MARRIED TO THE HIDDEN BILLIONAIRE

Hailey’s smile turned to a frown the moment Mason made that statement. Agnes immediately added her mouth.

“Hailey, your friend in elementary school, the both of you built a playhouse together, here’s a picture of you two when you first played on it” Agnes opened a picture and passed it to him.

Mason stretched his hands and Agnes thought he wanted to take it but he took a spoon and dished some soup for himself, startling both Agnes and Hailey.

“Aunt Agnes, you said elementary school so I don’t remember. I don’t have a long memory capacity” he spoke without sparing Hailey any glance.

“Too bad you don’t remember her, you two were so close that you almost joked about marrying her,” Maya muttered.

Skyler frowned to herself, she wasn’t feeling the appetite to eat anymore. What was Maya trying to do with all these?

“Mom, stop saying all these in front of Skyler. Mason is married and he doesn’t remember Hailey anymore” Ivy rolled her eyes.

Hailey frowned at Ivy behind her back.

“Yes mom, I’m married so get that before trying to do anything” Mason repeated what Ivy said while giving Maya an ‘am I clear look’ and Grandpa Mario secretly smiled.

Just what he had expected.

The atmosphere in the dinning was a bit tensed and Ivy decided break it a little.

“So my company is launching an opening party for my movie and I want you all to be there as a family” she announced.

“Will there be cake?” Carson asked.

“Plenty of cakes,” Ivy smiled.

“And I can invite my friends?” He asked again.

“If they dress well and don’t embarrass you then yeah” Ivy nodded.

“Expect me then” Carson bumped fist with her.

“You know I will never miss any occasion from any of you so expect me there” Grandpa Mario smiled at her.

“Thank you Grandpa” Ivy was really happy that her grandpa would be there.

“Why wouldn’t I be there to support you” Maya said and Ivy smiled even more.

“I would like to be there,” Skyler said.

“Me too” Hailey and Agnes said at the same time and Skyler twitched her lips a little.

Everybody agreed to come except for Mason and Rosa.

“Since everyone is going then I guess I will come” Rosa rolled her eyes and Ivy eyes went to Mason.

She was waiting for him to say something but it didn’t say anything which made her a little sad.

After dinner, Hailey and Agnes left and some people went to sleep including Mason and Skyler.

Skyler was laying and looking at the ceiling when Mason came out of the bathroom and came to join her. She changed her position and hugged his waist, resting her head on his chest.

Mason also hugged her waist and kissed her forehead.

“Mason.. Ivy really wanted to see you at her launch party” she said softly.

“I might be busy tomorrow night,” he replied.

“But she’s your sister and she really wants to see you there” Skyler pouted.

When Mason didn’t reply to her, she pushed herself up and climbed his body, straddling him.

“Tell me I will see you at Ivy’s launch party!” She suddenly turned serious.

“If I say you won’t?” He asked with a smirk.

“Then I will strangle you!” She replied and brought her two hands to strangle his neck.

“You know I love where this is going?” He smirked and pushed himself up to kiss her neck but she pushed him back.

“I’m serious here Mason, please for me, can you just attend your sister’s party. You don’t have to be too cold with your family members” she said seriously.

Mason stared at her face for a while before sighing.

“Fine, I will think about coming”

Skyler smiled widely, he said he will think about coming which was a positive feedback for her. Ivy would be really happy to see her brother there.

“I better start looking for matching clothes for the both of us” she wanted to stand up but Mason didn’t let her.

“I love it when you’re close to me like this, stay” he pulled her to lay on his chest.

After a while of silence, Skyler slowly looked at his face, his eyes were closed and she pressed her lips together.

“You want to say something?” He asked without opening his eyes. Though he had his eyes closed, he could feel that she was staring at him.

“Do you really not remember Hailey?” She slowly asked.

“Why are you asking?” A slow smirk formed on his face.

“I’m just asking, you know her mom said you two were really close, you built a playhouse with her and you joked about marrying her. Your mom even likes her” Skyler blabbered with jealousy evident in her voice.

A laughter sound came from Mason’s lips and Skyler immediately raised herself to look at his face.

“Are.. you laughing?” She squeezed her face.

“I..”

“I get it, it’s funny to you right? I’m going to bed” she pushed herself away from his body and lay down, facing another side.

Mason smiled and hugged her from behind.

“You know I don’t have eyes for another woman that is not you. I might have said some dumb things in my past which I didn’t remember but I don’t care now, I only want you in my life right now” he whispered in her ears but she didn’t say anything.

“I’m really serious Skyler, you don’t know how happy I get each time I see your face or think about you. I bless the way I met you because if I hadn’t then how would I ever be this happy for the first time in my life?” He was talking to her and asking himself at the same time.

“Are you trying to say that I make you happy?” She asked, trying to hide her smile.

“Yes, do I make you happy too?” He asked and she turned to face him then hugged his face tightly with a wide smile.

Mason hugged her tighter to himself and kissed her forehead again.

“Mason” Skyler called in a soft voice, it sounded like she was feeling sleepy already.
