

I looked to see everyone and they were all frozen in place.

"Haha! You owe me $20" Will said to Peter and Peter gave an angered expression then handing $20 to

Will.

"You bet on when they were going to kiss"?! Leah exclaimed.

"Yeah...." Will trailed off "Peter said in about another month, and I said right about now".

"I can't believe you two would fucking do this"! Craig screamed "After all the shit I've been threw with

trying to get you guys to realize, where this would lead to"!

Craig clutched his fist and sent a punch flying to Ryker's jaw; which he hissed in pain then rubbing his

jaw and resetting it.

Ryker threw a punch at Craig, and Craig moved making Ryker punch him with his knuckles and not his

fist.

"Shit"! Ryker hissed and grabbed his hand in pain.

"Guys get Craig home" Vince instructed, and Peter, Will, Reece, Craig walked off.

"Let's go" Vince rushed and we all piled into Ryker's truck.

Vince took Ryker's keys and got in the driver side.

Neil got in the passenger seat.

Leah, Liz, and Ryker all climbed into the back.

"Rain get in"! Neil ordered.

"It's fine, I'll just drive, and meet you guys" I said but Ryker pulled me in with his free hand and pulled

me down onto his lap.

Vince sped out of the parking lot and to the streets.

I parted my lips and Liz and Leah grinned ear to ear.

"Don't say it" I groaned.

"You and Ryker just made out, and you want us to not say anything"?! They exclaimed.

Vince and Neil laughed and found this amusing.

"We did not make out" Ryker glared at them.

"Oh really"? They questioned.

"Okay, I don't even understand Leah and Liz 'ships' but even I can tell you guys made out; that was not

some simple kiss" Vince said and narrowed his eyes at us in the rear-view mirror.

I flushed red of embarrassment and buried my face in my hands.

Ryker put his non injured hand on my thigh, and I froze.

I could feel his smirk, and he traced circles on my thigh.

"When we get home; we are so talking about this..." Liz warned.

We came to the Doyle's house, and the other cars were already here.

We all got out, and Leah fought with Vince "We should take him to the hospital"!

"No, I don't need to go to a hospital; I'm not 5"! Ryker stated rolling his eyes.

Once a Bad Boy always a Bad Boy and God forbid them getting help.

"Come on, I'll look at it" I said and we all walked in.

We all walked into the kitchen where everyone was and they were eating and talking.

"There you are"! Mrs. Doyle said and put the dish she was cleaning down.

I took Ryker's wrist.

"Rain, it's fine"! He said with annoyance in his face.

I rolled my eyes and turned his wrist a bit.

"Ow! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck"! Ryker said.

I narrowed my eyes at him "Fine, huh"?

He rolled his eyes in response.

"How can you even tell what's wrong"? Reece asked.

"I've broke my arm 14 times....I think I know.." I trailed off.

"14"?! They exclaimed.

"Yeah....mostly from punching my brothers..." I shrugged.

I looked at Ryker's hand that was swollen and I asked "Can you move your fingers"?

He moved them a bit, but not that much without it being painful.

I sighed "It's bruised..."

"You can tell that fast"?! Neil asked.

I nodded then Leah handed Ryker a ice-pack.

"How did this even happen"? Mrs. Doyle asked coming over and looking at Ryker's hand.

"Rain and Ryker kissed"! Liz blurted but shouted at the same time.

I facepalmed and Mrs. Doyle gave a shocked expression "Really"?

Ryker stayed silent and glared at Liz.

"Well...this is new..." Mrs. Doyle trailed off.

"Please! Can we not talk about this"?! I pleaded.

"Damn it, Rain"! Ryker yelled "That hurt"!

"Maybe of you'd stop moving..." I trailed off, narrowing my eyes at him.

I was wrapping Ryker's fist and wrist in a wrap other material for sprains and such.

I finished and said "There. Now try not to move your hand as much".

He didn't say anything and just stared his wrist that was wrapped.

I walked and sat down next to Liz.

Mrs. Doyle smacked Ryker over the head.

"Ow"! He flinched.

She gave him a look and placed her hands on her hips "Don't you have something to say"?

He gave her a questioning look and furrowed his brows.

"Ryker"! She scowled.

He rolled his eyes and said emotionless

"Thank you, Rain".

I rolled my eyes and turned back to the the set of books in front of me; that Mrs. Doyle claimed that I

missed.

