Chapter 16: The Wedding Approaches

"Let's talk about this some other time. Phoebe and Leonard's wedding is in a week's time and there's

no way I can just watch them get married like that. Are you going to help me or not?"

I laid my cards on the table to see how May would react.

"Queena, you're my best friend. How could I not help?"

I could not help grinning at May's answer. This was how she was. Despite her scolding and nagging,

she would still help me.

May asked, "So what's the next step in your plan?"

"First things first, we need to find out where the wedding's going to be held. There's no way I can allow

it to go on without a hitch and give the Jones family something to be smug about. I want to make it the

laughingstock of the city."

"Looks like you already have something in mind. Spill it..."

May looked at me with interest. I motioned to her and she leaned in close to me so I could whisper into

her ear.

After listening to my plan, she could not help bursting into laughter. "You're definitely something! That's

a really bold move!"

"It's just that you're going to get into a bit of trouble. Are you okay with that?"

"Yeah, it's fine. It's worth it if it'll help you get some payback."

She immediately agreed to my idea.

After that, I started to gather information about the wedding venue.

After all, Leonard and Phoebe's wedding was a huge event in S City. Once they had decided on a

venue, the invitations were sent out.

I managed to find out that the wedding would be held at Kylin Hotel on the 8th of August.

The only thing that I was worried about was Grandma's situation. Before this, she had advised me to

become stronger as well as to forget about my enmity with the Jones family.

she would be mad at me if she were to find out.

After the previous incident, there was no way I could get into the Jones family home, but I could not

help worrying about Grandma.
