Mated To My Alpha Brother

Chapter 32

Chapter thirty two

Everyone in the building rushed out. The soldiers around shifted immediately into their wolf forms and fought against the rogues. The soldiers at the northwest gate were alerted immediately also.

There were nosies everywhere as half of the pack members ran around in fear while the other half fought, even though they weren’t prepared. Jabi held Axel’s hand tightly as they ran into one of the empty classes and refused to let go.

“Jabi, it’s a war. I need to fight.” He protested.

“You’re going nowhere Axel. You barely just recovered. I can’t let you loose.” She objected firmly.

“That would be unmanly of me. I’m not a coward and I will never be.”

“No one says you are! Let’s just hide here, no one will notice.” She offered.

Axel grabbed her hands. “I know you’re worried. Trust me, I’ll be fine. I promise you, I’ll come back. Safely.” He said softly, staring into her brown eyes.

No magnitude of words could hold him back. He looked determined.

She was hesitant to let him go, but he ran out of the class after assuring her.Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.

Jabi turned around and looked out the window space. The window was now broken due to Mia’s screams. It was still unclear to everyone though, even to her friends. Those powers were strange to them. She must be a really special wolf. Jabi concluded. Judging by how long it took before she met her wolf and the powers she exhibited earlier.

It was becoming messy in the pack. Blood were splattered on the floor. Dead wolf bodies and all. Seemed the diamonds were having the upper hand. She sighed and muttered a silent prayer for the war to end soon.

Marlin and Shane guarded Mia on both sides, protectively. They pressed in as much as they could. After getting to a point, they stopped and Marlin looked around for anybody. When he was sure there was no one, he motioned to Shane and Mia to continue going. “I’ll join you guys later.”

Shane took Mia to an abandoned and a supposed haunted building. Mia protested. “Why are we heading there? It’s a haunted house.”

Shane ignored her protest and just ordered her to come with him. Mia then decided to trust him. After all, he was her brother’s beta. There was no way he would betray them.

She suddenly halted in her steps. The thought of Lian struck her mind. Shane noticed the abrupt halt and stopped too. “What’s the issue? Mia, there is no time to play stubborn, you are in danger.”

“What of Lian? Where is he?” She enquired, impatiently.

Shane sighed. “I’ll tell you all very soon. Let’s get in first.”

They walked into the two storey building and walked into the kitchen. Shane moved a cabinet and then lifted the big tile under it. Mia gasped in astonishment. There was a way down.

The walked down a wooden staircase into the basement room. She became more astounded when she got a hold of what the basement looked like. It looked modern and all. With blue and black furnitures, blue plastered walls. There were electronic sets, to her surprise and part of the room was cut out for a kitchen space. There were standing air conditioners but there were no windows or sorts.

Who could ever imagine such a room was below an haunted house?

She turned to Shane, demanding an explanation.

“It’s a place I and the others came up with. In case of situations like this.”

“Why did it have to be an haunted house?”

“It’s not true. The whole haunting stuff was made up also, to scare people away from this building. So, you are safe here. There is nothing to worry about.” He explained.

Mia didn’t find it hard to believe. She chose to believe him. What was the point in lying to her?

She diverted to the most important issue at the moment. With worried and curious eyes, she inquired. “Where is Lian?”

Shane hesitated. “Give me an answer Shane, where-is-Lian?” She asked again, trying to keep herself in control. Shane made up his mind to tell her. He looked straight into her eyes and broke it to her. “He’s at the rogues’ custody.”

Mia’s jaw dropped. “What!”

“Yes.” A voice said. Marlin walked down into the room. “Lian has been captured by Giovanni. And that’s why we need your help.” He added.

Shane abruptly turned to Marlin and shot lasers at him.

‘You don’t plan on telling her, do you?’ He mind linked.

‘That’s the only possible way to win this fight. Get a grip Shane!’ Marlin retorted.

Mia lost her balance and fell on the sofa. Everything felt surreal to her and she couldn’t bring herself to buy the fact that her strong wall was at the palm of his enemies and perhaps at the brink of death. It wasn’t like Giovanni captured Lian to wine and dine with him.

Tears flowed down her cheeks when the thought of never getting to see him again struck her mind. None of the two men stopped her from crying. After she was done crying her eyes out, Marlin asked. “Are you okay with that?”

She didn’t have the energy to speak and just nodded gently and helplessly.

“Then I guess it’s our turn to speak.” A long silent minute passed. “Mia, I need you to brace yourself and accept what I’m going to tell you.” He stated in a cold, warning tone that shook her a little. She wondered what it was this time.

“You’re the only one that can possibly win this battle for the Diamonds pack.”

Mia sat up, looking perplexed. “What are you talking about?” Her voice came out hoarse.

Shane sighed. It was the upteenth time he had sighed that hour. “Mia,” he called softly in a low tone. He was scared for the lass. No one could predict her reaction to the news.

Impatiently, Mia urged him to continue. He let out a sigh again.

“You’re our Luna.”
