Marry Ex’s Uncle After Divorcement By Jacqueline Chapter 468
It was winter and Theresa didn’t have that much to do after marrying Charlie, so she had been. sleeping in a lot lately. Sometimes the Calsis family even had to take the children to school. She went to the gym and ran on the treadmill for a while. She hadn’t slept well last night. She thought it was because she had been so idle lately and that exercise would help her relax and C0ntent © 2024 (N/ô)velDrama.Org.
calm down.
Leticia walked over. “Theresa.”
Theresa slowed down the treadmill, wiped the sweat off her face, and looked over at her. “Mom.”
“Dad is going to the hospital today for a checkup. Robert, Charlie, and I all have things to do. Will you go with him?” It was clear that she had made Theresa a member of the family and had begun to give her tasks.
Theresa nodded. “Sure.”
Leticia sighed. “I’m so worried about him. He was so angry and upset that he fell ill when Charlie
had his accident. It would be great if he could get better!”
Theresa reassured her, “Grandpa will get better. Don’t worry. I’ll go with him to the hospital.”
Charlie’s legs were getting better and she didn’t need to give him acupuncture every day. She was free today.
Leticia smiled with relief. “Thank you.”
Theresa nodded. “It’s the least I can do.”
When Theresa came back from the gym, Charlie was sitting by the window on the phone with
his laptop in front of him. She glanced at him and went to the bathroom to take a shower.
Charlie had finished his call when she came out. “Why are you up so early?”
Theresa wiped the water off her hair. “I haven’t exercised in too long so I went to the gym.”
Charlie offered, “Bring me next time.”
Theresa looked over at him. “Okay.” She dried her hair, went to the cloakroom to change, and sat down on the couch. “Mom asked me to go with Grandpa to the hospital for a checkup.”
“Thank you.” Charlie handed her a glass of water.
Theresa took it. “No problem.”
Charlie stared at her with a smile. He even thought she was glowing. “I have a meeting in the
morning. We can have lunch together if it goes well.”
“Don’t bother. It’s the end of the year. You must have a lot to deal with. Are you having your
annual meeting this year?” Theresa asked.
“Yes.” Calsis’s Group was involved in many industries besides film and real estate. Charlie had been invited by all the branches to attend their annual meetings. He had been very busy lately.
“Go ahead. Winter break is coming up. I’ll spend time with Leonard and Ben.”
Charlie nodded. “You’re so sweet.” He was touched that she was being so nice to his children.
Under his grateful gaze, Theresa wanted to tell him the truth, but she didn’t say anything in the end. She had hidden the secret for too long. It was difficult for her to confess to him.
After breakfast at home, Theresa accompanied Old Mr. Calsis to the hospital. Roderick was in
charge of the hospital and came to see them.
Theresa and Roderick stood outside while Old Mr. Calsis was being examined.
“Have you told Charlie about the children?”
“Not yet.”
“When are you going to tell him?” Roderick turned to look at Theresa.
