Andrew had just left not long ago when Madelyn’s phone started vibrating. She fished it out and immediately declined the call.

However, the call came in again the next moment.

She picked it up and annoyedly said, “Hello?”

On the other end of the line, Carrie’s anxious voice came

through.

“Maddie, you need to get to the hospital quickly. Stella’s in the hospital.”

Madelyn, who had been groggy, became instantly alert and sat up straight in bed.

“What did you say?”

“She was beaten by Sebastian last night. You need to go

check on her.”

Now that Madelyn was fully awake, she jumped out of bed and hastily grabbed some clothes from the closet.

“Send me the location. I’m heading there now.”

“Alright.”

After hanging up the call, Madelyn received the location on her phone. She then rushed out the door without freshening

David spotted her as she hurriedly descended the stairs.

“Mrs. Miller, are you going out? Where are you headed?”

“To the hospital!”

“H–Hospital?”

Hearing she was going to the hospital again, David instinctively reached for the phone to call Andrew.

Feeling a headache coming on, Madelyn explained, “I’m just going to visit a friend. There’s no need to call him.”

David sighed in relief when he heard that she was only going

to visit a friend.

“How about having breakfast before you go?”

“No, thanks. It’s urgent!” 

Madelyn hurried out the door after speaking. She was

indeed in a rush.

Over the years, Sebastian had gained a notorious reputation in Klago City. He was known as a genuinely spoiled playboy

who was the center of numerous scandals.

However, Madelyn didn’t expect him to be vile enough to hit

a woman.

Although she was just going to visit her friend, as soon as she stepped out, David thought it over and still called

Andrew.

At that moment, Andrew was on his way to the company.

He frowned when he heard that Madelyn was visiting the hospital to see a friend.

“Got it.”

He glanced at Rowan after hanging up.

“Find out who she’s going to see at the hospital.”

Rowan, who was driving, was stunned for a moment, seemingly hesitant.

Before Rowan could respond, Andrew changed his mind, saying, “Forget it.”

“Understood.”

Rowan only responded right then.

When Madelyn arrived at the hospital and reached Stella’s ward, Robert Jimenez and his second wife, Abigail Oliver, were also there. Robert, who was Stella’s father, looked displeased.

Stella turned her head toward the window.

“You two should go. I won’t drop the charges!”

Her tone was firm and indifferent.

Robert’s expression grew even darker.

“Do you want to ruin him for life? You even hired Tristan

Garza to take on this case!”

Robert’s questioning caused Stella to reply coldly, “Mr.

Jimenez, if you have any issues, please discuss them with my lawyer.”

Robert instantly erupted in anger, throwing a water bottle from the ward onto the ground. Just as he was about to lash out, Abigail grabbed him.

“Go outside for now. Let me talk to Stell alone.”

“What could you possibly say to her? Do you think she’ll talk to you?”

“Robert, just wait outside for me.”

Abigail was insistent.

Although Robert was furious, nothing he could say would get through to Stella anyway. As such, he stormed out of the ward in a rage.

At that moment, Madelyn was standing outside the ward. When Robert saw her, though seething with anger, he knew she was Andrew’s wife and had to restrain his fury.

His expression remained sour, but he spoke to Madelyn respectfully.

“Mrs. Miller, if you could help dissuade Stell, the Jimenez family would be immensely grateful!”

Madelyn remained silent, not wanting to engage in a conversation with him.