I looked at the textbook and said "I don't know what any of this".

"I told you to go to the tutor" She narrowed her eyes at me.

"Yeah but-" I started.

"Rain, it's not worth it. Mama D is right on everything" Vince said.

I convinced Mrs. Doyle I didn't need a tutor and I'd be fine; so she cancelled it.

"Fine" I muttered under my breath, and Liz tried to help me with the work.

I was outside on the phone with my brothers.

It was pretty dark and Joel called to make sure I was okay.

I laughed at something he said.

"I mean it Rain" He said.

"Yes, okay. I promise" I stated.

I heard a door open and I looked to see Ryker walk out and lit a cigarette.

"I got to go Joel, bye" I said and hung up.

I walked up to Ryker and he had the cigarette between his lips and he blew out a puff of smoke.

I walked up to him, and he asked "Yes...."?

"If you want to inflame your lungs you might as well stick your head in the fireplace" I stated.

He scoffed "Yeah, well..."

"You're slowly killing yourself" I stated.

"God, Rain; you're such a kid" He rolled his eyes "I've been smoking since I was 14, and why stop

now"?

"So you don't die at 27" I answered.

He looked at me with his blue eyes and asked "It really means that much to you"?

I nodded slowly.

He put the cigarette out and asked sarcastically "Happy"?

"Very" I smirked.

"Good, because now your dead" He said and I gave a confused look.

He picked me up and threw me over his shoulder and walked to the back of the house where there was

a pool.

"Ryker! Put me down"! I whined and I grabbed his shirt so I wouldn't fall, and I squirmed in his grip.

He walked back and the pool to my luck; was open.

I kicked off my Converses; and I wasn't still wearing leather jacket.

Leaving me only in a white shirt and black skinny jeans.

I could feel his smug smirk.

He threw me in and I crashed into the pool and went under water.

I was at the deep end which was probably 12ft deep.

I went to the bottom and put my feet down, then pushing off the pool ground.

I realized my shirt has now became see threw and you could see my gray bra under it.

I swam up an took a gasp if breath, and saw Ryker with a smirk on his face "Is it Cold, princess"?

I flipped him off then going to the edge and placing my palms down and pushing myself up and

climbing out.

"Just a bit" I smirked walking up to him and walked my fingers on his chest and he raised an eyebrow

at me.

I looked up and my eyes bored into his.

We were on the edge of the pool.

His breath flattered on my lips; since there was only a few centimeters between us.

I stood up straighter and brushed my lips into his; then quickly pushing him in.

I laughed and smirked victoriously, and Ryker came up and shook the water out of his face..

"Fuck you Rain" He said and I laughed.

I jumped back in and Ryker grabbed me by the waist, pulling me over to him.

"That was so uncalled for" He muttered.

"You started it" I accused, and smiled, then we both became silent.

"We need to talk" He said and I nodded.

We both climbed out, and I grabbed my phone and called Liz.

"Hello"? She asked.

"Hey, come outside...and bring some towels" I trailed off.

"Okay"? She questioned and hung up.

A few moments went by; and Liz, Leah, Vince, and Reece came out.

"What the hell did you two do"?! Leah exclaimed.

"Ryker threw me in the pool"!

"Rain pushed me in the pool"! We both blurted at the same time.

"Craig, just got here and he's going to kill you both if he sees this" Reece said.

Liz handed us each a towel, and Vince and Reece said "Will make sure he doesn't Come out here"

then jogging back to the front of the house.

"Both of you; strip" Liz sighed.

My eyes widened "You want me to strip?! In front of Ryker"?!

Leah said "We need your clothes to get dry..."

Ryker pulled his shirt off and threw it to the side.

I sighed and grabbed the hem of my shirt and pulled it over my head; leaving me in a light gray bra.

Ryker took the bell off his jeans and unbuttoned them; then shrugging them off without a problem and

not seeming to care who was watching.

He was left only in boxer and I averted my eyes quickly.

"Your ovaries burst again"? Ryker whispered in my ear.

My eyes widened "You heard that"?!

He smirked "No...someone told me".

I flushed red of embarrassment, and Liz handed Ryker a towel and he wrapped a towel around his

waist loosely.

I tried to unbutton my jeans but my hands were shaking and I didn't know why.

"Shit" I muttered and Ryker grabbed my wrist and pulled me to him.

