Mummy, Daddy is on his knees

Olivia looked around her supposed room which Damien showed her a while ago, she walked to the peach colored curtains and swiped it open..

The room was brightened even more, the sweet and soft scent of roses reached her nose, which was obviously from the vase sitting next to the large window..

She turned around taking in the nice view of the room, from the interiors to the furnitures, one could easily tell that it was just replaced with new ones..

Her eyes fell on the large double king sized bed covered in peach sheets to match up the curtains..

Suddenly a strange image flashed past her mind just by staring at the bed, it was an image of her sharing a passionate kiss with Damien in a drunken state..

Her eyes grew larger as the seconds ticked by, did that really happen between them that day or was it just a dream she had forgotten?

A knock came at her closed door pulling her out of her wandering thought..

The knob turned and it was opened to reveal Damien..

Seeing him after what just crossed her mind made her heart skip a beat or two..

“I hope you like it? I had every furniture changed to suite your taste”

Olivia cleared her throat forcing a smile, she pretended to look around the room which was just an excuse to avoid looking at him in the face..

“Uh.. yeah absolutely, I love it” she declared..

“I’ll go check up on Kelvin.. are you coming with me?”

She gave a nod following behind him, Kelvin’s room wasn’t far away from her’s, it was adjacent to her’s and a few steps away..

Damien pushed the door open and stepped in after Olivia..

Bianca handed the pan to Xander who for some reasons wanted to impress her with his cooking skills which she doubted..

He was on a sky blue apron which complimented his eyes a lot..

The doorbell rang multiple times in a span of five seconds, whoever it was, was definitely in a hurry..

Which was too bad because she wasn’t really expecting anyone apart from the guy in her kitchen..

“I’ll be back”

Xander gave her a nod and watched her back moving to the door..

He resumed chopping the lettuce with a smile on his face..

“Hi Bianca”

The deep male voice at the door was enough to pique Xander’s attention..

He had a faint crease on his brows as Jonah came into the living room, their eyes met for a few seconds..

“I didn’t know that you had a guest.. wait a minute! isn’t that Xander Gray?” he whispered..

“Yeah he is”

A faint gasp escaped his lips, that was crazy..

“You and Olivia have no idea how lucky you guys are to be able to attract these powerful men to yourself” His lowered voice came again..

Xander had no idea of what they were whispering about and he didn’t want to know, all he was concerned about the most was the little or no distance between them..

“I guess”

“Yeah.. before I forget, I’m here for Kiara I forgot to give her her medications, she complained of a stomach ache last night”

Bianca looked around the apartment, Kiara? she hadn’t seen Kiara today, she recalled how the latter was so upset when she learnt of Kelvin and Olivia’s weekend plans at Damien’s plan..

This was the first plan she wasn’t included in and it must have made her feel bad…

“Kiara didn’t show up today”

“What? then where else could she be?”

Olivia and Damien stood in a daze at the door staring at Kelvin and by his side, a familiar brown box with its lid opened where a small figure sat in..

“Kiara?” Olivia’s eyes rounded in shock, wasn’t that the same box he said contained all his toys?

Kiara and Kelvin giggled hard at their shocked expressions..

Few minutes later.

“Mummy I just couldn’t leave her all alone.. she’s my best friend” Kelvin said in his defense..

Kiara was really upset last night and he came up with the cute plan which ended quite well until his parents showed up..

The plan was to hide her up in his room until the weekend ends and when they were leaving he’d smuggle her back out..

Damien chuckled which made Olivia turn to him with a frown..

“You find this funny? do you realize what he has done? Jonah must be so worried searching around for her…”

Her phone rang out, taking it out of her purse, Bianca’s name flashed on her screen..

“Hi Bianca something just-

“Kiara is with you isn’t she?”

She was surprised at the right guess from Bianca, she owed Jonah a reasonable explanation for her son’s cute yet awful behavior..

“Don’t worry… we’ll send her back in a few minutes”

“But I don’t want her to go mummy, daddy doesn’t mind right daddy?” Kelvin blinked his eyes at Damien..

Olivia’s eyes narrowed down at the smarty pants trying to make Damien fall for his cute trap, she failed to understand how he does that..

“He’s not going to fall for that.. we are sending her back home”

“I don’t mind her staying.. that if it’s okay with her dad”

Olivia took a step away from the two kids who were squealing in joy..

“Umm.. are you sure Jonah? you don’t have to feel intimidated by him”

Jonah laughed out at the other end, it was true that he was intimidated but that wasn’t entirely the case, he’d finally have the chance to spend some quality time with Penelope who happened to be Kiara and Kelvin’s teacher..

“I’m serious.. with you and Kelvin around her, I’m sure she wouldn’t miss me for a second”

They spoke with each other for a few more minutes before the call was disconnected..

She turned back to the three who were busy whispering amongst themselves, the fact that Damien was being playful with the kids brought a smile to her face..

“Yay!!! we’ll go play!!” Kelvin shrieked out bolting out of the room alongside Kiara..

Damien rose up to his feet with a sigh “has he always been this energetic?”

Olivia cleared her throat, what does he think? that Kelvin was more energetic in his presence than her’s?

“Well he’s more energetic at our home.. I’m surprised he’s not even doing some crazy stuff” she lied itching the nape of her neck..

“Okay.. he got my spirit, I was so playful just like him back when I was still around his age”

“That explains everything”

Aldrin approached Anita with a fallen expression on his face..

He had tried so hard in the last hours to strike up a conversation with her, but like always, she was playing hard to get..

“Honey, I’m truly sorry.. I had no idea that the ring belonged to Bruce, if I had known believe me I wouldn’t have given it to you”

Anita paid a deaf ear to his pleas, she brushed her hair gently with the hair brush while seating before the mirror..

Her hand stopped brushing her hair as she turned to him..

“Is that all?”

Aldrin was left confused by what she meant, she stood up from the stool and approached him in feather steps..

“Come on Anita.. I’m sorry”

“Oh no you don’t.. you really have no idea of how to appease an angry lady, firstly you forgot about our anniversary, then you gave me Bruce’s ring as an anniversary gift and now you’re apologizing to me without flowers! I see you don’t love me so much anymore”

She declared and walked past him heading to the door..

He was left further confused, they’ve been together for so many years, and he always got to see a new drama of her’s he had never seen before, but funny enough, her constant drama’s was the thing he loved about her..

He can’t be bored with her by his side..

But how hard was it to please a woman? especially if that woman happened to be Anita Sterling, his wife?

The door closed pulling him out of his thoughts, he sighed taking a seat on the bed..

“Aldrin I’m still standing out here!”

He jerked up to his feet staring at the closed door, of course, he had almost forgotten how much she loved it whenever he chased her around especially when she was mad at him for something..
