Marry Ex’s Uncle After Divorcement By Jacqueline Chapter 432
Chapter 432
Charlie sincerely wanted Jimmy to die. ‘Why didn’t I kill Jimmy just now?’ He thought.
Even Theresa thought the state Charlie was in now was scary, but she was not scared of him, she was worried instead. ‘Was he really going to kill Jimmy because of me?’ She wondered. If she had not stopped him earlier in the washroom, she had no doubts he would do exactly that. Theresa placed her hand on Charlie’s face, caressed it and said, “I thought I’ll never see you
again.” Although the whole thing only lasted a few minutes, she thought about a lot of things. Like seeing her entire life flashing in front of her, a lot of images appeared in her mind. At that instant, the person she thought about most was surprising this man, Charlie Calsis, the man who was giving her all his care and concern right now.
Charlie said with a deep voice, “If that’s the case, I would kill Jimmy and then come to be with
you.”
Theresa chuckled.
The finger marks from Jimmy grabbing her neck were still visible, and Theresa’s throat was
hurting when she spoke too, but when she looked at this man she still wanted to laugh for some
reason.
Charlie spent most of his life in a wheelchair, now he just had to do some rehabilitation. exercises and he would finally be able to lead a normal life. One could say Charlie’s life had just begun. Yet, he wanted to become a murderer for a woman like her. Theresa felt this man was. completely insane.
Charlie looked at her and said, “What are you laughing about?”
‘Why is she laughing? Does she not know how worried I am? Charlie thought.
“I didn’t think you’d be so worried for me,” Theresa said.
Charlie glared at her and said, “Nonsense.”
Theresa said, “Charlie, hug me, will you?” Her voice was soft, almost sounding like begging.
For reasons unknown to even herself, Theresa longed to be in Charlie’s arms, as if she would feel
better that way.
With the same cold expression, Charlie looked at her, moved over and hugged her.
She took off her coat when she got in the car and was covered in a blanket. Charlie held her in
his arms and asked, “Scared?”
“No, I’m just cold, Theresa replied. Charlie did not reply and hugged her tighter. In Charlie’s arms,
Theresa could vividly see his face, feel his heartbeat, and hear his breathing. This content © Nôv/elDr(a)m/a.Org.
She felt safe.
Both of them did not speak till they arrived at the Calsis’. Charlie opened the car door and got
out.
With a blanket covering her, Theresa followed. She did not let Charlie carry her but held his hand instead. Charlie looked at her and asked, “Don’t want me to carry you?”
Still worried, Theresa looked at him and said, “Your legs… are they okay?” Though Charlie could finally stand up, he was still in rehabilitation, yet he carried her today! She was worried it would
hinder his recovery.
“They’re fine,” Charlie responded.
“You’re always so careless.” Theresa glanced at him. She disliked how little concern Charlie had for himself. After all, she spent so much effort to help him stand up, what if something were to
happen to his legs because he was so careless all the time?
“Alright, I’ll be careful,” Charlie said.
He originally planned to rest a few more days, but what that scumbag Jimmy did today was
intolerable.
Theresa followed him inside the house. Leticia Calsis was sitting on the sofa calling someone. At first, she did not bother much with who walked in, but when she saw it was Theresa and a
man, she gave it another look to see who the man was.
To her complete shock, it was Charlie.