He unbuttoned my jeans and my lips parted and he unzipped then.

Then stepping back and running a hand threw his hair like it was nothing.

My heart slammed into my chest and was racing.

He must have noticed the effect on me and he smirked.

I quickly took my jeans off, and was left in black plain underwear then quickly wrapping a towel around

myself.

"Come on; Leah and Ryker you go threw the front. Rain follow me three the back" Liz instructed.

I followed her threw the back glass sliding door and the cold air hit me.

I heard Craig freaking out about something and we had to walk threw the kitchen to get up to Liz's

room; because of where we were in the house.

"Ready"? She asked.

"Not really.." I trailed off.

We walked threw the kitchen and everyone's heads whipped up and I tightened the towel around me.

"Where the hell were you?!" Craig snapped.

"I- I- I...." I stuttered.

He rubbed his temples "Where's Ryker"?

Then at the exact moment, Ryker and Leah walked and froze.

"Well this plan backfired" Neil said.

"Why are you two soaking wet"? Craig asked.

"I threw Rain into the pool, alright?!" Ryker snapped "You don't have to over analyze everything we do"!

"Ryker go, before you or Craig get into another fight".

Liz pulled me upstairs to her room, and I looked over her clean room.

She handed me black sweatpants and a black tank-top, and said "There's a bathroom over there".

I nodded and walked in and got changed into the black running sweatpants and black tank-top, then

throwing my hair up in a ponytail.

I walked downstairs hesitantly and Ryker was already downstairs; re-dressed in dry clothes.

"Alright you two" Craig said "If you don't want to listen; and keep going back to each other, FINE! But

Rain don't come crying to me when you get your heart played, and Ryker don't come to me when you

screw the fuck up"!

I pressed my lips in a thin line and looked down at the counter.

"I agree with Craig" Vince spoke up and cleared his throat "You two have the freedom to pick now;

which is what I've supported but when something wrong goes wrong between you two don't bring it to

the gang".

Why do they even think we're going to be together!? That's absurd.

"Fine"! Ryker snapped "But nothings going to fucken happen between us! It was a fucken kiss! That

didn't mean anything! So you can get the thought of anything else happening out of your heads"!

I felt a pang in my chest, and my heart felt like it's been ripped out and stomped on; to say the least,

and I didn't know why.

"Whoa, take a step back" Mrs. Doyle said "What happened? It was just a kiss"

"Rain and Ryker kissed; which is against gang rules" Craig said; making me roll my eyes.

Mrs. Doyle sighed "Yes okay; but it was just a kiss; and I knew that would happen".

"What"!? Ryker and I asked.

She put her hands on her hips and narrowed her eyes at us "Have you met you two? You're so much

alike; yet so different. It was bound to happen; and I called it the first time I ever saw you two talk".

I stared at her dumbstruck.

Ryker Anderson

"Shut up"! Leah said and threw a piece of popcorn at me which I caught in my mouth and smirked

victoriously.

Rain went to sleep; because Liz basically forced her because she had school tomorrow.

Craig seemed to calm down; since Rain and I weren't by each other, which is total bullshit.

I don't even like her!

"We should all get to bed; it's 1 a.m." Neil suggested.

We all nodded; but to be honest I wasn't tired.

"Alright, night guys" Leah and Liz said then walking upstairs to Liz's room, and the guys went down to

the basement.

I stood up and walked to the living room and Rain was sleeping on the couch. She looked so peaceful

I walked up, and knelt down on the ground. I tucked a piece of her hair behind her ear and my eyes

narrowed to her lips and I had a sudden urge to just want to kiss her again.

I averted my eyes and stood up, and grabbed a blanket then setting it over her gently.

Her blue piercing eyes flew open and she looked up at me.

"Go to sleep, Rain" I said and she nodded slightly.

I started to walk away when she grabbed my wrist and I turned around to look at her.

"Lay with me" She whispered and her blue eyes bored into mine.

I sighed and climbed over her and laid down with my back to the couch. She turned on her side to face

me and nuzzled her head into the crook of my neck, and I draped an arm over her waist and pulled the

cover over both of us.

She played with my fingers and watched carefully at how her delicate fingers laced with mine.

"Goodnight Rain" I whispered.

"Goodnight Ryker" She whispered back.

She closed her eyes shut and went back to sleep.

"Rain"! I teased.

"What"? She snapped, and I whirled her around to look at me.

