Chapter 10 Defeated Again

"Candice, I think you should apologize to her. Think about it. Jeffrey is a noble man. Although you may

not be able to see him, he knew what you thought. Maybe you two still had a chance."

Tears welled up in Candice's eyes, and her shoulders trembled. She did know that Jeffrey was angry

with her that night, and she didn't take it to heart. But what Riley said reminded her.
