“Rex, what are you doing here?”

Hazel let out a huge sigh of relief as soon as she heard the voice of Axel. His voice made her know that Rex was not going to be having a good look at her wolf side anymore.

She was that confident in him as she tried to calm her wolf side down so she could shift back into human.

“What am I doing here? In the home of my woman?” Rex questioned.

“I think you already saw it that she already shifted. Hazel is my mate, my own woman so you stay off her, keep your hands off her because I will definitely not be joking around with my woman.” Axel replied.

“What are you hiding?” Rex asked.

“What do you mean by that?”

“Hazel not wanting me to see her wolf side, you are hiding something, right?” Rex asked and Axel chuckled.

“Seeing her wolf side or not is not a big deal, I and my mate would decide when to show her wolf side to the world!”

“Fine! Fine!” Rex raised his hands in surrender and stepped away from the door.

Axel moved closer to the door, the more Rex moved away.

Rex’s fisted his hands in anger, his face contorting into a look of anger at his brother’s words.

He growled lowly but turned away and walked off.

When he was gone, Axel opened the door of the kitchen and rushed into the kitchen where Hazel had shifted back into human.

She was lying on the kitchen floor, naked in her human form.

Axel walked up to her and tried carrying her in his arms but she rolled away from his reach and got up herself.

“I do not need your help” she whispered and walked out of the kitchen.

Axel sighed and walked after her.

“Why are you here? You should leave” Hazel added.

“You always look cute when you are angry at me but you have been angry at me for days now and so this does not seem that cute anymore”

“I am glad it does not seem cute because it is not meant to look cute. And you need to tell me why I need to hide my wolf side from the others.” She demanded and Axel walked even closer to her.

“Do not come closer to me. Just stay over there and tell me about it” she stopped him but his stop was only for a second because the next second, he was walking towards her again and had scooped her into his arms.

She kicked in his arms, wanting to get out of his grip but she could not.

He carried her all the way back into her room and dropped her on the couch.

“You look so tired and thin, you have not been eating, right?” Axel questioned, sitting on the edge of the bed.

She, however gave him no response and looked away from him.

“Just leave my home. What are you here for?”

Axel got up from the edge of the bed and sat beside her.

“You really are not going to let go of that incident? I really did not even fuck her yet and….”

“I only have one question” she cut him off.

“Clarissa told me she used a potion on you, is that true? And you’d better not lie to me” She warned.

Axel bit on his lower lip.

“I see that she told you the truth already. I was just going to take the blame so that you do not hate her that much” he mumbled.

“So it is true?” She drawled her words and Axel bobbed his head in a positive response.

“That’s the truth, pretty head. There is no way I would get into bed with Clarissa under a clear head.”

Tears that could not be deciphered filled her eyes. Tears of sadness or tears of joy? She could not tell. Perhaps it was tears of relief.

She raised her hands and slapped at his chest.

“Were you out of your mind? Taking the blame?? You are insane, aren’t you?!” She yelled at him.

“Yeah, I am insane, for you”

“That day, I found it weird that she was wearing blue heels cause I knew you would never wear blue heels but she told me it was a new liking and…”

His lips met with hers, cutting off her ramblings. Hazel froze for seconds as his warm lips smooched against her own lips.

The next second, she was making attempts to push him off her but this time, it was not because she was angry at him.

If he had done what he did under the influence of a potion, then it was not his fault.

She tore her lips off his lips and pulled away from him.

“I… I have not brushed yet” she mumbled and Axel let out a chuckle.

“Do I look like I care about that, pretty head?” He drawed closer to her and this time, there was no sort of resistance from him.

His lips reached for hers once more and as soon as their lips touched, he pulled in for a deep, wet kiss.

Axel grabbed Hazel by the waist and in a few seconds, he had maneuvered her to sit on his thighs with her arms wrapped around his neck.

Their tongues danced in each other’s mouth for a few seconds before he pulled back to her lips, biting gently on the lower lip while his fingers caressed her face gently.

He sucked on her lips while she sucked on his own lips, each of them enjoying the moment that they were sharing with each other.

Axel eventually pulled away from the kiss, his hands now resting on the curves of her waist.

Their foreheads were still pressed together as they stared into each other’s eyes.

“Ready to take back those words of rejection?” Axel asked with a smirk.

“No” she pulled away from him.

“Not yet. At least not until you tell me what is wrong with my wolf side”

Axel feared hurting her by telling her the truth. He had to continue hiding it for now.

“Then, you would have to wait a little bit more.”

“And yeah, pretty head, I will be away, I am travelling” he got up from the couch and approached her.

“Traveling?” Her brows pulled together.

They had just settled their differences and he was traveling??

“Yes. I will be away for…”

“You are going to leave for more years?”

Axel let out a chuckle before throwing his head backwards and doing his usual tap on her forehead.

“Only a few days. You seemed so happy when I was going away six years ago but you look so sad now. What’s changed? I guess your love for me”

“You wish” she poked his chest lightly.

Axel grabbed her hand that she had poked him with.

“Braver everyday, ugh?”

“Your birthday is in a week. I will be back before your birthday”

He closed in on her and kissed on her forehead. Hazel felt her heart flutter lovingly, the way he remembered every single detail about her made her heart race and she genuinely hoped that things would be like this forever.

She hoped that he would be like this with her forever, not being that childhood bully that she could not stand but being this adult sweetheart that made her heart flutter.

He leaned in and closer to her and before Hazel could guess what was going on, he had licked on her earlobe.

She bit on her lips to hold back the moan as he kissed on her neck, trailing soft kisses down from her neck to her shoulders.

Her arms subconsciously wrapped around his body as he nuzzled his face in her shoulder, making use of his lips, his tongue and brushing his nose gently against her skin.

He returned to her ear and kissed on it, giving it a small bite and made her body shudder.

The way her body responded to even the slightest touches of him was way beyond what she could ever understand.

Her hands went up to his head, holding him in place as she held him to her body. He kissed her from her ears to her face and then reached for her slightly parted lips, their lips met and intertwined in a kiss of passion.

Only a few seconds of kissing had passed when she felt his fingers graze her clothed v. Her body shuddered as his fingers brushed her through the material of her clothes.

Hazel pressed her body closer to him, hoping that this would not end abruptly but just as if he had heard her thoughts, he suddenly pulled away with a smirk on his lips.

Yeah, he was being a bully again.

“We will continue with this when I am back, sexy head” his husky voice increased the itch for him in between her legs. And the fact that he had not called her pretty head but sexy head made her feel wet.

He had hardly done anything to her and she was already wet for him.

She opened her mouth to tell him to stay back and spend the entire day with her, doing things to her body, she wanted to tell him that he was free to do whatever to her body and that she did not want to have to wait until her birthday but she could not say the words.
