Chapter 3722

- Kathryn stayed quiet for a moment, then said, "He should stay longer after going back home. Liberty, tell my cousin to give me a few days, and I'll vacate the mansion so you can move in. I still stand by what I said before."

Liberty didn't respond right away. She sipped her coffee calmly. After finishing half the cup, she set it down and looked at Kathryn, who met her gaze. They stared at each

other for a full two minutes before Liberty finally spoke, her tone light. "Don't rush. Let's deal with it after the New Year. My aunt hasn't made any decisions yet."

Kathryn also set down her coffee cup. "It still needs to be cleared out, and someone will have to clean it. Even if you don't move in right away, it's better for it to be empty and free of my mother's presence so it doesn't feel too strange to you.”

The Farrell family mansion wasn't exactly private property; it was meant for the head of the family and their relatives to live in. But since the family leaders had always been from the same direct line, there was no need to move out when a new head took over.

So, even though the mansion wasn't technically private property, it had always functioned that way for the family leaders and their descendants. Outsiders, unless married in, weren't allowed to live there.Content is property of NôvelDrama.Org.

"Let's celebrate the New Year first," Liberty softened her voice. "The New Year is almost here."

"I have somewhere to live," Kathryn replied, understanding that Liberty didn't want her to be without a home for the holidays.

Smiling, she added, "You know, before I came back, I built a successful business. I have my own company, a villa, a house, cars, money-I don't lack anything."

In the past, she felt she was missing a partner, but now that she had Pedro, she felt content.

"I never felt at home in that mansion anyway. I'd rather move back to my villa. That's where I feel comfortable and at ease, with no pressure."

Liberty didn't argue. She let Kathryn

choose where she wanted to live. After all, Audrey was the one managing the Farrell family mansion now, and no one else was allowed in except Kathryn. Holden and his sons had already been kicked out by Clarissa and were staying at the eldest son's house.

"How's your dad?" Liberty asked suddenly.

"He's not going to die," Kathryn replied, with a hint of sarcasm. "He's just like my mom said always trying to control me. But I'm not someone who can be controlled."

Kathryn laughed bitterly. She had no real feelings for her father, and even if she did, she wouldn't let him control her.

"We all believe in you," Liberty said reassuringly.

Kathryn was touched. "Thank you, Liberty. When are you planning to take over the Farrell Group? If you need me to stay and help lead, just let me know. I've been here for two or three years and have some experience."

Toward the end, Kathryn had gained control, and when Clarissa wasn't around, she was the one running the company.

Liberty sipped her coffee slowly. She

knew Kathryn had managed the Farrell Group well. But Kathryn was still Clarissa's daughter, and even though Kathryn was a good person, her presence made the family members uneasy.

Kathryn had always said she wouldn't take anything that wasn't hers, but what was hers, no one could take away.

After a long pause, Liberty said, “Let's discuss it after the New Year. Right now, I need to focus on my personal life before worrying about the company."
