Chapter 93
Chapter 93
When the cold voice suddenly sounded, Yoel’s body stiffened.
Was it Joshua’s voice….
The smile on his face had not yet had time to fade, and he heard Joshua speak again.
“Having a good time watching TV?”
Joshua strode over, increasing the pressure in the room.
Yoel and Cynthia both looked at him at the same time.
Yoel almost instantly stood up and gulped, stuttering, “M–Mr. Neal…”
Why did Joshua come here?!
Cynthia glanced at him and continued watching, completely unaffected by him.
However, this person just came in directly and probably guessed her password, so she should find time to change it.
“Is the apology statement written?” Joshua’s rage was burning inside.
Yoel looked at Cynthia. In truth, he did not know if Cynthia had written it or not. After all, she had been upstairs all afternoon.
“What’s the rush? It’ll be posted sooner or later,” Cynthia answered casually.
“I want to see it by tomorrow night.” Joshua did not know why she could still be so indifferent. “If you don’t post it, you’ll bear the consequences.”
“You’re so annoying! I can’t even watch TV in peace,” Cynthia retorted mercilessly.
After speaking, she brought her water upstairs.
Yoel and Joshua were speechless. Both were stunned and never expected Cynthia to get angry suddenly.
Yoel pursed his lips and tentatively said, “Mr. Neal, don’t worry, I’ll work overtime later to write one. Then, if Ms. Yates hasn’t written it by tomorrow, I’ll send her the one I wrote.”
Joshua stared at him without responding.
Yoel felt his scalp tingling from Joshua’s glare. Then, he wiped his face and asked in confusion, “What’s the matter?”
He had washed his face after dinner, so nothing should be on his face.
“It’s late. Why haven’t you gone back to eat yet?” Joshua’s gaze darkened slightly, with a hint of coldness on his face.
“I’ve already eaten,” Yoel answered. He was too engrossed in watching variety shows and forgot to be professional. “Ms. Yates ordered my food with hers at six o’clock, and we ate together.”
Joshua’s gaze became icy. He had not eaten with Cynthia for so long, while this guy was having a good time here.
Yoel was slow to notice Joshua’s emotion. “Haven’t you eaten yet?”
“Go and clean the company’s toilets.” Joshua did not answer his question.
“Seriously?” Yoel asked.
“Do you think I’m joking with you?”
“What about Ms. Yates…” All text © NôvelD(r)a'ma.Org.
“I’ll watch her myself.” Joshua’s thin lips pressed together, emphasizing the word ‘myself‘.
Yoel suddenly realized where Joshua’s coldness came from. “Okay, I’ll go to the company now.”
As soon as he finished speaking, he left.
Of course, as someone here to freeload, he was still very conscientious about taking out the trash.
As the door closed, Joshua looked around the room.
Had he not come tonight, would Cynthia have planned to let Yoel stay overnight here?
He did not greet Cynthia and went upstairs to her room, knocking on the door.
Cynthia thought it was Yoel and opened the door as she did not think Joshua would stay. She thought he was only here to supervise Yoel’s progress.
After all, the effects of urging someone in person and through a phone call were different.