"I love you" I said, and she smirked "I know".

I scoffed "Cocky, much"?

"I've learned from the best" She chuckled and smiled showing her pearly white straight teeth.

Her smile was beautiful, I could look at it all day. But then again she was beautiful. So it's only right a

beautiful smile goes to a beautiful girl.

"I love you too" She said and pecked my lips, and I wrapped my arms around her waist.

I pressed my lips to her soft lips, and picked her up from the ground and she set her hands on my

shoulders and I laid her down on her bed.

"Ryker" She broke the kiss "We can't tonight. My brothers are home".

I rolled my eyes and said sarcastically "Yes, because you've never heard your brothers have sex".

She looked down sheepishly, then looking back up and saying "I'm not my brothers".

"Well I hope not" I teased "Because I'm not gay, and I don't want to give you up".

She threw her head back and laughed, and I smiled. I pulled her into my lap and she laced her fingers

threw mine.

"I'm coming in, so you better be fully clothed" Joel said as he came in with his hand over his eyes.

"You're fine" Rain said and rolled her eyes. Joel took his hand away from his eyes and acknowledged

"Ryker".

"Joel" I acknowledged.

Jax, Ryan, and Joel still hate me; and Mr. Thompson wants me dead and uses anything I do wrong

against me.

Dinners with the Thompson's are not pleasing...but I do it for Rain because she wants her brothers to

like me and eventually her dad.

"Dad called and said to make sure you had your homework done or you're grounded" Joel narrowed

his eyes at her.

She nodded "Alright".

"Did you do it"? He asked.

"Yes" She lied. I can tell when she lies....she always bites her lip afterwards; and she did.

"No you didn't" I whispered into her ear and she smacked my chest.

"Rain Eliza"! Joel scowled.

"Alight! I'll get it done; Mrs. Doyle won't care anyways" She rolled her eyes and Joel walked out, and

shut the door but left it a crack open.

Rain turned back to me and went to press her lips to mine but I moved my head and she frowned.

"Homework, now" I demanded.

"Why"? She whined like a 5 year-old, but it was cute.

"Because you need to graduate, so you can move out of here" I narrowed my eyes at her. After Rain

graduates shes going to move in with Liz for awhile in her apartment, then with me after her first

semester of college.

"I still have a month" She stated.

"Rain Eliza, homework now" I said stern.

"Yes Dad" She rolled her eyes and said sarcastically, and went to get out of my lap.

I grabbed her wrist quickly before she got out of my lap and I smirked "I believe the correct term is

daddy".

"Oh my God, Ryker! You're disgusting"! She scoffed and smacked my chest.

I pecked her lips and chuckled "Love you".

"I love you too" She smiled.

My eyes flung open to the sound of giggling and I looked to see Liz and Leah.

What the hell was that dream about?!

I rubbed my eyes and realized Rain was still asleep, and the guys all came down and froze in shock.

Rain had her head on my chest and my arms were wrapped around her.

Craig came down and shook his head in disgrace "So you are going to take this path...you're going to

break her Ryker..."

I rolled my eyes "I'll explain later, okay"?

Mrs. Doyle came down and she was dressed up for work and stopped and froze "Ryker! Rain is one of

my students"!

"Oh my God" I groaned "It's not what it looks like".

"Whatever you say" Vince said and everyone went to the kitchen besides Liz and Leah who stared and

grinned.

I turned to Rain and said in a soft voice "Rain, wake up".

She mumbled something in her sleep, and I couldn't really make out what it was.

I shifted so more of her weight was on me, and I caressed her cheek with the ends of my fingertips and

she opened her eyes slowly then jumping up, and almost falling of the couch but I caught her quickly by

her wrist.

Her cheeks flushed red, and she looked down sheepishly.

"Morning princess" I smirked and she bit her lip.

God Rain, don't do bite your lip like that; or it turns me on!

Leah asked "Sleep well"? then winking at Rain.

Rain stood up and ran a hand threw her hair, and grabbed her phone.

"Come on, you can borrow my old uniform" Liz said and pulled her upstairs.

I stood up and quickly folded the blanket and put it back on the couch.

"So...." Leah trailed off "Anything happen last night"?

"No Leah" I narrowed my eyes at her "Nothing happened, and nothing ever will".

"Whatever you say" She said in a sing-song voice and walked into the kitchen.
