Mr President, We Meet Again!

Chapter 27 - Didn’t He Tell You?

Chapter 27 - Didn’t He Tell You?

The ride to the hospital that was supposed to take thirty minutes, only took fifteen minutes!

As soon as the Black Rolls Royce car pulled over at the front of the hospital’s entrance, a team of senior doctors and nurses immediately rushed forward.

They had been notified by Wang Shen Ze earlier and were already on standby since ten minutes ago.

“President Wang!...”

“President Wang...”

Each of them greeted him as they helped Lin Wen Xin onto the stretcher and quickly pushed her into the emergency room.

Meanwhile, Wang Shen Ze sat outside the room as he clasped his hands and silently prayed that Lin Wen Xin would be fine.

Yue He Hospital is known to be the best private hospital in the country which is owned by DT holdings.

It has two separate buildings in the same compound - one of it is serving the general public while the other is exclusively for the Wang Family.

After the lead doctor had finished assessing Lin Wen Xin’s condition, he came out of the room and Wang Shen Ze immediately stood up.

“How is she?” He asked worriedly, even before the doctor could report anything to him.

The lead doctor has been working with the family for more than twenty years and this is the first time he has actually seen this side of Wang Shen Ze.

He is usually very apathetic and it is indeed rare to see him panicking today.

“President Wang, Madam is suffering from a mild concussion but she is fine and should be awake within the next twenty four hours.”

Wang Shen Ze heaved a sigh of relief and instantly returned to his indifferent self.

The lead doctor bowed his head and no longer dared to meet his eyes as he sensed the complete change in Wang Shen Ze’s aura.

...

The next morning, Lin Wen Xin opened her eyes and found herself in an unfamiliar environment. Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org exclusive © material.

White ceiling... smell of antiseptic... IV drip...

Is she at the hospital??

“You are awake?”

Lin Wen Xin turned her head slightly and saw Wang Shen Ze sitting elegantly on the sofa.

He put the newspaper away and walked towards her bedside table.

Wang Shen Ze then poured a cup of water and handed it over to Lin Wen Xin.

“Thank you President Wang.”

The lead doctor was quickly alerted to come in to the ward as soon as the button in the room was pressed on.

The team of medical staffs followed behind him and observed attentively as the lead doctor checked on Lin Wen Xin.

He also asked her a couple of questions before concluding his report to Wang Shen Ze.

“President Wang, Madam may continue to experience intense headache every now and then. I would suggest for her to stay in the hospital for a few more days so we could continue with the observation.”

“Grrr...” Lin Wen Xin’s stomach suddenly growled in the middle of their conversation.

Oh no! How embarrassing!!

She quickly pressed on to her tummy and tilted her head downwards as she shut her eyes tightly.

Wang Shen Ze stared at Lin Wen Xin and found her actions to be really silly.

Does she always solve her problems by hiding and pretending that nothing has happened?

He gave a low chuckle as he turned to the team and ordered them, “Bring the breakfast in.”

“Yes President Wang.” The team bowed to him respectfully before exiting the ward.

Lin Wen Xin obviously heard what he had said. She slowly opened her eyes and waited in anticipation.

In a few minutes, many dishes were being brought in and placed on the table in front of her.

Meat congee, steamed stuffed buns, rice noodles, soup, dumplings...

Despite the food being prepared in a healthier manner, they were all still her favourite!

Wow! Are breakfast in the hospitals served like this nowadays??

It is even comparable to the room service’s breakfast at five star hotels!

This portion of food is really more than enough for one person.

Even though the food is right in front of her, Lin Wen Xin did not dare to pick up her utensils and start eating first.

Especially when there is a pair of sharp eyes staring straight at her.

“Why are you not eating?”

Lin Wen Xin was slightly startled by Wang Shen Ze’s sudden question.

“Erm... that... Do you want to have some too?” Lin Wen Xin took a pair of chopsticks and passed it to him.

“No need.”

“Oh... Okay then I’ll start eating first...” She smiled and embarrassedly withdrew her hand and chopsticks that were left in midair.

...

The next few days at the hospital passed in a blink of an eye.

Because the lead doctor said that she needed plenty of rest, her schedule at the hospital was tightly controlled by Wang Shen Ze.

All she did was to eat and sleep. She was not even allowed to use her phone for more than thirty minutes a day.

How boring!

Since Wang Shen Ze had to be at the office to work, the nurses rotated amongst themselves and stayed with Lin Wen Xin during the day.

She did not mention to anyone about her hospitalisation as she did not want to worry them, especially her father.

It was soon the day of her discharge.

Finally, the long awaited time has come!

Lin Wen Xin packed her bag as she pondered, “This is strange... Why hasn’t Yu Zheng reply to any of my texts?”

She had sent him a couple of texts over the last few days but he has not responded to any of them.

He is usually not like this!

Lin Wen Xin could not help but worry that something might have happened to him.

She took out her phone and Yu Meng was quickly connected, “Wen Xin, what’s the matter?”

“Yu Meng, do you know what happened to Yu Zheng?”

“Yu Zheng?? What do you mean?” Xiao Yu Meng asked in a confused tone.

Lin Wen Xin added, “I tried to contact him but he didn’t reply me. I wanted to ask if he is okay because the other day...”

Xiao Yu Meng suddenly thought of something and interrupted, “Oh! He has already left the country a few days ago. Didn’t he tell you?”
