Chapter 815 Rose’s Apology
Both Theresa and Leticia were at home. Brenda led Rose into the room.
Since she had stayed up all night, Rose looked lethargic. She said, “Good morning, Grandma Leticia.”
Leticia said, “Take your seat.”
Rose walked to the side and sat down. Since she was close to Theresa, she looked at her and said, “Hello, Mrs. Calsis.”
Theresa took a look at Rose and said, “I have divorced Charlie. So you don’t need to address me as ‘Mrs. Calsis.’ Just call me by my name.”
Rose nodded. “Okay.”
Leticia’s eyes rested on Rose, and she said, “I heard that Jimmy had committed suicide. What is the matter?”
Rose said, “Don’t worry. He has been out of danger. And the people of the Watson family are concerned about him.” Copyright Nôv/el/Dra/ma.Org.
“Have you been staying by him in the hospital till now?” Leticia looked at Rose in surprise.
Rose explained, “His parents were busy taking care of him all night, and I had to attend to him after they left.”
“Stay away from him,” Leticia said, “Rose, have you never found that you were fooled by the people of the Watson family? When you returned home yesterday, you promised me you would part with Jimmy. Why did you come to see him again?”
Rose said helplessly, “But I haven’t divorced him yet. Now that his life is threatened, I can’t bear to leave him unattended.”
“Jimmy was sure that you couldn’t make up your mind to leave him. So he pretended to commit suicide to arouse your pity for him,” Leticia heaved a sigh. “You are too innocent to see him through. If he intended to kill himself, he would leave no room for rescue.”
Rose knew Leticia had a strong bias against Jimmy. She believed in Jimmy’s confession that she had seen with her own eyes and spoke for him, “Grandma Leticia, don’t talk like this. Jimmy has indeed made many mistakes before, but he reflected on himself this time.”
“Reflection?” Leticia asked with disapproval.
Rose looked at Theresa, who sat at her side and didn’t join their conversation, saying, “Theresa, I have known about the truth. Jimmy has failed you and made you suffer. I was cheated by him into condemning you, and I am sorry for that.”
Seeing Rose apologize to Theresa in person sincerely, Leticia was relieved.
Theresa looked at Rose and said, “It’s not your fault. And I didn’t take it to heart.”
The first time Theresa had seen Rose, she knew Rose was kind by nature. After all, Rose had spoken for her before Jimmy. But she fell into his trap step by step and misunderstood Theresa.
Rose said, “I talked with Jimmy after listening to the recording you sent me. He was guilty of the wrongs he had done. Before I left, he said that if he died, he wished I could pass on his apology to you. He pleaded for your forgiveness and could only make up for your sufferings by death.” She was careful about what she said.
