Chapter 23: I Can Get off by Myself

Maisy smiled at Melissa, preparing to wash the vegetables, "Melissa, I'm fine. I'm here to help you. By

the way, I can learn cooking from you."

After hearing Maisy say this, Melissa didn’t refuse her help.

After the food was ready, just when Maisy helped Melissa to put the food on the long marble dining

Especially Alex, his face was cold as if covered with a layer of frost. He looked at Maisy sharply,

wishing to swallow her alive.

Noticing his sharp eyes, Maisy frowned. She just pretended not to see it.

Arthur's gaze fell on Maisy's face. He saw that her fair face was red and swollen. Five-fingerprints were

clearly visible on it, which was obviously a slap.

He took Maisy to sit down at the table and asked, "Maisy, what's the matter with your face? Who

slapped you?"

Maisy looked at Arthur with a smile, "Grandpa, I'm fine. Let's eat first!"

Arthur looked at her with distressed and said, "Maisy, Grandpa holds 60% of the shares. I’m going to

give you 15% share."

When Jennifer heard this, she immediately said grouchily, "Dad, she has been married to Alex for a

year. But she hasn't had a child. How can she qualify for this 15% share?”

"Shut up!" Before Jennifer finished speaking, Arthur interrupted her angrily. Looking at Alex angrily, he

said, "If I still don’t have the great-grandson, just get out of HOSS Group. "

Jennifer glanced at Maisy in disgust, and then said, "Dad, what does Maisy’s physical problem and not

getting pregnant have to do with Alex? It’s too unfair to Alex."

Hearing Jennifer's words, Maisy clenched the chopsticks in her hand tightly. She looked up and met

Austin's deep eyes. She suddenly felt embarrassed, and immediately lowered her head. He should be

The meal was depressing. When the meal was almost finished, Melissa served everyone a bowl of

chicken soup.

After eating, Maisy was forced to get into Alex's Bentley under Arthur's watch.

Leaving Hussain Mansion, Maisy noticed that Alex's face was abnormally red.

He stopped the car abruptly, breathing quickly.

Upon seeing this, Maisy narrowed her eyes, thinking that he suddenly stopped just in order to drive her

out of the car. So she said in a cold voice, "I don't need you to drive me away. I can get off by myself."

After saying that, she was about to push the door open and get out of the car. But her slender wrist was

caught by Alex. He dragged her into his arms. He lowered his head to kiss her pink lips and suck her

lips fiercely.

Maisy was startled by his behavior. Then she pushed him away, struggling hard, "Alex, what are you

doing? Have you lost your mind?"

Alex's eyes stained with lust stared at her angrily. He said sarcastically, "Lost my mind? Maisy, don’t

you know what I’m doing? You put some drug in chicken soup, right? You can’t wait to have sex with

me? You’re so mean."

"Drug?" Maisy looked at him in disbelief. She said with a cold voice, "Alex, enough. When did I put the

drug? Don’t talk bullshit. I said I’m no interested in a man who can be used by everyone."
