Chapter 56 Caleb's Wrath

Thinking of Morgan's attitude, Sheila returned to her room in anger.

She perceived a subtle change in Morgan's reaction today. He used to value her above anything else.

She gritted her teeth. The thought that he might want to bring Eva back to the Sommers family was

crawling under Sheila's skin.

Her insecurity didn't come out of nowhere, though. After all, she was adopted, and Eva was his

biological daughter. Everything she had now should have belonged to Eva. But Sheila wouldn't just

hand it over without putting up a fight. She trembled at the thought of being sent back to that poor

village.

The was one sleepless night.

The next day, Sheila was in a bad mood after being turned down couple of times. It happened that her

agent Renee went in to discuss something with her. So, Sheila took it all out on Renee.

Renee hated to be the doormat, but could not afford to resent it.

In the entertainment industry, there were countless celebrities with a big temper. Sheila was definitely

one of them, but she always pretended to be innocent and kind.

"Do I pay you for nothing? Can you just do one thing right?"

Why did everybody come to sabotage my business and not Eva's! Sheila's eyes were green with envy.

"Please don't be mad. I'll hire more trolls. It'll work." Renee just got back from talking to Bonnie, whose

imperious attitude filled her with pent-up anger. "Do you remember that company I told you about? It's a

little over our budget."

"If they can handle this mess, give them whatever they want."

Sheila couldn't think of anything. All she knew was that she just appeased Brody, so there was no way

she could trouble him again. Plus, the evidence against her was overwhelming. If she couldn't find

anything to refute that, people wouldn't be convinced. Hence, she gave Renee's proposal a green light.

Renee called the company and instructed them on the phone the minute she walked out of the room.

The strength of this company specializing in selling trolls was not to be sniffed at. As long as the hirer

could pay, they could do anything.

Bonnie was on her laptop finishing her work when a piece of news popped up on the window that read

"inside scoop of the injury on set". After reading the news article, she was utterly exasperated.

The article claimed that the recording was done when Eva was seducing Simon Brew, and that she

bought off those people to testify against Sheila at the press briefing. It basically averred that Eva was

a liar and a hypocrite.

The article was vicious and came with pictures. Bonnie sensed that there was something wrong with it

and immediately notified the public relation department of Luxstar.

They intercepted the news and kept the damage it could have done to a minimum.

Because of this, Luke Pearce grew skeptical towards Renee and started look into this person. He dug

out all the horrible things she had done to Eva.

At the CEO's office, Lumenstone.

Caleb was leafing through a pile of files. The more he read about it, the more infuriated he was. When

he got to the part where Renee made Eva take the role of a homewrecker in a show and even asked

Eva to entertain a client, the paper crumpled in his hand.

It was Renee who had been sabotaging Eva's career.

"I want Renee Morin to disappear from this industry," solemnly, Caleb ordered Luke, who was standing

upright in front of the desk.

"Yes, Mr. Livingstone."

"Get to it now."

Luke nodded to Caleb and walked out of the office quietly.

"Eva was already signed by Luxstar, and this Renee Morin is still trying to plot against Eva. What a

dummy. Mr. Livingstone won't let her off that easily." Luke thought, shaking his head helplessly.

Renee was gloating over the fake news she had made, completely unaware of her impending doom.

When Nathan knew that Caleb wanted to teach Renee a lesson, he showed his support by asking his

assistant to pull some strings and make it difficult for Renee in the showbiz.

No one could mess with his sister-in-law!

Renee was about to sign a contract with a potential client today. They day before, they had already

reached an agreement of some sort. However, they suddenly turned her down without any explanation.

Not only that, but all the contracts signed by Renee were terminated.

Sheila finally erupted when she got the eighteenth phone call telling her to end the collaboration.

"What the heck is going on? Tell me! Why is everyone ending the partnership with me all of a sudden?

Why!" Sheila swept everything on her desk to the floor, questioning Renee, her eyes blood red.

Renee didn't have a clue. She tried to contact several companies that were interested in partnering up

with her but was rendered with no luck.

Luxstar had already told every company to stop working with Renee. Luxstar was the tycoon of the

showbiz that no one dared to go against. Renee, on the other hand, was nobody. It didn't matter if they

step on her.

The next day, Renee's scandals made headlines. Being involved in a love triangle, framing her

colleagues, fabricating evidence, and plotting against other celebrities were all elaborated in an article

that was illustrated with pictures.

This agent, Renee Morin, actually had no news value at all. However, her scandals were pinned on the

headline sections of all major websites for a week.

Now, no one in the showbiz would work with her anymore.

In order not to let Renee's scandals affect her, Sheila posted a video apologizing for Renee and saying

that she had no idea that Renee did all those disgraceful things.

After that, Bonnie made a post for Eva that said since the truth had been brought into daylight and

Eva's name had been cleared, she would let it go.

Seeing that, people had a completely new appraisal of Eva, admiring her kindness and generosity. For

this reason, Eva left a good impression on the mass. Many people apologized to Eva for their hate

comments through private messages.

Eva's post actually alleviated the tension on Sheila's side.

The next morning, when Eva found that her account had gained millions of followers overnight, her

eyes widened in surprise. This was totally out of her expectation.

Of course, she couldn't achieve this without Bonnie's help.
